10 Mythical Creatures That Exist In The Wild
Story-telling is one of the things humanity has got really, really good at. So much so that some of the mythical creatures you read about, might have been based on real creatures that we never really understood in the past. Such as this big bad wolf which has been around for centuries. Whether it’s the real version of something like the mighty Kraken, or a creature so small it can’t even be destroyed, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of them from your grandma or in storybooks.

Vampire Deer
“I want to suck your blood!” is not something you would hear this creature say. That’s because this mythical creature is actually a vampire deer, also known as the Chinese vampire deer. With their long fangs and chubby bodies, it’s kind of hard to decide whether they’re scary or downright cute. The reason behind their tusks is that…uh, well we don’t that either.
They’re herbivores so they don’t use it to hunt prey to anything. And they’re facing downwards so they can’t use it as a weapon. We’ve come to the conclusion that mother nature was in an experimental mood and that is why these cuddly creatures exist!
Tardigrades
What’s scarier than mythical creatures? Immortal mythical creatures, of course! These might not look too scary, but Tardigrades are the only creatures that have been to outer space and survived! In fact, they belong to an elite category of animals known as the extremophiles, or animals that can survive the most extreme environments. This means that they can live at temperatures as cold as zero or above boiling.
They can live up to thirty years without food or water! The fact that these tiny critters are only 1.5mm big palsy into the fact that they can literally live forever. When conditions get way too bad to survive in, they squeeze all the water out of their bodies and just roll up into a little ball and basically sleep till things are better. Mythical creatures have usually been big in stories, but these are the only exceptions. However, if you do like the might mythical, then you’re going to love it.

A fox was really like “Ima try something new and mate with a bat”
Or a male bat went into a female fox cave
its look like a legendary pokemon
@@Deyo2007 Fr
Bat has fox in its name doesn't mean its a cross between them..... I'm not sure tho :)
LMAO
Humans are so weird, they find something so pretty or beautiful so they kill it, only wear it or use it as decorations. And then they wonder why the animals are endangered
Yeah
So tahts means We're all Yanderes??
Ever thought of it that humans killed dinosaurs?
Well we killed the dodos
That’s why some of us go into conservation! I never thought I would until I realized what’s going on! I’m trying to save sum rhinos one day
I came here because the fox in the thumbnail looks like an angry Japanese fox god who is so done with people intruding his territory and just about to yell "gtfo my land" to us insolent youngsters.
YEAH SAME! Lol
Same foxes are my fave
I thought it was the prettiest fox of the forest whom every male fox has a crush on.
Naruto agrees
Yalls seriously- xD the thumbnail is art, it was made by somebody and they just took it it isn’t real.
11 Mythical Creatures that exist: no.11 : Good Teammates
And its critically endangered . . .
“In fact it isn’t a wolf or a fox” Me: it’s a skin walker
YeS!!
kzhead.info/sun/odqid7utmYyumJs/bejne.html
Ok so for the vampire deer, more commonly known as a water deer, they actually can use their tusks as self defense, and the males are highly territorial
Okay but they look like they've got cute little dopey front teeth and I just want to hug them. If they aren't friend, why are they friend shaped?
@@kwame20101 lol yes I am a big advocate for “If not friend, why friend shaped”. I also think they are adorable but also still a wild animals
Number nine was literally me: sleep until everything gets better

@Harvey Maverick we don't care
You were doing fine until the Maned Wolf. Named for the black “Mane” along the top of its neck. Pronounced Maine.
THANK YOU!
Cool maned wolfs are cool but I'ma 🦊
it's weird coz the legs are unusually long & looks like a cross breed between deer & fox.. and yes, it's pronounced mane like a lion's mane..
Well...they also though there were Vikings in the renaissance...the renaissance started in the 1300s, and Vikings only lasted till the 11th century. That, and the middle ages was the era immediately before the renaissance...
Apparently, its closest living relative is the bush dog 🤔
I can't imagine the giant bats roam in the city during the dusk. Tho they're perfectly harmless..their size is like a horror movie came to life.
Its pretty weird but its cool in our country phillipines
You should be more scared of human race, those giant bats are being hunted in philippines as either trophy or food
@@193hz p
jimin is just so pretty
i've seen some, they re not a bother at all. They do their own thing in the air while wedo our stuff. It s just: cool theres a tons flying there. Its was part of the area
Rolling up into a little ball & sleeping til things are better... I can relate, cee ya on the other side!
Awhh
that black lion is just real scar...
I think the Komodo dragon should be on the list, well you know that he is the last ancient lizard in the world
Crocodiles would like to have a word
This video is like a last minute school presentation XD so many incomplete or wrong things. We know what the teeth of the Chinese deer are for and no they aren't too small for fighting, the cassuaries ARE technically dinosaurs and it is pronounced [M] [A] [E] ned wolf or better aguara guazu. Those are the ones I can remember right after finnising the video
Yeah I don't understand why he said Man-d wolf instead of mane-d wolf
Also the thumbnail was a fake animal. Down voted lol
The birds of Paradise are the most beautiful! 😍
Narwhals narwhals sitting in the ocean causing a commotion because they are so awesome
Cringe but lol
Shove some sand where the sun don't shine you monster lol
I’m the sand guardian Guardian of sand Poseidon quivers before him F*CK off!
Traffic traffic lookin' for my chapstick feelin' kinda car sick there's a Ford Maverick!
I needed this
I can't get over the pronunciation "Man'd Wolf" in this vid 😂
maybe he is dyslexic
@@mangomoon he said "mane" normally when talking about the lion earlier in the video.
@@studymeup I don't want to sound rude but I don't know why you are telling me this... i don't know what your point is
@@mangomoon The person isn't dyslexic just uninformed on the correct pronunciation of the word "maned"
@@studymeup If that were true they would have to be dyslexic to not realise the true pronunciation from the way it is spelled, even if they were misinformed. why do you think it is not because he misread it, and heard the word 'mane' (as in lion's mane) separately? seems more logical than the possibility that he heard someone else pronounce it wrong or heard them pronounce it correctly but decided to change it whilst being able to read with an average level of ability.
I'm a little surprised that rhinos were omitted from this list. From what I've heard, Europeans created the image of a living unicorn based on misinterpreted descriptions of rhinos included in epidition reports of sub Saharan Africa. "Hooved, horse like animal with a horn proturding from the center of its face." Now was I describing a rhinoceros or an unicorn?
“Manned wolf” LMAOOO
When u said the Mane wolf I was like- er that looks like a. wolf, dog, fox mixed version. And is very tall and cute
It looks like a fox fucked a deer & this was the offspring
Black lion's fearlessness is above the roof. Didn't even turn head for the vehicle. What a wonderful creature.
Love the vids bro and good job
i saw lots of those bats from home I was so scared cause they were so big, flying above farms and hanging from electric lines
Well we have a hanging spot besides a tree full of them, and it feels like they're not even there hahahahaa
one of my favorite topics🔥♥️
damn that flying fox bat is downright scary! I've gotta run fast once i've saw such thing. u see, that size is like the mythical creature called "aswang" here in the ph😅
Lol 😂
Get yo salt
I see them flying every afternoon in philippines. Yes, every afternoon when the sun is setting and i always watch them because there's just too many of them.
Im a philipino but I cant see them in our city
@@khyledharenangelofenol4882 you won't see them in cities.
"Beautifully curved horns, that look like they've been hand-crafted by an artisan." Uh...yeah, because they have!
Vampire deer are actually Chinese water deer and they DO use their teeth for fighting. They bite each other on the rump after a fight when the submissive one runs away.
Locals often mistaken those giant bats as human eating monsters lol.
In my Taxidermy class I had a fruit bat from 3.5 feet long from my country the Philippines...It really did look like a winged fox with dark golden brown coat around it’s neck area.
the vampire deer? and i thought deer zombies were scary-
HAHAHA LOL
I seen Mened wolf at a zoo and took a good picture of it having a drink ❤️
The vampire deer seems more like an ice age creature than a mythical one
I love all of them ngl
“Big bad wolf” That is a maned wolf. Your welcome. (Lol)
“These look like a relative of the dinosaur” he says while talking about a dinosaur
In the thumbnail it was like: A rooster and a fox the thumbnail is interesting
3:42 I think they are also used for finding thinner parts in the ice so they can break it. 7:47 Not a Quetzal, which resembles the Aztec God in his Dragon form? Or a Great Blue Turaco? Or even a Macaw, as the only reason I heard for you adding this to the list is it's plumage?
Or even peacock. Seriously, they talked about beautiful birds and no mention one bird that so famous almost everyone would associate them with the most beautiful bird?
@@vivanyatodd5036 imo the most beautiful birds are Owls, especially the Snowy and Barn Owls.
are dingos still around or have they died in captivity?
@@nickciampi I think they are. Haven't heard about them in a while though. If they are, they may be endangered.
"Let's rewind back to the middle ages, during the renaissance [...] a viking" I'm not very good with history but I'm pretty sure every historian hearing this will have a heart attack.
I'll put Philippine eagle somewhere in top 2 or 3 bcoz they are really huge and looks really magical 🥰
I swear its pronounced the “Mained Wolf” not “Manned”
It's the BAT for me. It has a 5 ft wings which is like a human size but the shocking part is im from the Philippines. Hehe where you can find that human size bat. I wish i can't encounter that bat haha

Im surprised you didnt put the Shoebill in, it does look like creatures from a tale. Anyway, very interesting video!
*Fruit Farm exists* Golden Crowned Flying Fox: It is real free estate.
actually its not a vampire deer, its a musk deer and its endangered because people hunt them for the oil that the musk deer collect and the people make the oil a perfume
listen: Every creature came from somewhere. Every 'mythical' creature is real on some planet in some galaxy. This shouldn't surprise anyone, seeing as what this earth has gone through already. These are only a few of many creatures That humans have caught on camera
4:16 Here in the Philippines, most of the people think that these are "Aswang" an extraordinary human who kill and eats people that is capable of transforming or shape shifting, like this for example, from a human form into a giant bat.
Incredible creature
I remember being in Sri Lanka, in the evening, and seeing the sky being literally blacked out by a storm or thousands and thousands of those gigantic bats. It looked like doom day.
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I love yours videos and I subscribed to your channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Correction, tardigrades can survive ABSOLUTE zero temperatures!

Love the flying foxes. Just so beautiful
2:48 and if we convert it into an equation it will be like: = 10 luck + infinite unluck = infinite unluck - 10 years = so yeah, its usless but worth trying
Love that antelope with the curved horns, they are fashioned by an artist, God, who makes beautiful creatures.
Netflix:are you still watching? Someone’s daughter 7:18
New Pokemon Design looks cool ngl
I loved when you called it mother nature❤
Wow, the murder bird really does look so much like a dinosaur ✌🏻
The gerenuk is so beautiful

Wow nice story😲
Those birds are so magestic
are we not gonna talk about how you showed footage of a squid being drug to shore?
Love from india.❤
You should've added the viscacha, a rabbit like rodent from South America.
is it weird that i already knew all of these animals?
I knew most of them lol, but yeah idk if its weird lol
Animals knows each others lol
I know most of them
" Males occasionally cross swords, that's tickling the ivory's..."🤔😳😂😂😂😂😂😂🤦🏿♂️
The title should have been called Rare and Weird rather than mythical because I already saw a Narwhal in Hungry Shark.
Vampire deers were awesome
very good
Great video but maybe use the metric system next time since its a scientific video ?
Its wierd that I already know that some of these species existed.
After watch the fox in thumbnail i am like tomoe! Fact: tomoe is a nine tale fox from kamisama kiss!
See I keep telling myself that unicorns exist see SEE!!
Yeah
Kinda surprised he didn't include the actual unicorns from Africa....
Number 1: The Manned Wolf. I was hoping for some sort of mecha-wolf controlled by people inside it like voltron.
I think someone was high when they saw a narwhal because they thought it was a unicorn 😂 (⌐■-■)
Vampire deer, "Can't decide if they're scary or downright cute." Sir, it's cute.
yo whats the beat/song when you were talking about cassowairys shits slapps
9:32 The squids is not hostile but they still captured it :(
Fishermen gotta eat
Me : *Sees tardigrades Also Me : *Watches while eating Still Me : *Thinks its cute
The title should say unique instead of mythical
what i got from this video is that scar is basically a black lion and is basically a more endangered compared to mufasa who has the typical golden mane.
Sooooo exactly which culture/s claims these creatures to be mythical? I don't believe any of them relates to or belong in the any western mythical lores that I'm aware of. 'Unique' yes, but definitely not 'mythical' It's a stretch with unihorn & fangs but... Thanks.
*Chinese vampire Deer * it's actually called the Chinese water deer
