Sunday Edition: Jeffrey R. Holland
On this General Conference Sunday Edition special, Boyd Matheson sits down with President Jeffrey R. Holland, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his interview with President Holland, Boyd asks him to reflect on lessons he has learned from his 30 years as a special witness of Jesus Christ to all the world. President Holland shares some of those important lessons he has learned since his childhood- and several important lessons he has learned over the last few years of his life. Finally, Boyd sits down with Camille N. Johnson, Relief Society General President, to look at the impact of women in the church, on the community and around the world. President Johnson also shares what she has learned from serving women around the world, as well as serving alongside the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
President Nelson is as great as another president. He is LOVED by all of us!!! And I listen to his messages and even over and over. I try to practice his teachings. Love him!!!!!!😊😊😊 so sorry for his trials, but know Heavenly Father is with him ❤️ 🙏
We love you President Holland. Our prayers are always with you.
Going to miss him when he is called home. This man has been so instrumental in my spiritual journey. Many great spiritual experiences with him. Spiritual Giant.
I am not a member and do not live in Utah but he is a kind man from what I have seen.
Yep they are specialist in deceived people.
I love him, he's message is always from the heart and inspiring
Elder. Holland is my absolute fave Apostle. He speaks real raw experiences and truth that connects people to him and his messages
Mr.Holland’s talk has been always an anchor in my mind, am not even member of the church.
We would LOVE to have you be a member!
President Holland I feel some times was put on the earth just at the right time for a lot of us. I really can relate to him. He has helped me more than anyone in the church. Hope someday to meet him. Here or there.
I really relate to him too.
I met him at a Stake Conference. It was a neat experience.
That will be so sweet!
President Holland is an incredible person. I had the privilege to meet him in person once. His ability to be direct in his testimony and never let his eyes off of the Savior Jesus Christ is inspiring. His 30 years of service and sacrifice has blessed the world in immeasurable ways.
I had no idea he was going through all this. My favorite Apostle, actually got a hug from him in 2004, Midland, Michigan. I told him I loved him, he said he loved me too, I believed him!! Amazing man❤❤
I love Elder Holland and President Johnson. Grateful Elder Hollands life has been preserved a little longer. President Johnson helping us know that Christ is relief is wonderful.
I am so grateful that his life was spared. He is so awesome
You've hitten the pitches thrown to you above and beyond and have hit many spiritual home runs!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints faces challenges. But that's hardly anything new. We've been facing challenges since 1830. But even with the ups and downs we have faced, I have always been impressed by the way the top leaders, including Elder Holland, continue to weather those storms.
@@cs2388 We learn from the past, instead of living in the past.
Oh, Elder Holland! How I love this man and his words of hope! His ministry helped me keep going when everything in me wanted to quit life. I listen to his conference talks and BYU devotionals regularly to be reminded of that Hope with a capital H-Hope in Christ; Hope that through Christ, all will be made right. ❤
😊It's 2:20 am, EDT. My continued prayers for President Jeffrey R. Holland & my continued love for him. Also, my thanks & gratitude for President Holland & other Brethren of the First Presidency & Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for their love & obedience to God our Eternal Father & His Holy Son Jesus Christ, our Savior!!
WE LOVE YOU ELDER HOLLAND! Please take the time to publish all of your near death experience! That would be an astonishing teaching tool for all of us to know about -- before you leave us, again... I prayed for this man to come back to Earth -- we need you, Apostle Holland to help save the world and usher in the 2nd Coming... But we understand you want to be reunited with Pat! (up to "THE GUY UPSTAIRS"...)
Thank you, President Holland!
Video of a lifetime
I love him❤
Both of these leaders are definitely chosen by Christ to SERVE his children. I love and honor them!
“A hand may be extended but the rules can’t be broken.” I definitely agree with this sentiment, but I wish the Church leaders would speak on their testimony of the rules. I think that would both help members struggling to understand why some things are so and also help the brethren root out false traditions from our practices.
I marvel he would feel inadequate when I see him as one of the pinnacles of mankind. I love how he teaches from the scriptures, but clearly has an intellect that has been sped up by the hand of the Lord. I hope you wrote down your recent experience, and I pray when the time is right that it can be shared with the world. I am seeking my own experiences, and each time I get a glimpse it is so exciting.
God bless you President Hollander. You are so loved.💕
Powerful!!! Love these great leaders!!!
I love and sustain President Holland. I’ve been blessed to know him personally for many years.

Great interview!
Thank you!
99 thanks God bless.❤
Elder Holland, you have been an example of doing whatever the Lord asks of us, However Long and Hard the Road. Thank you.
There are those in the Church that are struggling members, perhaps most of their life, are they welcome in 2024?
There’s a quote by Joseph B. Wirthlin that I think answers your question: “The church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Father in Heaven”
We are all sinners striving to be saints”
I love you President Holland ❤
I recently discovered that Apostle Ballard is my cousins...I have always felt very close to his spirit, now I know why. I am not bragging but so very grateful to know that we share that same bloodline.
Great positive news show and great to listen to servants of the Lord. Just subscribed. Thank you.
Thanks for this
The mission of hope is very powerful in this Church, perhaps more powerful than creating fear!
❤ President Holland
Truly a Trooper!
❤❤❤
For the lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob amen
MR BOYD MATHASIN........I IS/WAS OUR BI-ANNUAL YEARLY MEETING........GOOD GRIEF.........................
“Including saving the world”
3:47 You gotta cut those coughs bro. Gonna give someone a heart attack
It would take courage to be the first from the Quorum to choose to become an emeritus apostle... wouldn't be a bad decision though.
There may be around 17 million members in the records, but why not reveal the actual activity/attendance/retention rates?
Not sure it matters. What matters is the individual's choice to attend.
@@catherinefadian-lewandowsk8851 the attendance and retention rates are much more important than the total membership number to show the actual state of the church that "thinks celestial". Isn't the church using this data also to organize/reorganize wards, stakes, and build temples?
Good for the true American lady at the end who did her homework. She had always voted democratic...saw years of NO change. She then studied President Trump and learned about him, not on hateful sites either!!! She is voting NOW for President Donald Trump 2024... God Bless America!!
My comment was valid, I think you misinterpreted what I said, since Holland expressed hope for struggling members, In lieu of recent terms being thrown out into the Church culture, Mediocre Members at the Second Coming.
Ğod bile şeed El der holland
First met Jeffrey R Holland is waiting for a parcel in the whole world. I met him on my mission with him with my parents over Salt Lake City Utah. Are you a member of the (Church) Jesus Christ latter-day Saints I’ve been member of the (Church) has my life she’s out I was born. I was a peacemaker in my family that’s why I first met at President Jeffrey R Holland. I love you so much weight I gave me a hug I’ll cool him he’s my fairy Backstreet Boys woman version of the Backstreet Boys and he call me I he’s very backstreet girl. My name is is Debbie Van Asperen in Queensland, Australia, north side of Brisbane Northside in Northlakes
Does the Church own and control KSL? Talk about soft-ball questions.
Yes, the church most definitely owns and controls KSL. This interview with Elder Holland was ridiculous. He is a phony. I have seen him act like and be a very mean man. He is nice to the people that think exactly like him, but if they don’t he is not nice.
surprised he hasn’t remarried yet
What priesthood authority for women is she talking about? A single mother in a remote area (or during a pandemic) isn't allowed to bless the sacrament for her children, nor is allowed to give a priesthood blessing to her sick child in the middle of the night...
Mr. Holland needs to fast more often for his health's sake...
From the outside looking in, the comments on this board are creepy and cultish.
Hollow rhetoric... Yawn...
Te amamos tanto Pte Holland!!! El Señor te de fuerzas para todo lo que aún te necesitamos ❤❤❤❤
Pres. Holland and Pres. Oaks were the two presidents of BYU during my time there
❤❤❤
