Does the camera brakes if I directly jump the update from 1.01 directly to 3.00? Or can be reset or something else by Windows PC / Mac?
I’m not 100% sure if it will break or not, each person has been having different outcomes from the update, I updated without any issues, but some have had different outcomes, so if you think you don’t need to update you don’t need to

Good , I updated my Sony A1 to firmware 2.0 and it gave me a lot of problems. I just updated to the new version 2.1 and the problems are still the same. Do you have a solution? One of the main ones is that I don't have a connection to the mobile and I can't use anything from creators. Thank you.

great tutorial, bro i'm going to the update for one reason, i hope this update solve the heating proplem The camera gets hot very quickly, and the weather here in UAE is Really tough. I am struggling here

Hi, I use two SD Cards for my Sony A7iv. How to switch between the two SD cards to view my photos and videos on my A7iv? I can only view one SD card at a time. Thanks.
Go to Meadia for in the menu, then Rec. Media Settings, then turn Auto Switching on, hope that helps
@@AndreMorganPhotography “Auto Switching On” is already turned ON. My problem is I cannot switch SD cards to view my photos and videos on my camera. If I shoot videos I won’t be able to view my photos only videos. If I shoot photos I wont be able to view my videos. I set SD card 1 for videos and SD card 2 for photos. Thanks for replying.
@louinekay oh, for that you don’t need to do anything, you should be able to just view your videos right away, seems like there’s something else going on with your camera, have you tried doing a factory reset?

@@AndreMorganPhotography I’m sorry to hear that. I have no problems viewing my videos and photos. It’s just that I wont be able to switch SD cards to view my photos and videos. I use two SD cards, Slot 1 for my videos and Slot 2 for my photos.
How is the update and the APP working after a few weeks?
Actually, everything works perfectly, none complains yet, I done 4 engagement shoots, and about 4 weddings so far, and it’s pretty good, actually just finished doing a video of a product I’m going to review soon, look out for that one shortly 😊
after doing the tutorial users will notice,,, nothing has been added to the camera! Sony should have added the new menu layout at least
Yeah the upgrade wasn’t significant at all, main thing I think was for the new Creators App, my camera still works fine, so I really haven’t dive deep into what has changed
The new firmware disables battery status for 3rd party batteries. So it's more of a downgrade than an upgrade for me.
@WEDDINGSBYDARRENDDMP I guess Sony is trying to prevent none Sony batteries to be used in there cameras for whatever reasons. In that sense it can be considered a downgrade, and for me that’s a no go, because I should be able to use third party products if I’m on a budget.
So we did this update and now we can no longer shot in PAL mode and we are based in Europe... is there a possibility to fix this?

I desperately need some help 😩 I have a Sony A74 on 1.10. I can’t get it to update to 3.01 for the life of me. I’ve tried downloading 1.05 cause everyone keeps telling me that’s the solution but the camera just says that it’s the wrong update file. When I try to download 3.01 and update it, it just says it can’t find it or the file is damaged. I’ve exhausted my options here. I even factory reset the camera and no dice.
Downloading the 1.05 wouldn’t work at all, because you’d be going backwards, try and download a lower version that 3.01 and see if that works, like 2.01

Its easier to just plug your phone into the camera and start the update in the app. Will diwnload, copy, and apply the update with minimal input.
Having different opinions is good, but personally, I like the idea of the SD card, just copy, paste and update like in the video I made.
Can i upgrade directly from 1.10 to 3.00?
Yes you can because to minimum is ver. 1.05
Does any a7iv User of FW3 has the issue, that the program selection wheel is “shifted”? E g When I set “A”I get “M” Pretty weird

Sure is, I have no issues so for, Sony is a good brand, not perfect, but a good grand nonetheless.
First, Great video and explanation and great use of the Pocket 3 🔥 I don’t think he bashing Sony I think he means this update in general. Plus with this update they get rid of the ability to see your battery percentage with 3rd party batteries. Plus they definitely could have given us something more impactful as an update. I am curious what update would you have liked to see from Sony with the next update?
