Dammit, I relied a lot on showpos to see how fast Im going when jumping with bump mines, knowing how long I can rampslide, knowing how likely I am to chain jumps and all sorts of things. Even just to see how fast my bhops and backhops are. Would love to have a cl_showspeed command like in Quake to make up for this loss. Edit: Nothing against Spunj ofc!
Yeah me too. I used cl_showpos when I was learning how to bhop and get a feel for how fast I really was going.
@@noahpoobbailey Most kz and bhop servers have a command that allows a more fancy speed display to be viewed by the player. Ask around next time you're on one, and someone will probably know the specific command for the server you're on.

The bug with weird moving vegetation on Ancient is still there, I encountered it in today (after update) deathmatch when map changed from Basalt to Ancient.
man the loss of "cl_showpos" is a bit harmful for newbies as its would be harder to study bhopping and other movement techniques. they should make a new separate "cl_showspeed" command or something to compensate for this
You can still use it if you set sv_cheats to 1 (which youll probably do when you are studying new techniques)

Didn't know about the cl showpos command but oh crap how useful that was... I'm out of the loop now with CSGO now but with Philip, it's hard to miss anything
cl_showpos now cheat protected. Just yet another way Valve is killing off community servers. People on skill servers use that function often, now community server operators have to work around it. Thanks Valve.
They have not used cl_showpos for as far back as i can remember. They already have a workaround
Yeah Idk what youre talking about but I cant think of any community server mode where showpos would be important to such a degree that it would actually harm them or where they dont have a workaround already.
@@ejss either way they have use game _text which is unneeded demand (be it small) extra resources server side when people can do it client side. As well as servers can hit the max limit of game_text like zombie escape servers and have 0 options without some roundabout fix. Literally just make the command a cvar that’s togglable so easy of a fix.

This being said, you totally deserve de Reddit award and IMO there should be a KZhead one too, as I haven’t seen another youtuber to get into so many technical details about problems the are, on the first glance, so simple, yet are so complex if you get to study them. You haven't covered the disconnect bug, that happens when cheaters use a certain module hook that valve is now checking ( retaddr ), whenever they find that this has been manipulated with, the server will disconnect everyone.
Oh that explains why i’ve been “losing connection” whenever i try to do missions on nonprime ever since the last update. Was wondering why that was only happening on nonprime lol

To line up my nades, I use scripts to switch/change my crosshair. When holding a nade my crosshair changes to a crosshair that is as width and heigh as my screen with thin lines, so I can use it as reference to anything on screen. Basically it's an awp crosshair without the blackborder for any weapon. Helpfull when you have to point your crosshair to a point in the sky but still have some reference points on the side of your screen. Switching back to a weapon changes the crosshari back to normal. Also, the color of the crosshair is linked to the weapon/or nade, so I don't have to takeaway my eyes of my crosshair to know what I'm holding.

Disabling showpos is a bit stupid in my opinion. I use it to see how fast I'm going for bunnyhopping, especially on servers with the speed uncapped where using it can tell you if you can make a jump or not.

I don't like the idea of not playing with show pos since on online servers u have to use sv cheats to get it but most of the map running servers cannot use sv cheats since ppl would just destroy them

I don’t like the disabling of cl_showpos I use it when reviewing gameplay to see if my velocity was zero when I was shooting Or if I was still moving when shooting
I wish there was a way to still see what your velocity is in a live match. Don’t care much for the coordinates though

Hey Philip, can you pls make a video on faster reaction disadvantage topic? yes, in some cases bad/higher reaction time is better: when you both moving and you have better/less reaction time - you'll notice enemy first, stop first and start shooting first, while enemy with worse/lower reaction will notice you later, but when he start shooting - he'll shoot in your standing model, with first bullet accuracy, while you were shooting in moving enemy, and when he stopped - you now need to spray transfer onto his standing model (unless you oneshotted him with ak/deagle, which ofc possible, but less likely to happen/harder to do, and we talk about average statistics). it's the opposite of "fast peek" situation when you pre-concentrate before peeking to have so called "reaction advantage" (it's concentration in fact, not reaction, but that's another topic), when slower reaction is better, so noobs running around without brain have better chances to win the duel. it also occurs in pro matches, when players have comparable reaction, but more confident/aggressive players who run without fear will often win duels. So I hoped you can study this topic deeply, as you always do :)

3:33 yes but you can also use steam deck with keyboard and mouse and external monitor.
That and the touchpad n gyro controls are I'd argue on par with kb+m. I haven't used Volvo's tech but I did muck around with a couple mobile shooters and the difference to a regular controller was shocking

Have you tried streaming? Its likely that only a portion of the yt audience will also support the stream, but I honestly think it might work out great in the long run. I know you do variety gaming with 2kliks and people will prob get mad if you variety on this channel, but I think if you stream on twitch with the name 3kliks you wont subvert people's expectations(because i think it's far enough removed) and you can get some extra pull by using your main name. Just spitballing here, but you could even make a little banner on stream that tells the audience which klik you are, you can even make a bit of a deal of it when you swap, like add some comedy. idk, I just streaming might be slow at the start with only a portion of the current fanbase being likely to go over and support, but i think it will work out great in the long run. It's more exposure, specifically with collabs. Anyway, I wish you the best for 2022. You deserve it

CSGO pro scene subreddit should be a thing. Every time I check onto it there's loads of pro scene posts that I don't care about. If it was more leaned towards the game itself it would have been cool because there's people who want to discuss stuff in regards to the game. I've said this before and I still true to my words. Regardless, gratz to you Philip.

if they added the short match money to competitive, terrorists could plant the bomb and lose and have full AK+nades while cts would have at most m4 no nades or mp9 nades.

They updated the menus in dota2 in preparation for the steam deck and it's the most frustrating thing ever. I've accidently reported like 10 people since it came out. At least they removed the drop item here menu change lol

I don’t agree with Philip about increasing the loss bonus in classic competitive. I view short matches as much more casual and fast paced, there the change makes sense. However, in a best of 30 round game pistol rounds are important for a reason, the team that lost gets punished economically, not allowing them to buy decent weapons. Frankly speaking, I really liked the old system that was reworked a couple of years ago where a team that won the pistol round was basically guaranteed to win the next two rounds. I might be confusing something something, but oh well…
Pistol rounds are too random for them to be worth 6/16 rounds you need to win
as a flying scoutsman and arms race player, the collision changes to ar_shoots makes the game 100x better

Philip u should investigate into the bot farms in flying scoutsman and demolition mode where 4 bots dominate the game , switch teams and if u join any team all the bots join in to kick you out of the lobby ah those games used to so much fun , now nobody plays them and it's a horde for bots
I was right, they did change the loss round balance, i was suddenly wondering how I was able to buy AWPs so quick.
there is a problem with servers as well i was trying to do the operation missions on offical casual and deathmach servers but servers just keep crushing and crushing after this update

after this update, the EU West and Warsaw server is crashing for me and my numerous friends just after i join the game (everybody gets kicked, the match isnt even displayed in the match list) so the game is unplayable for me and my friends

I gotta say this idk what happened but in December of 2021 when I started playing again my connection was good everything was smooth. Once these updates and the dreams and nightmares promo dropped I get random packet loss that wouldn’t seem significant day going from 30 ping to 40 ping in an instant but it feels like I’m playing against a lag switcher on a console from back in the day. A few other people I’ve played with are experiencing the same issue and it’s only with CS:GO I can play squad, halo, r6 and have zero issues. I hope they soon address this because it’s infuriating to lose hun fights all because you feel like you’re being tossed all over your screen. (Also my connection is great I even upgraded my router and such just to be sure and it’s all on valves end with these issues)
