22:09-23:11 The moments where one dynasty was ending and another was beginning. All right in front of us. Tebow crying on the sideline, Alabama players celebrating, the gator chop taunt, EVERYTHING in those moments signaled that a new era in CFB was beginning.

And this is why I hate some people whenever I bring up, is this your QB and Florida fans start getting salty, literally the last time Florida made it to the Natty was when Fred was the most viral sensation on the Platform, viral even that word alone is nostalgic
@deemiquepearson84268 ай бұрын
Florida was not a dynasty. They had two good seasons both of which ended in NCs and deserve credit for that. They lost 4 games the season in between those championships though. At a maximum 2 loses might propel them into dynasty talk, but a four loss season doesn't happen in a dynasty. I would also argue that Alabama didn't start their Dynasty until 2011 as the 2010 team lost 3 games. Saban would never again lose 3 games in a season after 2010.

Only been a dog once since this game, at Georgia in 2015, after losing to Ole Miss for the 2nd straight year. That’s when they said the dynasty was dead. Then the Tide blew out the dawgs and never looked back, winning the national championship against Clemson. They didn’t lose again until the Clemson rematch a year later. To this day, that game in Athens is the only time they’ve been underdogs since this upset against Tebow. The last time the Tide lost a game as underdogs was a year before, in the ‘08 SEC Championship. Roll Tide!

The official moment where the dynasty began. This was Alabama’s biggest hurdle to overcome. How many significant games has Alabama been a part of in college football history? I'm watching a lot of videos of past Alabama games and it seems that they have almost been involved in many significant games without end. I watched a game recently on KZhead in which the Tide beat USC in LA from I think from the 1977 season. That was an excellent video of seeing the great Bear Bryant on the sidelines. He coached a bit before I was even aware of college football. He was definitely one of the greatest. I saw him on the sidelines applauding his players from that game despite his defense giving up a TD. He loved his players. I watched the famous goal line stand against PSU from one of the #1 vs #2 championships. I recently watched the thrashing they gave my favorite team, the 'Canes from the 1993 Sugar Bowl. And this game and many others. I have to applaud Alabama fans, they truly have something special. I'll try to find more big Alabama games.

5:47 - Textbook tackle by the Alabama punter. How often do you see the punter stop the returner in their tracks like that? Also in hindsight a critical moment, as that saved what would've been a touchdown for Florida and their best chance of getting back into the game.

The year before when Bama lost to Florida in the SECCG in the last, what....10 Mins of the game after being up ? Not seeing my Crimson Tide winning a NC since I was 3/4 (and yes I still remember watching the game with my dad in brother while we lived in Alaska cause my dad was stationed there) this was such a great win. Even after winning the NC this year and the consecutive #1 ranked recruiting classes that we were bringing in i still could not ever imagine that we’d create the greatest dynasty in college football history especially considering we had the second greatest dynasty ever when Bear was the coach as he won 6 NC’s at Bama as well. So yes, one of the greatest wins still in our past decade of dominance. I would put this game higher than the ND NC game if it weren’t for the fact we beat a blue blood that gave us fits during the 60s/70s. Bama has beaten blue bloods Texas, ND, and Ohio St now and some folks consider Clemson to be a blue blood as well cause their 1981 NC and the success they’ve had lately. Also beating LSU and UGA for NC’s as LSU is not a main rival (Bama has won 9 out the last 10 against them) and UGA, which I’m sure they hate us but they aren’t our rivals and believe me when I say we hate auburn, Tenn, LSU, Texas AM and even Florida (because of the 90’s SECCG’s) more than UGA. They sure do hate us tho. lol. I’d like to beat Clemson once more so we’d have a winning % over them in the playoffs as it’s tied now but I’d love if USC could get into a NC game against us so we could beat another blue blood. Or a Michigan/Penn St/ Florida St/ Nebraska. I would’ve said Miami as well but we beat them for a NC in ‘92. Roll Tide!

This was the game where the scumbags read off Mark Ingram's father's charges and where he was incarcerated which was highly inappropriate and disrespectful to the Heisman winner
When i heard him mention those charges it was like, “what the hell kindof tacky sh^t is that!? i was at this game; 9th row behind the Gators and Yeah...disrespectful Over a decade ago and yep i remember those assholes mentioning SPECIFIC on the man’s charges,,,wasn’t aware of it during this one though. RTR
good one
They did it during the national championship game, too...3 times.
It had to be that prick Danielson. I’m a Gator, but we can all agree that he’s hammered shit from the word go.
Wait what happened? Who read off his charges?
22:09-23:11 The moments where one dynasty was ending and another was beginning. All right in front of us. Tebow crying on the sideline, Alabama players celebrating, the gator chop taunt, EVERYTHING in those moments signaled that a new era in CFB was beginning.
And this is why I hate some people whenever I bring up, is this your QB and Florida fans start getting salty, literally the last time Florida made it to the Natty was when Fred was the most viral sensation on the Platform, viral even that word alone is nostalgic
One of the last times Alabama was an underdog
Only been a dog once since this game, at Georgia in 2015, after losing to Ole Miss for the 2nd straight year. That’s when they said the dynasty was dead. Then the Tide blew out the dawgs and never looked back, winning the national championship against Clemson. They didn’t lose again until the Clemson rematch a year later. To this day, that game in Athens is the only time they’ve been underdogs since this upset against Tebow. The last time the Tide lost a game as underdogs was a year before, in the ‘08 SEC Championship. Roll Tide!
1st of sabans 6 nattys at bama
The official moment where the dynasty began. This was Alabama’s biggest hurdle to overcome. Florida had been the top dog for about 4 years and Tebow was arguably the greatest college football player of all time. Up until this game, everyone questioned was Bama really back and if they had what it took to beat a team like Florida. And they did.
Man you can tell how loud our fans was. This was back when we wasn't use to winning like we are accustomed to now. We was so hungry man. #RollTide Baby #Rolltide
It was corny how Gary and Verne constantly brought up Ingram's father being in prison. They even read his charges on air. Classless...
It was just Verne and he said it once but ok

Jordan Alston my wife got angry every time they brought it up.

how cool it was to see Lacy and Norwood together on the sidelines. the two would go on to become instrumental in the 20011 and 2012 National Championships. RTR!!!

Jim Beam and Julio Jones .
Henry Rivet and javier arenas

Marcel Dareus, Mark Barron, AJ McCarron, Barret Jones, Rolando McClain, Donte Hightower, Terrence Cody, Dre Kirkpatrick, Chance Warmack ...
Kevin Norwood who had huge catches in the '12, '13 national championship games.

Nah...I gotta say that team who beat LSU in the title game. After losing in the regular season....to totally DOMINATE them the way they did was amazing. I don’t even believe they allowed LSU to cross the 50
Its up there but I would say the year they were led by Jake was one of the hungriest
U could tell they were going to win big I was a big fan of john Parker Wilson not saban guy but he was tough as hell would love to see JP have 4 years with saban
Unsung hero, and what I've always said was one of the biggest plays in the game. PJ fitzgerald the punter, tracking down the fastest player UF had in the open field! James coulda ran all the way to Port Orange on that one!

Like hank jr said the Atlanta Braves still loose to many games and we all get drunk at the bama games! Think it was the new south

squarecracker UHHHHH... No
@@squarecracker Programs dont collapse because of one player.
@@Elementalism Florida collapsed because urban left. Urban left because he didn't have Cam. I think if Cam stays, Urban stays too and UF has a dynasty. You can't tell me with a straight face Auburn wins a title without Cam- he was one of the best college qbs of all time. It is pointless to discuss 'what ifs'. There are no teams period that I love more than the 2008 & 2009 UA football teams; never will be either.
3:49 Verne when in the history of anything has something been returned after hitting the crossbar?
Thanks for the highlights! Been looking for these
In 2008 I thought Alabama could beat UF. In 2009 i never thought UF could beat Alabama. I said it all year that UF couldn't push the ball down field enough to stretch Alabama's D. 08 UF had Harvin and #9 at wideout, they could push the ball down field. 09 they didn't have the skill players to beat Alabama.
My, how times have changed. Over half of the players that were drafted from these teams are already done or were busts. The linebackers are the size of DEs in today's game. Tebow is in baseball. Meyer is at Ohio State. Verne retired.
That's why they call it the NFL - Not For Long.
Hightower is still in the NFL
@Justin Blevins C.J. Moseley won the Ravens their division this year.

Ohio State or Kansas State will avenge
A Decade ago and still not old!
I am a Bama fan but Tebow was amazing....a beast!!! I just do not know how he could not make it in the NFL??????
Christopher Cringle simple. He wasn’t good enough. Very slow release and not accurate enough to throw into the windows in the nfl.
He couldn't throw.
Watch half of his throws In this game. He wasn't a quarterback, hell of a athlete though. Should have moved to tight end.
@Lockjaw Did you miss the hell of a Athlete part? Name the last quarterback that had any sort of long term success at the next level?
@Lockjaw He was cam newton without any of the arm talent. He had a terrible and awkward throwing motion, very slow release. And literally couldn't throw the deep ball. Like not that he didn't do it well, like he literally physical couldn't do it. Passes 20 yards and further where pretty much off limits with him.
This team imo was the best bama team I ever seen.
Arron Hernandez.. Now that was a slasher

Walter White He needs to have a baby so we can have another good kicker

What a game. Roll Tide. It started the dynasty. Maze deserved more credit, but the whole Bama team was ready for this game.
You had god damn Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, and Marquis Maze on the same offense, with Arenas who was a phenomenal returner, with multiple touchdowns. Then you had Terrence "THE FUCKIN MOUNTAIN" Cody, and my favorite two linebackers in Alabama history in Hightower and McClain. That LB duo tore shit up in NCAA lmao. Overall just an absolutely *stacked* team.
After this game the dynasty was born
I was in California for the game. Man oh man. What a time to be a Bama fan. That’s all I’ll say.
This was the last Time Florida was a real national power.. and it was the Start of Alabama's Dynasty
“As a totally irrelevant footnote, the Southern California basketball team is staying in our hotel!” In the middle of the game with 0 relation whatsoever to the domination Alabama is putting on Florida. That is why the SEC on CBS will forever be legendary
Alabama took control of the SEC from Florida on this day, and never relinquished it for an extended period of time to this day. I’m a Georgia fan, but I have no real hate towards Bama like I do Florida. Just a lot of respect.
Roll Tide!
The Ingram screen pass changed the game
Urban knew Saban was taking over the SEC and when we beat their asses at home the next year that was the nail in the coffin.
The end of one era, and the beginning of a dynasty
This is where Alabama football needs to get again.
