  • Do NOT abandon birds, specially parrots. They are way too emotional over their bonds and abandoning them may scar them for life.

    • @g h So you're just going to assume the bird was abandoned? lol The majority of budgie owners don't put bands on their legs. I'm so confused as to how other people abandoning their animals, automatically means this budgie was abandoned.

    • Modern people are so brainless, silly nature loves who do more damage than good. Okay you concerned paras**es.... the bird got out of his original home, not abandoned. Just abandoned on the title like it was a sort of rescue from a person who was an a-hole and just left his bird out to be lost.. what you should of done is look into it to see if someone was missing the bird so you can confirm if this bird was abandoned or severely lost. this made me sick, the music, the whole joyful rainbow stuff... the little animations showing the animals making little sounds... next thing you know they will have deers and bears playing together and some half witted bubbly person with a blank look talking to the camera of how amazing this garbage is. ... perfect example... you lost the poor bird and imagine someone found it and said your bird was simply abandoned by you.... like animals at the pound called rescues because the person violated a by law and bam... a rescue.... or like when my budgie got out by a stupid mistake and someone probably found her and said.... i found an abandoned bird. someone will look at my comment and be like what a facsist, sexxist, hatefull, ahole.. hahahahahahahaha

I adopted my birb, but if he had had one I would've had it removed right away. there are whole networks online of bird people who help other bird people get their birds back, because they escape just like other pets, but with birds no one else cares. She should've tried posting on bird groups. She said, "well he didn't have a band" as though that means someone abandoned him and that is NOT what that means. a lil guy that friendly was in a very happy household. still relieved she saved him and he's being well cared for again

I was already running late for my bus to work but I couldn't just leave it there. So I grabbed the bird ran home and thrust it into my Dad's hands with "it's a budgie" before running from the house again. Lord knows what he must have thought at the moment but he wrapped the budgie in a cloth and let it warm slowly by the coal fire we had at the time. The bird got named Shell, since it was found next to the Shell Petrol station, and ended up with us for seven years until it died

My mother is a prime example of that and she cried for days after it happened. She literally sat outside with a cage and bird food waiting for them to come back but they never did. So this is a warning to bird parents please please please please be extra cautious with them close windows and doors when they are out of the cage

    • When we bought our Amazon parrot from a pet shop 34 years ago, it had a leg band because it had been brought into the country (USA) under quarantine. We brought our bird to an avian vet who removed the leg band. We have had many other birds but none of them ever had a leg band. Incidentally, our Amazon is doing fine. The average life expectancy is 45 years so it is a very long time commitment.

  • They are great companions. Once my wife and I almost run over a parakeet that flew in front of our car as night was approaching in San Francisco winter, he looked like the one on the video. We stopped and my wife got off the car to only to have the parakeet jump on to her finger!! We took him home and drove around the next day to see if anybody had put up any notices of a missing parakeet; he must've wonder away from his home, he spoke something that sounded like Japanese and Italian! We had a 14 year old Maine Coon cat that could never accept other cat, as hard as we tried, but slowly we introduced the parakeet to our cat and they became best friends and shared great moments together. We named the parakeet Lucky and he had such a huge personality - just wonderful. Both passed away some years ago - we missed them.

He already brought two wild birds home which he didn't injure to actually penetrate them with this bite, but plucking feathers and treating it like a toy. No consideration whatsoever. It's an instinct thing. If any cat is able to accept it's natural food source as a friend, thats rly lucky.
