This was like watching 2 guys having to hang out because their wives are friends.
That's exactly what it was like.
Very underrated comment😂😂
HAHAHAH right on the mark @richardSchaefer
Made me laugh more than anything in this episode. Thanks lol

Watching this is what it feels like when you make a joke to your parents and they turn it into a lecture
Rae M perfect analogy
@@cosmicman621 That's what Bill has been like on all the podcasts i've seen recently. Exactly the same annoying lecture attitude he had on H3 Podcast.
Yup! If you're a newer comedian or up and coming, Bill doesn't even try to understand or flow with the conversation or the humor. He lectures you and tears u apart. I appreciate his honesty, and I'm a fan. But he does that shit on podcasts. Except for Joe Rogan! He doesn't do that shit to Joe. Yes bill we are just starting wars for nothing
I wonder if Bill is still his fave comedian after this brutal interaction. I felt like I was watching a nice dude try to impress his hateful father in law but he’s already decided he hates him.
Looking too much into it. Bill is being himself, and Theo is in interview/conversation/learning mode.

I love how Bill inquired about Theo’s acquaintance with the school bus, asked a few redundant questions and as Theo is replying - He decides that’s enough and cuts him off to promote his special. I’ve never even seen a conversation operate like that.
I think Bill could probably sense Theo wasn’t really trying to lead into anything they could both relate to so he tried to circle the conversation back to something they could both bounce off of.

Bill's one of my favourite comedians and I hope this isn't the real him. Massive thumbs up to Theo for handling Bill's persistent "throwing his toys out of the pram" attitude.
It is who he is, pretty much anytime I've ever seen em. He's an old grumpy dude who was raised thinking being vulnerable is the same thing as being weak by his hardass of a dad. There's tons of people like that, doesn't necessarily make them bad people, but it can make them hard to talk to
@@Project_Worm Yes, I totally understand your point. However, I'm a grumpy fucker myself and I grew up with a less than exemplar dad, but with age I've realised that the "that's who I am" excuse is just another sign of arrogance and immaturity. At no point in this interview has Theo lacked respect towards Bill and yet he really leaned into him whenever possible. I don't care really, it's just a sad realisation that people aren't always what you think they are.
@@Kengouru Oh 100% I wasn't defending Bill, though I doubt he cares enough to be defensive about it. Soooo true though 😂
haha. It seemed like Bill had some type of chip on his shoulder the whole time and it just occurred to me what you said. I forgot about that I was wondering what his deal was. And I think you hit the nail on the head.
Theos last second question “Did you ever donate sperm when you were coming up as a comedian?” Bill: “no and I don’t have a gun in my helicopter but I gotta go, my daughter is waking up from her nap and I’m on duty” just about sums up the interview. Like 2 ships passing each other in the night and stopping to party a little for an hour.
Loved 40:28 when Theo just casually moved past the question
I noticed that, too. He REALLY didn't wanna get shot down for that. That was the only part of the podcast where I felt the discomfort. I just saw Bill cracking jokes like he always does. But when he asked if he believed in heaven and Theo was just serious and continued his train of thought, I was like "Bill, don't you dare...". I'm glad he didn't roast him for his beliefs. Usually I'm the one to respect people more who push buttons in comedy no matter what the topic is. It might be because it's personal for me, also.
I dont think Bill Burr is Theo's favourite anything anymore lolol.
don't meet your heroes etc.

SandBlaster3000 maybe Theo would have gotten over that by now if he had someone who supported him, but told him what he needed to hear instead of coddling him. I used to love that about Theo, but unfortunately the “we had a guy” made up stories is getting a little old. Theo needs more range as a comedian, which is why Bill has a hard time relating to him
You don’t know how much I laughed at this
Steven Schwope idk why your comment has me dying.
13:42 Theo's face after that is priceless
"HAHAHAHAHA" *crickets* "Sorry" 😂
I think they cut and pasted two clips together
I wonder what happened cause they cut after he said that funeral joke. Would love to see the conversation they had before cutting to Theo’s deadly stare lol
@@Khaze215 I think I saw it before they edited it out of the video, it was Theo not really liking the joke while Bill went on a rant or something like that.
Bill tryin way too hard to be a dick
Theo Von talking about "What if Shane GIllis is supposed to be one of the best comedians ever?"... 3 years later and it ends up happening.
just because of a bunch of zoomers think hes funny doesnt mean he is lmao
@@stephaniecoomey2356 he’s been on Rogan a bunch I’m sure that’s a big reason why he’s doing so good now
Geez calm down mate not even close to being a decent comic
@@chook1311 thank you
Shane is a legend already
What’s so cool is watching Theo change and grow as a person!
Bill beimg bill and Theo being Theo. Like a peanut butter and ranch dressing sandwich.💪
Yes good analogy
This is the best comment
The realest comment I've read.
Couldn't have said it better....I was feeling it but didn't know how to describe it!! Lol
Bill was the one making it not work
"at any point can I promote my special? I'm not sure where we're going with this" - 5 minutes into the episode
Yep really weird but I think it kinda revealed what Bill was about walking in here. Pretty smug imo
I think there was some of the beginning edited out so it was probably longer than that, I can tell a few spots where there are edits
Bill stared real deep into the dark arts and freaked out 5 minutes in
Thought that was pretty strange too
@@Gloth_Sang that’s how a lot of people from mass/new england are
I like how bill burr thought napoleon was 2000 years ago
The ending was fantastic. Just wrapping up a "phone call between friends." So good
Love Bill Burr but it’s pretty obvious throughout this podcast that he’s just not familiar or comfortable with the level of emotional honesty Theo Von brings to the table.
@Aslan you put into words what I didn't even know I was thinking...
Bill is a responsible adult male. Theo is the rat king. Two different lives
Well said
I agree. And vice versa. They just have different flavors of honesty. Burr is more brutally honesty and Theo more in touch with and honest with his feelings (which has never been something Burr is into and tends to get annoyed by)
Emotional honesty? The fuck you talking about? It's just oil and sewer water; don't mix. I've seen Bill be kind to emotionally vulnerable people (see H3 Podcast). They'll just never hangout. Bill will probably never do his podcast again. I've heard Bill say he only wants (and needs) to do Rogan; and he's right.
Dude I love bill, he’s one of my favorite comedians but I gotta say he acted like an absolute arrogant douch bag, and props to Theo for being so passive and nice
Kyle pussy
I think it's because Theo is incapable of having a serious conversation and it annoyed the fuck out of Bill. Probably thought he was going to have easy going conversation and not have to make up bullshit for an hour. Bill's awesome when he's on Rogan.
Bill was being Bill, dude. Take it or leave it.
Was looking for this comment. Burr is one of my favorite comedians, but he was a condescending dick on more than one occasion on this podcast
@@ap3shhh cause they were smoking cigars and wanking each other ? I love Burr and Rogan but their latest episode was boring
🤣Susan Boyle played there🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well played theo🏴🤟
Theos reaction was priceless 13:52 lmao
I've never heard the guest end the podcast for the host, lmao.
It was a dick move. If he had to take care of his kid he could have had told them before the show so they could have ended it at an appropriate time for him
@Jeff B your hat probably smells like fat people
@@kyleprice9830 your keyboard and mouse probably reek of virginity and unemployment, but hey, who's to judge?
@@henrylowe2651 keyboard and mouse lolol old ass man
If Bill and Theo do another podcast together I think it will go a lot smoother because they'll both know not to try and relate to each other. They have literally nothing in common besides being in the same industry.
I agree, this was truly the underlying problem of the interview in the first place. Theo at least was a gentleman, and put in some effort and respect. bill was just a condescending dick. Bill is projecting so hard when he said no one would be at Theo's funeral.
I don't want to be that guy, but Burr has also mellowed out a ton after doing shrooms. The amount he has changed in just two years is astounding, and I think he'd be a much better guest for Theo, especially after seeing him on all these other podcasts post 2020. How he was on Tyson's podcast comes to mind. It's like a night and day difference compared to this.

The Manscape voice over for the BetterHelp lower third… Hilarious
I am crying laughing 😂😂😂😂
Theo has awesome interviews with Rogan and Jordan and yet Bill can’t let his guard down.
Yeah he vibed so well with Joe, you laugh with them but this is just awkward.
My two favorite comics finally on the same podcast. Today just got a hell of a lot better. Edit: never mind, spoke too soon. Christ bill is just sandbagging the whole podcast.
Yes it did my friend
Fuck. YES
I also generally prefer this general topic quite greatly !
gang gang
Hellyea. I just need dave chappelle and its complete
Hands down biggest takeaway is realizing Theo is 41 years old.
Nah that Theo was about to say he was born in 1990 first 🤣 😂
With zero pop culture knowledge appa.
And that he's been doing comedy for over 20 years(at least I'm pretty sure). The man's got a shrimp boil for blood and simply does not age.
I just turned 30 and me and my girlfriend where guessing his age a few days ago.. I thought he was 28 and my girl said 31 and when I heard he was 10byears older then me I almost shit myself haha.. I guess I just age bad
I thought theo was early 30s for sure he just acts like a mid 20s stoner kid
IM LIVING FOR THE “who’s talking about death now, bill?” COMMENT AAAAHSHDHDIJDJ 😂
Bill Burr went from my favorite comedian to like, my 10th favorite. Theo jumped from 10th to third.
And nobody cared
Times they are a changin
Ive listened to bill burr since 2004 on opie and anthony but just never got it. He was kinda ok as a third mic.. sometimes. His whole voice, demeanor, and jokes are just annoying
Okay.
@@looper964looks like nearly 50 people cared retard
Bill Burr told him not to put it on the podcast since bookers might get a funny feeling but Theo did it anyway. And that's what we do out here.
Yeah that suchs an LA thing for bill to say, hes quickly getting out of touch with normal people. He needs to take a trip to boston for the winter and recalibrate.
koningkont you are not doing shit so stfu
Lol, he said ‘I wouldn’t leave that in the podcast’.
Wut where this happen????
@@j0ker138 Ofcourse I wasn't implying that I was the one making the conscious effort to leave the specific part in the podcast, I would have to be Theo Von to do this. You were not under the assumption that I was under the illusion that I am Theo Von in the flesh I believe. By uttering the words 'That's what we do out here' I was ofcourse conveying some sort of companionship or brotherhood to the podcast and it's listeners. I know you know what I actually meant. So I won't 'stfu' that's just not what we do out here.
Ol' Bill the Bully Burr. His empathy tank is on ZERO. Thank you for being different than everyone in the Business, Theo. Stay grounded my friend. #praiseGod #GangGang
Well Theo is greater then bill of course it's awkward because he's younger this scenario rarely works out in any job sports, comedy, acting, modeling absolutely nothing, singing the list never ends
#praisesatan
Agreed
for real
Dangerz Own Bill is technically the best. But Theo ; when allowed to shine , is the most unique and original. Bill says shit we all think. Theo articulates things in a way that we didn’t know we were thinking, but in a way that seems more viscerally true and odd.
Love and respect Theo much more after this 💞
fuck me... that shit cranks my gears when I see someone be honest and immedietaly dismissed. I appreciate your experience of life theo and understand how difficult it can be trying to live from your heart 24/7. But we can make it less stressful by choosing to surround ourselves with genuine to the bone people. God bless brother

I knew their personalities would clash. Theo is super sensitive and flowery , and Bill is an emotionally repressed no nonsense rager haha
Spot on!!
what were you watching? This is the best interview i've seen from both guys. Everyone thinks a couple of jokes are made and suddenly, "I knew they HATED each other!" This was enlightening. I'm glad you didn't notice Bill is married to a black woman....We have to get away from sensationalism!
@@matguerra333 You seem to be overreacting buddy - I was pointing out that their personalities are chalk and cheese. No sensationalism at all. What's Billy boy being married to a black woman got to do with it??
mars girl I think he was just waiting to throw that at someone and your comment, while totally way left field from what he said, was the closest one he could find to throw it at.
Except when it comes to being in a relationship. Forget transgender, he had a DNA transplant.
I think Bill was taught vulnerability is weakness that must be repressed and eradicated by his father. Theo is humble, honest and vulnerable. I think his vulnerability stirs up something in Bill that he is still wrestling with. They are both brilliant comics.
Woman moment
P schloegl, bingo , right on the money
Couldn't have said it any better
Ironically, when you're not ever letting your guard down to just chill and vibe with someone in this setting, it just shows a hidden, deeper insecurity. It's like Bill always has to make sure he's top dog in every situation, setting and even conversation topic.
Lol it apparently had something to do with Bill’s wife and the mural in the background that depicts them (Bill and, for some reason, her) on it and she got mad over how she looked…. There’s no deep psychology going on here
If I was Theo I would not have aired this podcast. It doesn't matter how great you are, you still need to treat other people respectfully. Look at Bill, he is completely insecure, because Theo is doing so well and might actually take away some of Bill's bald headed shine. Keep shining Theo!
I wish Theo had edited out some of Bill’s awkward rudeness.
This was hard to watch.🤦🏽♀️
