I love this song because of what it signify’s. It might be talking about a boy who was taken from his lover and always saying that he would come back out of his love for her, but to me it means so much more. My friend Gibson Bradley passed away from a car crash in December of 2020 and I feel like this song is me saying that I will see him one day again. He was just 13 years old. May he forever Rest In Peace. ❤️

i had a best friend for like 5 years, we had known each other since highschool. and because of the romantic feeling that i had felt for him, everything had started to change. he didn't feel the same way so i asked for a short span of time to get rid of my feelings so we could go back to how we were originally. but as they say: once you love a friend more than how you are supposed to, you will never see that person as a friend anymore. i couldn't afford to lose him as a friend. i have mourned over the loss of our friendship more than the romantic feeling i had felt for him. so i added him back on facebook to give him clues that i want him back even just a friend. but until now, we're still not talking. i feel like there's this wall between us now. i feel like we lose each other and that we're totally drifting apart. i still long for the time we will finally be friends again. coming back as friends, just like how this song goes.
