  • Man I was so fucking nervous when the match started. Austin didn’t look good. You could tell how nervous he was. 19 years of waiting. In front of 70,000 fans. His home town. The grandest stage of em all. It must have gotten to him.. His stomps looked weak. He looked tired. I was really worried. Then KO threw him into a ring post and everything changed. He started crushing brews, and with every beer he downed he morphed more and more into the Stone Cold we all loved so dearly. By the end of watch he was the full blown Rattlesnake again. He’s such a fantastic storyteller part of me wonders if maybe he even did that on purpose? What a legendary match. I am so fucking happy he did it. What a moment. Thanks for everything Austin. The greatest of all time.

They're at "fifty plus years of embargo" levels of creativity with that shit like those Cubans who've kept 1940s cars running with wishes and duct tape. • Austin was Vince McMahon's biggest draw EVER! To this day, no one has sold more shirts, had more of an cultural impact than the Rattlesnake. You can have 1000 champions, it matters how much people relate to your character, and how you make them feel to connect with you. EVERYONE, no matter your gender, or race would love to kick their boss ass, drink alcohol and flip the bird for a living! Vince has had a few Austin/Rock level stars he's misused, BIG TIME! They would get over organically then he stopped their momentum. He doesn't want to create "Larger than Life" "Bigger than the WWE" type stars unless he hand picks them, like Roman. My thing is, why would you?? Who today can Retire, and come back in 2041. Yes, 2041! 19 years from now and do this? Very few! I congratulate Stone Cold. This was amazing. Never thought it would happen. He looked a little slow, but that's understandable. He's 57 years old..I grew up a Rock guy. I was my eye brow, and giving my pillows Rock Bottoms and People's elbows, but you better believe, they received a few STUNNERS to! OH HELL YEAH!!! 🖕🏾💀

But it was still sad and not in a good way. 20 hrs ago vs Rock you thought, wow those were two of the top wrestlers ever, both essentially going out with a hell of a match, but it was exciting to see where the business would go. But now, 20 years later, the older of the two (57), came back due to the company having a hard time selling tickets to their biggest show of the year, because the mainstream interest in the business has nose dived so dramatically. And his performance looked like it. But whatever. If the current fans who actually watch this stuff regularly enjoyed it, then that’s what matters I guess.
