Fastest Audi RS3 v RS5 v RS7: DRAG RACE

It’s time for an Audi RS showdown!
We’ve got our hands on the all-new Audi RS3 Performance & Audi RS7 Performance, and they’re facing off against an Audi RS5 Competition Plus!
So let’s see how the three compare. Starting with the RS3, it’s powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged 5 cylinder that produces 407hp (7hp more than the standard RS3, no less!) and 500Nm of torque. It weighs in at 1,560kg, and it costs around £65,000. But be warned, UK viewers - this one isn’t being released in the UK!
Alongside it we have the RS5 Competition Plus. It’s housing a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet which is good for 450hp and 600Nm of torque. As you’d expect, it’s heavier than the RS3, weighing in at 1,695kg, and it also costs more, coming in at around £85,000.
Then finally we have the Audi RS7 Performance. It’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, and this delivers 630hp and 850Nm. It’s the heaviest car here, at 2,065kg, and it’s also the most expensive, costing around £119,000.
So will it be a clean sweep for the RS7? Or could one of the other cars spring a surprise? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

    • This is BS. The soft limiter is always on as long as a gear isn’t engaged. You can be doing 300kmh and put it in neutral to try and rev it and it’ll still have the soft limiter on. So I have no idea how you got your info and why you have so many likes.

    • LOUD is a problem. Noise pollution is a problem that requires treatment. Therefore you are being limited in some way. There are rev limiters to prevent the engine from overrevving and blowing up. There are speed limiters to prevent the axles from taking damage over not being able to handle the power. There are also safety concerns over some people driving too fast on the interstate/autobahn.

  • Your videos are exciting and provide great entertainment for car enthusiasts like me. I have a small suggestion that I believe would enhance the overall experience even more. It would be fantastic if you could include the speed of the cars at the finish line during these races. Knowing the final speed would not only add an extra level of excitement but also provide valuable information and insights into the performance of each vehicle. By including this detail, viewers would have a better understanding of the acceleration and top speed capabilities of the cars being compared. It would further contribute to the objective analysis and comparison that carwow is known for. Thank you for considering my suggestion. I look forward to continuing to enjoy your content and witnessing the incredible races you put together.

  • So the Haldex system traction of RS 3 it’s quite good from all I see here . I had an A 3 2009 with Haldex system ( older one, obviously) and I had nothing to say about this system. The consumption it’s lower than the Torsen but it’s help me just when I need and it does it in a few situations in the winter .

  • The Torsen diff is excellent compared to a Haldex diff, which is not suitable for poor weather conditions. My 2019 Q5 came with a Haldex diff, while the 2015 Q5 had a Torsen diff. The Haldex diff always resulted in sliding and a loose steering feel when driving on ice and snow. Consequently, I traded in my 2019 Q5 for a GLE, which has a full-time 4Matic drive without any problematic torque split issues. I've had enough with Audi, and I don't plan to buy one again.
