Thanks, I was between buying the standalone bottle or full kit. I have a hired work truck I noticed a few scratches on the back. It needs to go back soon and was worried I'd be paying an arm and leg for repairs. Will give this a try in hope it'll ease some of the expense. As you made it look easy, I went for the bottle only.

I've started using similar Meguiars products and paint restoration products and they work really well. I'm impressed with them thus far. As a keen amateur with health challenges I can't afford to spend lots of time or end up damaging the paint etc. Meguiars seem to cater for that approach, whilst taking care of your second biggest purchase, your car✌️👍😊😊

It actually works well. I did my car yesterday. I was shocked with the results. Some scratches disappeared 100% and some disappeared by 90%

Has the product worked as advertised?
One tip: when you wipe off after rubbing, fold the microfiber cloth into 4 equal squares so it becomes softer for the paint and turn it over if you have to rub in several places.

I have used MEGUIARS SCRATCH X 2.0 on cars and guitars. I have a Fender Strat which no longer has scratches . Try buffing your car with Meguiar’s Gold Class Carnuba Wax. The wax will make a difference. They have excellent products. Your ride looks better now, good stuff

Didn't work at all. Will have to go to a professional shop. Mine is a lightly scratched roof top over the driver side door, apparently where some lady scratched it with her ring as she was entering the vehicle. Very tiny scratches but they will not buff out for me. Thanks anyway, man.

Amazing stuff. Went off roading in my 4runner in the mendicino national forest and came back with a lot of trail stripes. This stuff took out some deep scratches. Very impressed.

@@artysgarage I will for sure. I need to remove my right hand side rear mudflap. Clean the area then apply the wax. When its all done I can install the mudflap back in. Its nothing to serious can be fixed on my own. I will let you know. I have confidence this will work. Also I should invest in a dash cam too. Im so over people not admitting to any accident.

My neighbors full grown pit bull was really excited to see me and she jumped up on the side of my truck several times as I was pulling into the driveway. @@artysgarage Thanks. I'll let you know how it works. I can't feel the scratches with my fingernail so I'm thinking that it shouldn't be any problem removing them. I'll have to wash my truck first because it's covered in ashes from the wildfire we've had over the last week near Flagstaff, Arizona. Luckily, the fire is almost contained and we didn't have to evacuate from our neighborhood.

@@juliecairns9644 I haven't tried the product because I live off of a dirt road and I rarely wash my truck. Luckily my truck is silver and the scratches are barely even visible. I'm off road quite a bit and already have small paint chips etc. so I decided to heck with it. If you try it, I would like to hear about the results because I will eventually get around to trying it myself. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck and hope the product works for you.

Thank you for posting this video! I used Megiuar's Ultimate Compound a few days ago to get out two HUGE rust stains on the hood of my car. The one thing I regretted most was not making a video while doing it, because it worked like a miracle! The rust stains were gone instantaneously, and with a little bit of hand-waxing my hood looked like new in a few minutes. I paused at only 1:52 minutes into your video to post this comment. I will give Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 a try and make a video to show the results. Based on the results of the Ultimate Compound, I will give this product a try. I am exited to see how it works out. Nearly got this after seeing some new scratches on my car; one looked kind of deep for this treatment. Decided to give my Turtle wax paste a try first & it worked! For a fraction of the price and hardly any time! Just apply it like you're waxing your car and when it dries wipe off with a soft dry cloth, circular motions.

Should the towel be wet? I was told a foam applicator is also good. I have a brand new car and found a little spec of rock in my hood or a little chip/nick. It was hard to see. I went to pick it off my my finger nail thinking it was a bug. I now have little faint and light scratches on thr hood in about a one inch area. Can I apply the scratch x dry and not wet? Should you use a damp micro fiber cloth? Why circular and not left to right? I've heard people say if you let the product dry, it will damage the surface. What about trying in a hiden area first? Thanks.

It safe to use just don’t go overboard and use to much of the product and with a lot of force when applying it! I used it many times and never had a issue! In the video I showed how I use it maybe try it my way 👍

Meguiard interior detailing products are great, i cant speak the same for exterior. Turtle wax graphene ceramic dominstew the hybrid cetamic offered from meguiars, in 1 its more glossy and 2 its more durable and 3 its bullet proof to dish soap where meguiars comes right off. Now. Iron remover, nothing beats car pro ironx, invis glass cleaner is best and cheap on the market, adams shampoo is the best foam. Meguiars interior detailer is one of the best as its an all purpose cleaner as well as a protectant, chemixal guys microfibers are better than meguiars, as well as chem guys honey dew along with vrp is superior than meguiars. Ive been detailing for about 8 years, ive tried plenty of products from turtle wax to adams to carpro to modesto to meguiars to armorall (dont buy this, it will ceack your dash) toblack magic to eagle, tried em, then just picked up a variant of the best from some of these brands

No this isn’t a cover up. This product is a scratch remover... so if it helps by removing your scratch then it’s gone for good 👍

Hey! How hard did you have to press while doing circling motion?
You don’t have to press down hard. Once you starting going into circle just slowly add pressure. If the scratch is to deep it won’t go away regardless on the pressure you apply! I hope this helps you 🙏👍

Did someone try to do a paint correction on it ? Using a compound night leave it looking hazy and you might need to polish it! Hard to exactly recommend you something without seeing it.

If the scratch is very deep and this compound won’t work then most likely other products like this wont work either!
Arty, I tried it anyhow and it helped. However, there's a film around the diameter of scratches. It really shows up on the black paint. Any suggestions on how to work that out? Meguiar's Mirror Gaze maybe? Thanks again for your help!

I’ve only used it by hand but I did read on different forums that it was formulated for hand and when you use it with a machine and it heats up it doesn’t do well! You can try it but I recommend by hand 👍
They need to change the name to "surface scratch remover" cuz you're right, it dont work on scratches that penetrate the clear.

Just by what your saying I’m guessing a Brillo Pad depending how you used it probably damaged your paint pretty bad so I don’t think this will work! I haven’t seen your damage so it’s hard to say what will work in your situation.
Start with a mild compound ( like meguiars ultimate compound ) apply it the same way he did in the video. If it does not work you can try a more abrasive/aggressive compound with a buffer machine.

Can this be used on windshields? My windshield has a bunch of little tiny nicks and fine scratches from just wear and tear over it’s 9 year life. Anything I can do to make the glass smooth and clear?
I personally never used this product on glass! It’s hard to recommend something without seeing your window? I believe there are certain kits to polish glass.
@@artysgarage it’s pretty minor but when cleaning the glass and the sun shining at the right angle you can see ok the little mirco pieces that are probably just from little gravel and stuff the road flicked up over time. Is it something that I could do myself or is it worth paying to make sure I don’t mess it up?
If they are minor chips from small rocks and you run you finger nail and it’s deep it won’t go away with a polish ( I think ). If you do decide to use a certain product I would love to hear back from you to see what you used and if it worked 🙏

Hey Arty! Will this product work for car door scratches. Someone opened up their car door on my car and it’s scratched a nice quarter sized amount.
It should work if the scratch isn’t deep! If you have paint from the other car left on yours this will work on removing that for sure.

@@MR-es1gl yea color doesn’t matter. Only thing you need to worry about is how deep the scratch is! You have few layers of clear coat on your factory paint and if it the scratch isn’t deep it’s works great 👍 give it a try and if it removes it after hit it with a polish and you will be like new
