  • Thanks for putting this information together in a concise, real-world, no frills way. First new camera in 13 years and was a little ticked with A7IV kept focusing on wrong subject. Obviously USER ERROR and your vid helped me to see EXACTLY how to get the focus I need in every situation. You da focus man!

  • Awesome video. I'm coming from 10 years of Nikon so I knew it would take a second to get used to the new Sony camera.   • Very useful video! I've been looking for the main differences between the current Eye AF systems and this helped a lot in understanding the Sony part of the comparison. One question that wasn't explicitly mentioned in the video: you say around 7:35 that the tracking will turn on Eye AF as soon as it recognises a person, but does it do the same thing with animals and birds? Or do you need to be in the other AF Modes for that? Thank you for your reply!

  • HI Sohil, greet ins from Peru I like all your videos and the way you show them adding your personality, I just move from Sony A7 III to A7 IV and I couldn't find the view on screen the configuration of the ISO, and aperture set up in Bar mode in there lowest part of the screen as a video mode which help me lot in the previous model, it really help me because I have watching limitations, thank you for your help😀

  • Well explained. I've subscribed. It is well explained I've also got Information with Mark Galer, Gemini, Gary Friedman and others. What I've found it can take me awhile before the penny drops So Ive been following Sony users. This does not stop me following other people with other camera brands as most things can be done with any camera. Cheers

  • Very clear video, thanks. As you do, I often use the tracking mode but with the large mode with face/eye detection. But sometimes the focus is not on where I want to. A solution could be using flexible spot, but using flexible spot and joystick is not easy/quick for me. My question is: When in tracking / large or zone mode on the A7 IV, is it possible to select and maintain a programmed button to get the focus at the center of the frame while keeping the tracking ? (This is possible on Nikon Z6 with the lastest software, this is also possible on the Sony A7 III by progamming a button with the object definition function) But on A7 IV, I only succeeded to program a button that enables to revert from tracking/large mode to standard focus. Unfortunately the standard mode focuses at the center of the frame ,as I want , but only in AFS but not in AFC tracking mode. Thanks for any suggestions.

    • @@SohilPandya1 I have only had my A7RV for a couple of weeks, but I absolutely LOVE what I have gotten from it so far. It appears that the major differences between it and the A7RIV are video-related, especially with 8K, and with the articulating screen. As far as the settings go, it appears that there are very few differences. Focus Stacking appears to be the only major difference. I haven't tried it yet, but hope to soon, especially with Moon shots. I haven't tried anything with video yet. I doubt if I'll use 8K very much, but we'll see. I'm an amateur wildlife photographer, and I think this new rig will certainly help. Time will tell. Thank you again! Subscribing to your channel now!

    • @@SohilPandya1 With my Canon 90D, I used the Canon 100-400 Series II and the Sigma 60-600. The Canon is actually a better quality lens, but of course it doesn't have the reach. I have been very happy with the Sigma. When I bought the A7RV, I bought the Sony FE 100-400 with the Sony 2x adapter. I think the lens is great, but haven't had success so far using the doubler. I didn't, however, have the necessary arca-swiss adapter to set the Sony lens onto my tripod. I have one now, but haven't tried that combo yet. I also broke down and bought a Sigma MC-11 adapter for Canon to Sony mounting. It works PERFECTLY with my Sigma 60-600. It's a heavy rig, but I am getting some WONDERFUL shots!!
