“It’s a full contact sport. I wanted to challenge myself. It was about trying to test my abilities, trying to grow as an artist.” John David Washington discusses the difference between acting on camera and acting on Broadway in “The Piano Lesson,” his experience working with legends Samuel L. Jackson and director LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and whether he believes in ghosts. #DailyShow #Comedy

  • This man stands ten toes down on his own and is absolutely amazing. Sometimes I hear his dad's voice when he's talking, but before I knew that Denzel was his father, I could tell that he was going to be great

  • For a while, I felt like John David Washington had what I call "Janet Jackson Syndrome." She went through something similar trying to break free of a famous family member and proving she is phenomenal on her own. Both of you never needed to do that because straight out the gate, you proved you were a talented and amazing force All On Your Own!!! And I'm proud of you!

Then it was certified when, after she passed, I watched the kitchen clock Lift Up Off the nail and flew across the room.
