2024 The Bentley GT Fastback.
Doug is too bougie for a Bentley
I guess you be surprised to see another W12 or V12 in Bentley lineup in coming few years. Trust me they be going back to working on it very soon.
So is this some special high trim of the new Dodge Charger?
Can’t wait to buy this in 10 years for 25k
You will have to be content to just look at it as it probably will be banned from the road by then !
Then spend another 25k on upkeep
Do you drive a 2014 bentley?
Or another 10 years for 0K
That's Maserati. This will be worth at least $27K
I generally like gauge cluster screens, but in a Bentley I want the supremely crafted analog gauges that look like a fine timepiece. A screen is just, a screen.
I wonder what it costs to replace the screen if it breaks. The part cost for the Lexus is 4500 dollars plus installation.
@@philippschneidenbachCost cutting at it's best, i see.
I agree, it's a Bentley, not a Jetta or a Golf, it deserves proper analog gages.
@embiggens1: Well said.
@@creato938 Another reason to keep my w221 which is just insane value. And performance.
Crazy how dark green is now "flamboyant"
I thought this too.
There's nothing flamboyant about British Racing Green. The only thing flamboyant was Doug's shorts.
forgive me, but seems Doug is the kinda guy to have strong opinions on subtle things.
@@cobracommander9138how are dark blue shorts flamboyant?
@@shoobadoo123 they like a foot past his knees and like an inch below his nutz 🤣
Did he really say OVERBUTTONED!!!! We keep saying we want buttons, Bentley gets it right, and here Doug is yip yapping along.
British racing green, but not a tan leather interior? It's the classic combo!
tan leather sucks with green, white alabester fit so much better
They made a lot of glaringly stupid mistakes. The aluminum reminds me of a truck stop. The cruise control should be on the steering wheel under the right thumb. I'd not buy that car for that reason alone. The same for Porsche. Sad that Volkswagen M&A is their priority, and sad that Bentley and Porsche sold out to them. Two long traditions gone for a handful of stock options.
That's not British Racing Green, even though they say so. BRG is more greener and darker.
Tan leather ages horribly. White interior even worse.
The black(ish) interior really let's this car down.
The ability to get rid of the screen should be in every car.
Has been my wish from the start. I keep wondering who will be the first. OK, second.
Even also to TVR Griffith?
… couldn’t you just turn off the screen? Or just have the default background mimic the trim would probably be cooler.
Tesla left the chat
Tesla left the chat
gotta disagree with doug on his point of the British racing green color. There’s definitely going to be at least 10-20 people that order this car with some variation of the racing green, with a brown interior chasing that gentlemans spec 😂
If it was a true BRG, green so dark it's almost black, it'll be the color to have along with a tan or brown interior.
@@bwofficial1776 I wouldn't say BRG is necessarily that dark, although it's not really even a very specific shade. In my opinion, however, it should be a bit darker and shifted more towards blue than this green.
@@bwofficial1776yes yes yes! BRG over tan is THE colour for any expensive British car
Yes I know it's German...
TVR CERBERA SPEED 12 also ever painted with that colour,@@bwofficial1776
Thank you, Bentley for allowing the screen to be hidden when not in use. The infotainment technology is the one thing that REALLY dates cars as they age so being able to hide the display and clean up the dashboard is just so smart.
One way to maintain its value.
Yup..and some prefer that classic look.
If you do software updates, this is a way to keep screen up to date.
Doug is the type of guy to roll around in his chair like a doctor in a car review
U gonna buy me door dash
😂😂
I wish Demuro also reviewed X2010 5G car.
The dark green on the car is absolutely amazing
Really? I think it’s incredibly ugly in this colour.
this is called "destroyed russian buhanka" color (you can gugle images for this to understand)
They say there are 40 shades of green. This must be the worst shade of them all. This is the worst attempt at B.R.G. i have ever seen.
Would be better if it was matte. Doesn't doesn't work
@@vonder7I couldn’t agree more
06:06 surprised to hear that Doug doesn't know about British Racing Green. That's a staple within the British automotive world. Not just Bentley.
He's young.
@@chichibud31 yeah but he's a car nut
@@LarsAgerbk obviously not that much of a car nut.
You can only know so much, and not knowing the history of one specific color is pretty expectable. Also makes sense since Doug implied he didnt really like the green here, so he wouldnt have ever had a reason to look into the color himself.
Doesn't mean he knows history
I love that there are buttons it looks intuitive and im sick of the oversimplification that isn't simple
The tooled aluminum dash trim is called “engine turning” and is used to make a connection with classic cars of the 1930s.
Aircraft, too.
Watchmakers decorate their movements with that finishing too.
Massage seats? You mean- 'the' subscription? 😂
Looks like a café table
In watches is called perlage.@@tobias_dahlberg
The brakes are a really good demonstration of how cars have overall got bigger. The turbo R of the 90's had smaller wheels than these discs.
@@bryangillis1839yeah, back in the day my BMW 330d came with bigger disks than the M3 had. Heavy diesel engine.
actually no
The size of the Flying Spur hasn't changed significantly since its launch in 2006. However, more safety and luxury features have been added over the years, together with the introduction of the ZF 8 speed automatic transmission (in the first generation it was a 6 speed), which meant that the weight of the car increased, and as a result, more power was added to the engine. With more weight and more power you're going to need larger brakes to stop the car more effectively.
@@bryangillis1839EVs can brake VERY efficiently and quickly with electric motors, they won't need bigger brakes
Bigger brakes don’t necessarily have stronger clamping power to stop quicker. Brakes are bigger because they dissipate heat better than smaller brakes during repeated high speed braking. That’s why small sports cars like my GT3 have bigger brakes. Nothing to do with weight or the need to stop faster once. Just heat management during repetitive braking.
Honestly, when I think of British performance cars, I think of them in British Racing Green. Like old Jaguars for example. I think the Green will sell better than most think.
Yep, I have a 1966 Ford Cortina GT with Lotus leather interior in white with British racing green stripe. The stripe is the only thing aftermarket on the car, but boy does it make the whole package perfect. British racing green FTW
Sadly the people who buy these cars are not enthusiasts, so I doubt the colour will sell well.
@@Shwnm1490This is the W12 though. The racing spec. Anyone who cares enough to get one should know about the Racing Green color and it’s history.
@@israeldelarosa5461 But that's the thing, most (not all) people who afford this cars don't care or don't even know the racing pedigree.
The same engine was in the VW Phaeton W12 in 2004. I owned one -- it was awesome!
I've been looking out for Phaetons. I've seen at least 12 over the years. 10 of then were V8s, one in South Korea I spotted had a weird 3.0L V6, but only seen one W12. Truly special
Are you the guy that loaned Doug one for that review?
@@heywoodjablome5380 I was not.
he Pheaton was a great car I just think people could not get past the Volkswagen badge. A shame but they more than made up for it here!
I had a phaeton. It was a v10 twin turbo diesel!! almost as rare as the w12. A cut price Bentley. It had masses of torque
I absolutely adore this car. There’s nothing more elegant than a large sedan.
When I was in automotive school once of the classes had a W12 on an engine stand partially disassembled, and this was back when it was still fairly new. Was really a neat thing to look at at the time.
Mesmerizing just watching it run.
@@krane15is the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 also supported W12 engine?
Nice
8:36 So I get that there are a lot of buttons...but I love it. All in the Center console area too by the gear selector...YES. I would love if every manufacturer would adopt this sort of button arrangement for climate controls. It leaves so much more space up top for screen functions or storage space.
The flip up screen has always been a favorite feature of these cars…reminds me of the Audi mmi ones in the s8 for the mid 2010s. I love the ability to make technology go away when I don’t want to see it.
I feel like there is going to be a big crash in the automotive industry with car companies trying to go completely electric and everyone going to refuse to buy them and opt for older gas models.
Can't wait to see hoovie bring one to wizard's garage in 10yrs and wizard saying "get that thing outta here I'm not touching it"
Probably need the Car Wizard's (theoretical future) nephew to work out all the electronics on this thing.
There is a reason for the "door light" projecting onto the ground when the door is opened. They are called "puddle lamps" They are to indicate where to step and what to avoid.
This is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve seen. It’s the first Bentley I really liked inside and out and that color should be ordered by buyers, it’s aggressive and also classy. Absolutely love it. Would love to see it in a medium/dark red or blue with the black accents. Well done to Bentley, an amazing last call for the W12
😮💨 in an era of crazy body lines on cars, the smooth look of this car brings back early 2000’s vibes. 👌🏼
It looks like a modern car from an alternate timeline where car manufacturers didnt start smoking crack in the early 2010s design processes.
Hey Doug, we all love your reviews and we appreciate you greatly! Thank you for not opening up with any advertisement. Appreciate you, sir.
Hear, hear.
I've never experienced a newer Benltey but I did have a VW Phaeton some years ago and even more so I did get to drive a Mercedes CL65 AMG with the twin turbo V12 so I can sort of relate to the acceleration, it's like having an infinite rubberband in front of the car just pulling you along and since the cars is so quiet and stable you don't really experience how fast it is compared to other cars
I LOVE all the buttons and switches! I’ll take them any day over screen-only controls. Aside from this color, this car is gorgeous.
I literally want to cry. All the great engines are going away

Bentley's always my fav, all I owned were British Racing Green, the most iconic color on Bentley's history in my honest opinion. Tan, brown or creamy interiors made my fleet too. Current a happy owner of the one and only CGT W12 in this color here in Brazil, such a pleasure in a country full of beauty and car enthusiasts. I wanna point out that I'm always trying to help and empower my community, looking further to participate and contribute in a non stop growing effect in my nation. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Fantastic review, I forgot about this car, I'm in love with the style, proportions, and colour, but I'd get the "regular" Flying Spur. I remember when they were new, I loved the understated style.
This is hands down one of the most beautiful cars I have ever laid eyes on, truly stunning
Drving a 12 cylinder is A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE. Drove Audi A8 back in 2012 W12.
10 years later this car will be featured in every "Top 10 cheap cars that will make you look rich" video
@Doug DeMuro: Saw a couple of these on the Interstate. Thanks a bunch for this one. Also, Koenigsegg AB 5.0L V8s are my favourite engine ever made. They smoke W12s hard. Even a good amount of V12s too.
Awesome. Love reviews of these kind of special cars
All these companies saying "we will be all electric by 2030" are going to live to regret their decision. They don't understand the tastes of their buyers, nor the limitations of the format at this stage.
Absolutely true! And that political lie is slowly beginning to crumble, with Germany, followed by Italy and potentially by France in the renonciation to stop ICEs for 2035. Watch out! E-fuels (Porsche engineered) might be the answer to EV totalitarianism... 😂
100% agree
Exactly. Ask the Germans and the Italians why they are already (in 2024!!!) backing out of these (sh*ty) political decisions... My greatings to you all eco-terrorists of the European Parliament 😉👍
And you do not understand that brands try to surf the politician, regulation tsunami with these strategies to escape drowning. We have to start blaming POLITICIANS, voters and policymakers and not manufacturers
@@comeberza You can blame both. Manufacturers don't have to be so eager to be part of the virtue-signalling future.
13:33 doug: textured diamond pattern The world: knurling

ACKSHUALLY 🤓👆
Saw one of these ‘in the flesh’ the other day. Gorgeous! Doug - the brushed pattern on the dash is called ‘machine turned.’
Gorgous car and I think the BRG option will be relatively popular, since its the traditional Bentley colour! Take a look at a Bentley Blower for example! BGR, Dark Leather, "Turned" Aluminium dash (NOT BRUSHED!), its the ultimate classic combo! Would be nice with Dark Green leather, like Bentleys of old!
We'll see about Bentley going fully electric in 2030 given the current status of the EV market. I know this video was likely recorded months in advance, but my point still stands. Although, I can see Bentley having an EV for the same reason Rolls Royce has one and that's because Bentley is also a high-end luxury brand. However, Bentley is also known for being Rolls Royce's more sporty competition in addition to being really luxurious. I also really love the spec of the Flying Spur you reviewed here. I'm a sucker for green cars with bronze/gold trim pieces. I would also have the same exact interior as this press car funnily enough. I think it's a very classy spec, while also being sporty at the same time. I'd buy this example in a heartbeat. xD
I don't have $300,000 but if I did I would be PISSED my Bentley has a screen for a speedometer. I'd probably want a rolex, not an iPad.
Yeah, the instrument cluster should absolutely be crafted in collaboration with someone like Rolex... The gauge dials should look like beautiful watch faces. It doesn't even have real leather seats either! For that price I'd demand leather. We aren't killing animals just for their hides (you know, they are made of meat after all), so to use "environmentally friendly" as a reason for fake leather is inexcusable in a car of that class. If anything leather IS green, why throw it away if it can be turned into a useable material.
Historically it would have been Breitling but their partnership ended when CVC Capital Partners gained majority shareholder.
@@volvo09 who cares where it comes from? The materials clearly feel upscale and comfy. If it feels the way that it should, I can give it a pass. Whether they source it from an animal or not doesn't matter.
I love watching these luxury VAG car reviews and seeing bits of my little old Golf in a $300K Bentley.
For all these luxury cars owned by major brands, I always like seeing all the components shared with cars costing one tenth the price. Screens, doors, seats, sun shade, door handles dash, controls are all just adapted VAG items. And vinyl seats too!
Sad time in history to see this happening. I hope one day car manufacturers realize electrification is not the answer.
They already did. Germans are backing out of the "2035 eco-terrorism deal". It's real. It won't work. RIP EVs 😂
I love the way you explain every detail the car you’re a wonderful person. I explain every detail aspect you can see you have a love for the Bentley and love for this type of car. Amazing amazing Bentley has picked someone to express their love and expressed the details would Bentley quality stands for unique, elegance, grace and powerful great job, Bentley 👑
I got to drive a w12 convertible with a mulliner package, sport mode in that car made my entire time in the parking industry worth it haha
No way I’d buy a Bentley with fake leather 😂
If a herd of cattle didn’t die for your interior, is it really luxury?
If the leather is from cattle is it really luxury?
Hey doug, there is a button on the side of the chair where the seat controls are to turn on the massage seats, once pressed the massage menu shows up on the center display!
“….this sort of Woof…like you’re being pushed around from all sides!!” Another “Dougieism” that entirely explains the feeling of the drive! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!!❤❤❤👍🏽
Ever wonder why pro athletes and rappers go broke? Because they invest in things like Bentleys. Park $300k in this car and watch it depreciate each year. Then factor in insurance, upkeep, and inflation.
The fact that even Bentley doesn't offer a leather interior is even more disgusting than sitting in another animals skin.
If i pay 300k for a car, i expect that at least 7 cows have died to make the seats
They do offer leather. What is that guy talking about?
Any car with a W12 is going to be a future classic. Mark my words. Even the Pheatons and A8s.
7:22 its called 'machine turning' Doug 🤣🤣
Conversation last night with wife, no joke my 996.2 I keeping planning out is either a emerald green or British racing green with the dark natural brown supple leather. I am a fan of a dark green / dark brown keather combo and it's definitely not a popular setup.. ahh here is today's video.. British racing green? Really doug has some followers and now this color will be "a thing".. thanks doug
The massage should be directly available via the lower small button on the side of the front seats where you adjust the position.
That triple-faced spinny dash-o-matic panel is pretty rad!
I've seen one in the parking lot of a grocery store in Ft. Lauderdale. And yes, it has a commanding presence and turned heads.
Doug…This what I want for Christmas 😂
Please review INEOS Grenadier, just saw it in parking garage at airport and had no idea what it was , looked amazing.
IIRC there is a button where the seat controls are can bring up the massaging seats menu when pressed.
I'd never quite realized before how the "metal circle things" (Metal turning) on the dashboard of mid 1970's Pontiac Trans Am's and American Motors Gremlin X's were a sure sign of luxury.
Everything has to end at some point and that's a heck of a way to go out. Love the Flying Spur - the epitome of subtle fast luxury. I'll take one in "Regal Night" black.
Doug is the type of guy to ask his doctor to give him a health score but in a Doug score layout…..
Never thought i'd like the look of a bentley, but thats an attractive car - that's a great green color too, whatchu talkin bout Doug.. See like 1000 chargers with a similar color
The most quirkiest thing on every Bentley is their logo: The left wing has 10 feathers, and the right wing has 11. This was done at the beginning of Bentley to distinguish fake spare parts from original ones. You can even see it in the lights that shine on the road when opening the door...
Oh wow, interesting
Hey, Doug. Love your channel. However, in this particular review it’s not entirely true that the massage function is only accessible through the infotainment system. Rather, it’s easily accessible on both driver and passenger seats. It’s a small round knob right below lumbar support knob on the front seats. Same knob is on the rear doors. You mentioned all of the buttons except these for some reason. Otherwise, your review is excellent as usual.
I had that same rainbow tape on my 1977 Pontiac T/A. 😊
It's something about that rear bumper n tailights 😍
I will always appreciate automakers who retain the analogue ecosystem in the cars they produce. I am not a fan of everything being accessed through a single touchscreen interface. I like to see individual buttons that can be physically pressed and easy to access.
It’s such a beautiful color too. I always said I will get a jaguar or a Bentley in British racing green
If it’s like Audi and Porsche, there’s likely a button in the middle of the lumbar adjustment that will activate the massage and bring up the screen to choose the program you want
I wonder if Doug checked out the pass through from trunk to passager space. I would bet that there is a large pouch/sack connected to it which will protect the interior, but allowed the skis to go in. BMW X3 from 2007 had it, so Bentley from 2024 should too.
The climat control aluminium switch are literary golf balls stand once you detached them
I hardly consider British racing green to be flamboyant. It may not be what you typically see on a luxury sedan, but I think it looks great on this Bentley
That " brushed" "half cirlce " design on the dash is called " perlage" its used in high end watch making on the movements.
There is a button for massage on the driver /passenger seat, which is helpful too!
Saw a continental speed edition not too long ago. I thought a cool quirk was getting a model version of your car which I figured Doug would point out?
In a Bentley, Doug's diction changes: 14:55 "what you have is sufficient" instead of ...'enough' 6:35 ...'gauche' becomes 'cool' at 15:30 😁 By the way, that textured diamond pattern on the signal stalk at 13:33 and 14:11 is known as knurling. Good stuff though Doug, ol'chap 😏
Great video Jesse! I do have a question. These tesla calls you look at in the money options and gains. With paypal youre looking at out of the money gains. My question is: why this difference?
Can you put the picture of the other model wheels that you're talking about for comparison in the videos? i was kinda just sat here wondering what the other ones look like
I love these new Bentleys. The flying Spurs and the GT models.
The Bentley this is one of the last of the Bentleys of this collection. The British green is absolutely just stunning and beautiful in real life in an amazing green Bentley. The speed bit me is one of a kind is gonna be collectors in time it’s timeless it’s elegant. It’s scrape. It’s just grab it while you can because these are knocking exist anymore. Especially these engine type is the last one of the year I believe correct but it’s amazing. Congratulations Bentley for something so beautiful exquisite executed the perfect color combination for exterior and exterior one of my favorites of all time of your business but all your Bentleys are my favorites. 👑💯
9:50 woah woah woah, give me 2 presses to physically control the fan or temp, that is not a problem. I'll that that and the buttons over screen adjustment ALL DAY LONG!
The pass-through in the rear center seat should have a bag that keeps your skis from touching the leather I know the Audi A8 does
Its really shoe horned into the engine bay. Shame the V12 is going to be replaced by electric. But I love the bidet on the rear to keep the rear eye clean I had a Daimler V12 and that was squashed under the bonnet too. Its not easy changing the spark plugs.
Urinals at machining plant were made of this exact aluminium trim. They were English pub style. And this material was all over the wall in from of your eyes.
Gorgeous car. If only the interior was tan/brown it’d be the perfect spec.
Smart move with the chair. Saves the 'ol knees
Dougs a young man. I hate to see him 10 years from now.
ah yes love bentleys thanks doug😍
“They call it ‘British Racing Green’” …everyone calls it British Racing Green. It is arguably the most famous and most recognizable color in automotive history (outside of Rosso Corsa)
There is a massage on/off button right next to the seat adjuster buttons on the side of the seat.
British Racing Green over black is a really nice spec for such a special car.
Love the spec❤
I don't know if they are available in the US, but in Europe i have a seen a couple of those on sale with the 6-cylinder Hybrid probably from the Q7 TFSI-e or Cayenne Hybrid, a bit sad, but let's be real - the customers of these type of cars probably dont care what is under the hood.
Great colour!!!
Why is this beautiful car in my favorite color not washed before this review??? As a clean car kinda person it's the first thing I saw but it's BEAUTIFUL😊😊
So sad to see W12 go away. The W12 power train made them so unique. The only car that I can think of with a "W" engine that was "affordable" was the Volkswagen Phaeton with a W8. That interior looks so comfortable I'd be afraid I would fall asleep driving it!
The merging of two 4-cyclinders. I've only seen it once in a Passat. It was weak though @270hp. Nowadays VW gets 320hp from a single 4-cyclinder.
