Interestingly, this is the issue I had with season 7. So much interesting stuff was done so fast that practically the entire second half of the season was a drag with little going on. The head games happened about a month into season 7, followed by the mayoral race about a month later, two large server-scale competitions. Mind you, we're barely what, two weeks into season 8?
