  • Thanks for the invitation to interview! The OUTPOURING of genuine, heartfelt support has been incredibly humbling. I was told after the baptism that I'd be gaining an instant family, and that turned out to be so true on a much wider, global scale. Thank you everyone.

    • @52churchesin52weeks It's amazing being part of the family of the restored gospel. Yiu could be broken down almost anywhere in the world, look up a local congregation, and ask if there is is someone from the elders quorum that could assist you, and you will find instant kinship and love.

  • I was a convert too. Born Catholic, studied in Catholic school. I felt the difference strongly of how the holy spirit worked in me to have my testimony. The simplicity of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the strong confirmation of the Holy Spirit , the oneness and everything just made sense to me . Our very life is for God's plan for us.

Surprise, surprise that he felt the spirit from the same church I go to. It's been such a joy to follow his journey. Congratulations David. • Watching David's videos, I had not seen the hand of the Lord so clearly guiding an honest seeker of truth since serving my own mission. The promptings of wanting more, recognizing "spiritual coincidences" and the courage to act in faith. It's D&C 29:7 in action: "And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts"

  • David, when I saw your first video, I was so touched as my own mother started her faith journey in a very similar way. She was only seventeen, but she began to visit churches until one day she walked into a meeting of Latter Day Saints. She felt something different and (This was in Canada) . Because she took that leap of faith, I was born to it and I thank Heavenly Father for such a great blessing. I am now seventy-eight and I have so much gratitude for the opportunity to have found my own faith and the peace in the gospel of Jesus Christ. You have such a glow about you. You must have faith to believe and in order to keep believing you will always have to nourish it. Bless you for your desire to seek the truth and stand for it.

The cardinals appearances is a beautiful illustration of how God “speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding.” (2 Nephi 31:3) I love that God knows David enough and loves him so much to lead him to the church and the temple by cardinals. Wonderful story! And it is awesome to hear a new member read the Book of Mormon out loud. Welcome to the fold, David

I have been following him on his journey and what impressed me then was the video after visiting General Conference and comparing Lehi‘s dream to his experience outside of the building. That image stuck with me. I’m so happy that he found the church, I’m a converted former Lutheran and could never go back. ❤️

  • Dear Friend David, Watching your faith journey has been a delight. You have some very deep insights into Gospel symbolism that takes most of us years to understand. Each time you spoke about Temple Open houses, I could see you “getting” it, deeper with each new Temple visit. Your observation on the barricades at General Conference were INTERESTING! Your countenance has a joyful glow, and your smile gets brighter with each visit. I knew with your Manti visit it was just a matter of a few weeks! Congratulations, you have made one of the best choices there is on this journey through mortality!

  • Brother Boise, after General Conference you mentioned the feeling of "information overload". That is how I always feel too. Depending on how you learn and retain best, then either see the conference on-line, read or listen. I learn best by hearing, so I store the talks from several conferences on CD or a memory stick and listen while driving alone in my car. Some talks bore you after a while. But some will stand out and you will find new wisdom in them every time you see, read or listen to them. Best greetings from Denmark. I joined the Church in 1976, best thing I ever did.

The thought keeps going through my mind that the Lord speaks to every man in his own language. For him, it was symbolism, cardinals, the fruits and so on. For me, it was something quite different. But God is so great and all-knowing that he knows what David needed. He knows what I needed. He knows what all of His children need. And He is so good to give it to each of us. • I've been a member my entire life, but something I'm putting together here is that the tree of life to the hebrews is the temple. And when you said the fruit of lehis vision is the Love of God, well, what do we do in the temple? It isb100% family based. Baptism for our dead relatives for the salvation of their souls, we go to the temple, the iron rod guides us to the temple which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, to be baptized for others and be sealed for always. Amazing.

  • Congratulations! I loved this interview! Hang on to that rod! I had a similar experience, I visited all the churches in my town. I had been an Episcopalian, and had visited the LDS church. As I visited all these others I found myself comparing them all to that LDS church. When I asked my dad for permission to join, he told me I was joining the Lord’s only true church, and I had to promise him I’d never fall away. He wasn’t a member, had gained a testimony, but he felt he couldn’t quit smoking and couldn’t give all the time the church required. It’s been 54 years, and I still am so grateful for this journey. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep Christ in your daily life, hang on with both hands and seek all the joy you can grab. You are in for a wonderful ride.

  • David, welcome! We are really happy for you! It isn't easy, but it's worth it! I got converted and baptized at the age of 15 (l'm 40 now) and ever since then all big main things that I cherish in my life came as a result of my belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For me, if that is not a testament of a true church of Christ, then I don't know what is. The fruit is good.

  • I am so grateful for being raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I am always in awe of members that have the courage to move forward to be baptized in to the Chuch. There is absolute joy in learning and growing in the church. You’re going to love what you will learn in the sacred Temple promises! ❤️

  • Congratulations! I've been watching your videos almost since the beginning, and your openmindedness impressed me from the start. I'm so happy that you have started on the covenant path! I am a convert, too. My father was an Episcopal minister. My journey was a 3 year journey until baptism, but in spite of strong opposition in the beginning, the blessings FAR outweighed the hardships! This July will make 52 years since I was converted. Hang in there brother! The Church is true!

  • David. As one who watched you journey the past two years, I kept wondering if this path would lead to baptism. I am thrilled for you! Welcome to a wonderfully small and close world. Wherever you go you will have a friend.

  • Hi David!! It's me Annie!! I don't know if you remember me. You should!! I have followed your journey and It's been great!! I never quit encouraging you to keep following the Cardinals. I am so happy for you. Having been born and raised in California and having lived in Idaho with my husband of almost 41years, I have never actually seen a Cardinal. Pictures yes, live no. I was always told we had Blue Jay's in California but never saw one until long after I was married at a family reunion in Southern Utah at my husband's uncles house. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Cardinals are beautiful too. One day I am sure I will see a Cardinal, a real live one and not just a picture. 😊😊 welcome to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Welcome home. 😊😊😊

    • I am sure the artist that painted the cardinal in the garden room of the Manti temple so many years ago was inspired to paint it just for David’s benefit. David is a great influence on many people all over the world.

  • To David: I've been to those Temples! We went and visited the Bentonville one as it was being built. They had a little visitors center in the parking lot of the church next to the construction site. I had such a powerful feeling visiting there. And I grew up in the church! Anyway, we lived in Utah for a year several years back, and the St. George Temple was our temple at the time. I loved it. We have also visited the Manti one, back when live Endowment sessions were still being done there. It was very cool. My grandparents were married there in Manti, and some of my ancestors helped build both of those Temples. ❤ Thanks for being candid and sharing your story! I will be honest and admit I've been rooting for you to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a long time, so when I saw this in my news feed, I was so excited! I was telling my kids, and they were excited too! 😂 Welcome, brother!!

  • I loved David’s story. I listened to many of his visits to different churches. In my heart I knew he would eventually know in his heart which church was truly the church of Jesus Christ that had been restored in these latter days! Congratulations! You have made the right decision! Don’t let the nay sayers change your mind! Keep the faith! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will always be there for you!❤

  • I love the connection with cardinals! It reminds me of the scene in the first episode of The Chosen, when Mary Magdalene saw a dove flying over just as she was about to leap from a cliff. She followed it until she came to the place she met Jesus

  • My mom's family searched so many churches, too! My mom grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. She and her family tried out every church there, even the RLDS. When my mom discovered the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it was unlike anything they had experienced before. They said it felt more complete, more whole. My mom and her entire family ended up getting baptized, and they remained true for the rest of their lives. ❤ I love this gospel so much!! The Book of Mormon IS, without any doubt, additional scripture that helps anchor me in my faith in the Bible and that God still speaks today. I loved seeing Rebecca Devonas do this interview because I love her "In the Book" podcast (flooding the earth with testimonies of the Book of Mormon). I've been anxious for more episodes, and so I love her doing this interview!🥰

  • Brother Boice has been helping to bring people to Jesus Christ and gather Israel for years now! Truly a valiant spirit heeding the promptings of our Heavenly Father. So happy to have you in the fold brother, and wish you all the peace and happiness that only comes through Christ and through yoking ourselves to Him in covenant.

  • I love this guy. David has done so much to increase spiritual literacy in the world. Even though he's now a finder instead of a seeker he is inspiring me to 'holy envy' of the good in other faiths.
