Correction! He did more in only 1 year! They knew this was coming but did nothing to prepare
COULD HAVE BEEN THE NEXT EDDIE ROBINSON!
I DISAGREE WITH EVERYTHING YALL SAID!
I thank Coach Prime for showing JSU and the entirety of HBCUs what is possible. He achieved more in 3 yrs at JSU than many coaches do in 10 or more. Perfect season - 1st time ever. College GameDay at JSU - 1st time ever. GMA appearance. New facilities, new practice field, and more people talking about HBCUs than I've seen in quite a while. This was never about him becoming an HBCU coach til he retires. He blessed us with showing just what's possible.
The truth only if we invest in our own and come together the message “ENTIRELY”!!!!
Showed what's possible? Are you familiar with the history of HBCUs ?
Do you know how disrespectful and ignorant you sound about the history of HBCU football?
@lboogie..BUT WHY RUN TO A WHITE INSTITUTION?
@lboogie1441..POSSIBLE IN WHAT??? POSSIBLE RUNNONG TO A WHITE INSTITUTION? HE COULD HAVE SHOWN WHTS POSSIBLE IN BUILDING YOUR OWN UP! LOOK WHT HE ACCOMPLISHED IN 3 YEARS, THINK OF WHT HE COULD HAVE DONE IN 10 YEARS, 15 YEARS, 20 YEARS??
This school laid out the red carpet! Impeccable facilities!! I can't blame him at all for moving into his next blessing!! We all should be celebrating this black man right now and giving him our full support. We shouldn't be tearing him down. This is amazing and he deserves all this!!

The fact that he set up his kids with an opportunity to excel….is the best power move of all times. Coach Prime is an excellent business man and father!

I think he is doing this move for his kids which is good but Dion don't trust those white people. Watch your back

I know one thing whoever was responsible for the design of that facility is amazing!!!. Every single detail in every room and down every hall way was immaculate. You can't take that away from CO, this thing is beautiful & bit overwhelming. Deion's gonna need a road map & his scooter back to get around this place.
Those facilities are top of the line!!!
The first thing I thought is, where is his scooter?
You can tell it was a shock cause I guarantee when he was in school it wasn't like this lol This is new to him and he's taking it all in

And just like that, Coorado Buffalo's football next season is instantly relevant and watchable. I will be tuning in at every moment! I hope he brings back their old legends ...Kordell, Bienemy etc to speak with the kids. This is awesome!
CU just hired as their New Coach the only man on the planet who's played in a Superbowl and the World Series.Even Bo and Mike don't know that . People forget how many things he's done that no one else has done. He played in 2 MLB playoff games ( ATL Braves ) and played in a NFL game ( ATL Falcons) in a 24 hour period ‼️ One of the greatest collegiate Coaches ever Bobby Bowden referred to him as the greatest athlete he ever Coached . And Prime won't have time for players with egos only kids who come to work hard . That do it the right way . Time for the Buffs to return to National relevance and he will be bringing back all the legacy players and NFL HOF'ers to speak to your kids .
They should bring in Bienemy to coach 1 season with them
I doubt it. It will take a few years. 4-8 absolute ceiling for next year.
Naw. Leave Kordell the hell where he's at.

I'm a JSU alumnus (undergrad) and I was a bit angry with Coach Prime for leaving JSU so soon, but now that I see what he and his staff have moved on to, I cannot blame him for making the decision he made. He left an awesome legacy and an awesome challenge for the next JSU HC, but he gave the school and HBCUs a lot. We are grateful and we wish Coach Prime the best. What an awesome welcome. May God bless his time and each and every one of his days at Colorado.
Since you are a JSU alumn, do you believe that the JSU admin took any to steps to keep coach Prime?
Once they get rid of HBCUs, then things will get better at those schools.
Great point ... I can understand being a bit let down with CP departure .... it's almost like he was a teacher that comes around once in a lifetime at which point you have to enjoy the moment(s) of his greatness. I think that he showed the SWAC how great a conference it is....and he did this by thinking outside of the box.... it's almost like if he'd stayed at JSU he would of benefited that institution with wins...but the frame work that he provided for modern day media coverage and corporate sponsorships should leave a lot of clues for JSU and the SWAC moving forward.
Hey, if it's okay with you, I am sure its ok with all the black parents and their sons he bullshitted along the way, too.
@@BaahBen This the part that hurts me the most. l understand the politics and the moves he has to make for him and his son Shedeur, but it does feel like those guys get the short end of the stick. That’s gonna be a big talking point for Deion as a coach. “You have everything in the facility, you guys are pampered. There’s guys that wish they were in your shoes, if you don’t want to be here just let me know and I’ll get someone who wants to play cause they would love all this” 😂
Facts🤣🤣
That facility is absolutely amazing. And having attended and worked at an HBCU, the only thing I can think of is: 1) how HBCU alumni has to invest more, and 2) HBCU's need more competent leadership. Congratulations Coach Prime!
Public HBCUs recieve way less funding than PWIs and HBCU alum also don't have same wealth as white alum. Do yall know what systemic inequality
Well when your hired only based off of 1 criteria then of course most hbcu fail in certain areas
@@newszn_ I worked within Institutional Advancement at a college and even helped Bennett College raise nearly $10 million dollars in 60 days. I know what I'm talking about. From the sound of it you have zero idea how "funding" works in higher ed. "Systemic inequality" has zero to do with it. There are HBCUs that are thriving because of great leadership and infrastructure. Spelman, Morehouse, Howard, NC A&T, FAMU and more. Too many HBCU leaders have zero clue on how to grow and also raise money, and it all points to leadership.
@@vseanmoody8379 Exactly

Been a cu fan for 33 years. Have had season tickets in my family for 65 years, can’t remember being more excited than this for a coach. For me cu football in the 90s is nostalgia and something I’ll never forget: if we could just get some of that back. It would be amazing man. So excited
Should of stayed in the Big 12
@@andrewboyce7268 They were 1-11 last year..Do you think that team would have done much better in their old conference? But as a fan of University of Maryland football I can relate to what your saying. I thought they should have stayed in the ACC. But the money in the Big Ten pulled them away. Now they are in the same division as Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State. Right now that's an automatic 4 losses every year..SMH

@@SactoKevin lol, no kidding... all they really did was turn the lights on.
My friend is a waiter in Boulder. He said prime came in and they were really excited but he was extremely rude and demanding to the staff. Hopefully he was just having a bad day.
If y’all wanna talk about it, let’s talk about it. Prime got robbed twice in his first couple of months at JSU. He had to donate to the program to get basic stuff. He had to negotiate corporate sponsorships for other basic stuff. There were multiple instances where his team didn’t have WATER or ICE and he had to put his team in HOTELS IN JACKSON, just to they could have water. There was even a time when he was bathing in a hotel pool due to lack of water. Then he had to plead for the mayor of Jackson & the Governor of Miss. to put their disagreements aside to help the city of Jackson. THESE ARE 3RD WORLD CONDITIONS. The Governor of Miss. should feel embarrassed by these things happening in the state’s capital. In spite of all that, he won back to back SWAC titles, and brought College Gameday to an HBCU for the first time in more than a decade.
Ok point taken. I was questioning the move!!! Thanks for getting me out of my feelings.
Great points and also his son's truck got broken into and a student was recently shot on campus. I'm sure these were major factors for him as well.

But none of that is Jackson States fault. You know how many mass shootings happen in CO? Are we going to put that on CU?

The thing is billionaires, big time donors, NCAA money being brought in from tv alone not to mention logo sales are creating these disparities. Phil Knight upgrades Oregon’s faculties with his 68 Million dollars. It’s not “people” giving. This has become an investor’ playground.
@@sboyer087 it's not enough. The city itself isn't supporting JSU. Prime was coming out of pocket to help the school and generated 10s of millions for the city and they still couldn't fix the water or come together to fund the football team as a community
@@theanimerapper6351 you can’t fund the football team as a city when you’re neighboring citizens are below the poverty line. Everyone’s water is screwed up not just the football team. We’re speaking on one of the poorest states in America.
U deserve this one OG you can tell the whole family loving this blessing 🙏🏾💯🤞🏾
This puts a smile on my face! As a Buckeye fan, I have no connections to the state of Colorado or this team, but I’ll be rooting for them this upcoming season! Coach Sanders is truly what college football needed, and I hope those that play under him have success on the football field and most importantly…off the football field.
I was thinking the same thing.
He might be taking some of you guys recruits tho lol
Really dude 😒
@@TheLaron2006 yea just read a report he was talking to a kid named brandon inniss #1 wr/rn apparently and he pulled his commitment from OSU
I'm so emotional watching this. A man with his family. This is so beautiful.
Aw man. Absolutely amazing!!
Me too, all tears
Same here!
I grew up watching prime I loved watching him he was 49er I'm a niner fan I was at the catch I can't wait to see what happens at Colorado I'm so excited I'm actually in tears right now because of how many people he's going to help what a great man
Been a fan of deion yaw deserve every good blessing and love thanks for everything u doing and did in the Jack I was born a raised in mississippi I live in Longmont Colorado never been to a game out here but now I gotta come and meet u it's a mississippi colorado type thang baby 😆 ❤️💪🏿🙏🏿✊🏿💯
I'm grateful to have witnessed the last three years, leaps and bounds for JSU, the team the community, the many supporters. This is bittersweet.

Just imagine if your community stopped glorifying ignorance violence and gangs. There would be a ton of coach primes walking around everyday.

So what's going on with Shilo
@@freddie2725 He can’t transfer anymore
Why can’t he transfer?
@@willmoore8098 I hear you. I'm conflicted. But, we don't know what the man is going through, what he's battling!

I’ve been in professional lockers rooms working with professional teams and their locks room locks better than a professional team’s locker room. That’s tough!
And, that is an average-looking facility. Take a look at UGA, Alabama, Texas, and Clemson's facilities.
AWESOME! My BIGGEST takeaway is THE CLASS that Deion and his Family showed. WE wasn't acting Brand New! That's how ALL OUR PEOPLE should move! I'm AMPED! Much success to you and the FAM! Deion Jr. The transition was aiight! Lmbao Keep doing wat ya'll doing! I love to see OUR people in this light! #TALENTED10th #BKSTANDUP
Damn just seeing the disparity in the facilities. You know why he left and know he had to level up, but my heart just hurts for the young men. I just hope more people start giving back to their schools to elevate and attract our talented young people.
Only sensible comment here. My heart hrts for the young men too. Nobody else seems to care about them. People so use to coaches doing this but all those other coaches were JUST coaching football. Deion was doing much much more than just football. He was mentoring them for off the field too. That's more important imo.
Because he that's what he claimed he wanted to change from the beginning and he didn't stay long enough to do it. They talked about it on I Am Athlete remember
@@mahleezy he did get their facilities upgraded. Stop the 🧢. HBCUs have little to no investors at all. Prime used his name and connections to get them the best stuff they can get
$5 million Plus reasons he is moving to Colorado
@@the_lonely_winner2956 ain't nobody capping he didn't finish the mission. A facility upgrade ain't leveling the playing field which is what HE said he wanted to do. He preached all week to his team about focusing and finish well guess what that's the complete opposite of what Deion did. You slice it up all you want but that's the cold hard facts. When you have to try to talk your team out of transferring and the big recruits that you sold on culture and not needing to go to a big name school with money and recourses and you leave for that very reason you look like a hypocrite. I love Deion but Prime didn't finish what he started and that's the truth.
May God bless his time and each and every one of his days at Colorado. kzhead.info/sun/fcaue9tphKOfY2w/bejne.html
I would be pissed
As an alumna do you donate back to the school as you’re supposed to
He loves the lord and is not ashamed of it and I am sure that he consults with God before making any decision. Plus I am sure he will work with the school on finding the proper replacement. God bless that man and his future endeavors.
JSU sucks, people getting murdered on campus the day he left, his shit getting stolen constantly, other SWAC coaches and players cussing him out, crime, and you can't even drink the damn water.
The alum should have been raising 💰 to keep him and get that campus right. He was coaching on a small budget.
When it's your first time touring the facility and there's already a pic of you in full Colorado gear coaching a game....now that's prime.
I love how he takes his family with him
He get to bring his coaches that’s been with him for years as well
Man’s chasing his dream while providing the best for his family!
I agree, you can see the happiness in his eyes as they toured. I can imagine he said to himself that he arrived. He was faithful with Jackson, even with the little that they had, look how he was blessed with more. Coach Prime and family deserve it. I see that he was walking with a little limp? Maybe it’s such a big University to travel. By foot. He needs a golf cart, I’m sure they have one reserved for him. Congrats Mr Sanders! God bless you Sir.
@@Hello-kv4hb The limp is due to his near life ending blood clot that he had going on and had to have a good portion of his lower leg muscle and tissue removed.
I totally agree
Coach Prime has brought so much joy to Boulder and Colorado. Looking back at this video after we’re 2-0 makes me feel some type of way. I saw Prime and his wife at a restaurant in Boulder about two months after this was filmed. He ain’t hard to find. God bless Deion and the Sanders family, we’re blessed to have them here, even for a brief moment in time 🫡
Wow this is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations Mr Sanders and his entire coaching staff!❤️❤️
The more I think about it, what else is left for Deion to accomplish at JSU???! I think he has completed his assignment: 2 consecutive years as SWAC champions, heightened awareness of HBCUs, these young men have gained lifetime lessons, centered God throughout his work and probably have connected more people with God, stronger community, no games lost this season… he’s kinda done it all!
Plus all the millions he donated to the campus. He's done everything and then some. Happy he's finding his next challenge. His success is all of our success.
They didn’t win the swac last year 😂but carry on

This move isn’t just for Prime. He has coaches that have been with him for years… this move will set them up for success on a major level. Truth be told they weren’t getting paid at JSU what they’ll be getting paid in Colorado. Prime don’t need the money. He’s his brothers keeper 😤
This man worked his way up to a well deserved position. He's a winner and never let's anyone tell him differently.
I love how he carries himself. Did u peep how every time the tour guide pointed or showed him something he looked where he wanted to. He do his own thing on his own accord and i respect that.
It's a bitter sweet decision, hope the family prospers -- and success to all!

The calm before the storm. Love it! It’s about to get real in Colorado, he’s coming!
Yeah Lincoln is coming. Lmao
You can how much of a wow is on his face. These kids have it all. I can tell how happy he is for his kids to enjoy all that. That means a lot to him. But you also know hes looking around like what.

From can’t get water for the players, to water fountain on every corner, upgrade coach or prime deserves it.💯
That he can do this with his kids, man this is beautiful.
I am so overjoyed for Deon that I got chills and tears in my eyes watching it. While he is living it and taking it all in stride. When I saw that plaque with his photo, So proud of him. Then when they walked into the Stadium and his face on the jumbo screen, just too much my eyes teared up again. It's crazy also to see Deon walking with a limp. Growing up he was a super hero to us young men who played and followed sports. As adult men he didn't let us down either. He remains an example to other men how to make moves, give back, be men of purpose.
Beautifully stated 👏
Money dont jingle...it folds..
Prime had to have two of his toes amputated. That sucks
He could have been a major factor HBCU transformation; now, he's just a Coach.
A rich ads Coach.
He showed JSU what is possible. Now he is bringing his staff up with him--gotta love it!!! Go Coach Prime!!!
