in a recent interver with Extra for Dr Doolittle, Robert Downey Jr was asked about returning to the MCU as Tony Stark Iron Man... and believe it or not, his response was the not the steadfast no you would expect, but rather, quite the opposite... while his first answer was joking, his second was much more thoughtful, were going to break down what he said about coming back, what a come back would mean for marvel phase 4 or marvel phase 5, and why you probably still shouldnt expect to see him in an upcoming Avengers 5....

    • @@mrsweat3116 I think he meant more that Coulson turned up in most phase one movies and interacted with the avengers before they teamed up, the guy that brought them all together with shield.Then his death made them want to avenge him which truely brought them together. I guess Wong has been that guy in phase 4 and 5 with the most interactions but definitely not enough to bring all of the new heroes together.

  • The first Avengers was a small team too so this is actually dope to me. Gives them time to give the characters more focus and build that team dynamic.

    • I am on in with those 5 members. I think that team start really strong. Carol being the strongest and more powerful takes the place of Thor and Hulk as heavy hitter. Cap is Cap. Shang chi another good heavy hitter more in line with Iron man in power level. Spiderman and Shuri are perfect additions.

  • I think the lack of lead up is a good thing. In Avengers, the whole team met each other and faced Loki and the Chitauri threat. In Avengers 5, it would be great to see Spider-Man meet Shuri, Shang Chi to meet Sam Wilson Cap, Captain Marvel to butt heads with Sam and face a threat like Kang they individually would be woefully unprepared to fight but team together to beat him/his Variants. It would be great to throw maybe Moon Knight or Wasp in the mix too to even out the teams into a six person team like the first Avengers movie though.

    • i think peter has to be lile the tony of the young avengers and either die at some point or something then pass the torch to him like tony did to peter he still needs time to learn and adjust how is he going to be leader right away you need someone who is experienced but also young and knows the trials of both sides

    • As far as DC goes, they should have let Snyder do his thing from the very beginning but WB has to mess with everything their directors do so if it comes out bad then it looks bad on the director but MoS,BvS Ultimate Edition, ZS JL,WW, Aquaman was great... even the first Shazam was decent. Black Adam was good but it didn't get released everywhere like most other films. It wasn't just Snyder that had their projects changed by WB. Nolan in the DCEU (Not the Dark Knight). Bringing Snyder,Nolan, Affleck,Jim Lee,and ECT back to helm the DC projects is crucial to the future of WB Discovery and DC Films.

    • I’d really like Wanda back as well. The Scarlet Witch has been an Avenger in the comics for sixty years. They need to get her story from DS:MoM course corrected and have her back in action asap.     • I like the main team they come up where the least developed character in the group is Shang-Chi. I see them working into the team from a more cameo style in the 6th movie... War Machine, Thor, Vision, Dr. Strange and Ant-Man and then make the big show-up in the 7th movie when the gang gets back together like End Game. They can then use the 6th movie to deep dive into Hercules and Wonder Man if Disney + hasn't given them a back story yet. But I like your team !!

  • 3:22 Avengers line up Sam Wilson Captain America, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Shuri-Black Panther, Shang-Chi eh, I can see why they'd go with this team as a cut down leaner team to just get the movie and universe set up for Secret Invasion and all that. It's not a team that i'd particularly like, but I think it's mostly just THERE to get the job done and get them where they need to go. Not sure what their chemistry will be like. But hopefully it's a watchable and enjoyable movie. and they figure out the chemistry for this cast.

  • My additions include Ant-Man, Wong Bucky, Hulk, Valkyrie and/or Thor, with Act 3 including Yelana, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Elisa Bloodstone and Quake. Post Credit includes Deadpool, Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Emalia Clarke’s Skull Character, The Eternals and inter dimensional communication with the X-Men, Monica Rambeau and Iron Man/Tony Stark. There’s a logic pattern to this flow weaving through against a Kang Prime, Celestial and Dr. Doom threat.

  • Ngl, I struggle to picture characters like Black Panther, Captain Marvel & Doctor Strange being part of the main Avengers tbh. I'd expect them to all be present during a large event like Infinity War, Endgame & Secret Wars, but I can't imagine them being part of a smaller team/ roster - they all feel too independent imo, w/ them each having their own domain to take care of (i.e. Wakanda, Space & Mystic Arts).
