Building your dream body is about more than what you do in the gym. It's about what you do in your mind-how you visualize your success and envision your legacy. Arnold Schwarzenegger pictured himself as a champion bodybuilder, and he built a blueprint to become just that. Whether you want to shred for a competition or lose weight for life, Arnold's Blueprint to Cut will help you succeed.

  • Imagine a competition where you train with your opponent and actively aim to help them be as good as they can be. Making them train harder, eat as well as they can and make sure they were best prepared to win against you. Its like a whole new level of sportsmanship.

    • Michael Bonyad yea there’s a weird period where not much is progressing and you feel like giving up because it’s taking so long but if you push through the slump the progress starts to come fast. I could barely do 2 pull ups 3 months ago, now I do 10 weighted. 155 lbs was a really hard squat for me, now I can rep out 155 like it’s nothing. All in just a few months

  • Best part IMO 33:37. Arnold is a perfect example of a guy who realizes the body will adapt or die trying with whatever you throw at it, be it 1000 lbs on calf raises, 6 hours sleep every night, and 18 hours of go-go. If you want achievement, the only person holding you back is yourself. In his book he also mentions that after his first competition in which he placed second, he was at first pleased because he expected 4th or 5th. Paraphrasing, he wrote, "I was happy until I got in my head and realized I beat my expectations, so why then didn't I set them higher?" Shortly after he writes, "From then on I was always going for the top. If you were inside my head you would hear, 'I am the best, just get out of my way, you are slowing me down.'

    • +DamnDesert If a guy's sitting there for 5+ minutes on a machine that doesn't really require much rest, sure, say something if that's ur thing. But sometimes I hear old school guys suggest nobody should use their phone ever in the gym, as if you can't even rest 3 minutes between a heavy set of squats and pick a different song to listen to. I'm old school about basic exercises, but I don't see any problem with using a phone in the gym. If I keep track of sets, reps, weights, exercises, etc., I'm gonna do it on my phone, I'm not gonna bring a notebook. Much bigger problem in gyms is when the only spot for chin ups is the handles attached to the cable machine and you have 2 or 3 dickheads doing biceps curls there for 45 minutes and posing in the mirror.

  • I grew up with watching Arnold before he hit the Hollywood Scene. What an inspirational journey. Many people focus on the negative of his life. Who of us doesn’t have negative things in our lives? What an opportunity to learn about Arnold and his training regime. What wisdom he has to say about bodybuilding.

  • I have his encyclopedia to bodybuilding. I got it on sale at barnes and noble years back for like 12 bucks. Its a huge book and has EVERYTHING you could ever need to know for Lifting. May it be beginners ALL the way to posing for shows. It really was the best 12 bucks I ever spent. If you don't own it, YOU SHOULD.
