Usman talks about "retiring at the top of the game." Khabib did it, with no talking about it. I have it a few times BEFORE he was KOed, that if he truly believed in retiring at the top of the game, he should immediately have retired when he last beat Masvidal, and being only 34 plus. Now, with 3-4 bigger, taller, younger, faster, and hungrier guys arriving a their very prime and at the Top 5, lead by Leon, followed by Khamzat, Sean Brady, Shavkat... it is not possible for Usman to do a GSP type win streak, as Usman pushes into his 36th year, next year, when the Leon-Usman III commences... Leon would be even more prime, more confident, and more tactical. In this second fight, even a BADLY GASSED Leon was able to get up from almost all of the take-downs the strong elite wrestler Usman did. At sea level in London, Leon wouldn't have oxygen deprivation issues, so if Usman failed to hurt Leon in Utah, where Usman multi-year training with high altitude in Colorado helped him.... the probability of him out maneuvering Leon worse in their 3rd fight... is not going to be as good... Further, in London, the guy across from Usman in the octagon would be THE champ, not an unsure challenger (as Leon was in their 2nd matchup) who had never fought at the elite level before, much less having fought a championship fight.

I picked Leon to win that fight maybe not in the manner in which he won but I picked him and I've never really been a big fan of Usman because of his flashy Hollywood ego he seemed to be extremely conceited but with all that said everyone's acting like Usman's finished and his career is over and I don't feel like that's the case I think he can beat anybody in his weight class at any time so we will see how he bounces back
I think people forget the nature of MMA. Like Khabib said, one missed punch, one mistake in your defense and it can be lights out. People who think he is finished are acting like Kamaru was having his ass handed to him the entire time when that was not the case. We have to look at the content of the fight to assume what his future is going to be like as opposed to saying, "well he lost, now it's over".
