  • I’ll never forgot a few years ago my dad was losing sleep because my chihuahua Daisey kept waking him up every night for months straight. One day my dad suffered an accident at work and broke his ribs and had to go for testing and the doctor told him he needed a sleep study because he snored when he was at the hospital overnight for treatment. During his sleep study he stoped breathing 21 times in one hour. The doctor told my dad he would need one of those breathing machines to help him breathe at night. He then asked my dad if we had any dogs and he said yes and that Daisey would paw him awake at night and had been doing it for months. She was alerting him that he stopped breathing. After he used the machine she stopped waking him up so frequently during the night. Animals are amazing, and we miss Daisey dearly.

Romans 3:23-24 ✝🌅 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 ✝🌅 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6 ✝🌅 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. • It is so cool how crows befriend people. I never knew it growing up, but they had their very own society right next to ours. If I had known, I would have tried to become a crow friend. Them bringing back little gifts just sounds too amazing. Even if they only bring useless trinkets, I'd still have treasured them. For an animal to intentionally show that much respect for someone they like, I can't help but see it as a great mark of regard. Amazing stuff.

    • It's actually a bit of a problem due to the bears becoming reliant on humans to feed them, even in enclosures 😂😂😂 I grew up with a bunch of picture books that at some point mention that we shouldn't feed bears no matter how much they look like they want it, because it's bad for the bears and dangerous for the people

      @kmaple9@kmaple93 жыл бұрын
    • @@kmaple9 yeah, that used to be something taught (probably) much more often just a decade or 2 ago. It's only important because then they rely on it- and when they don't get it they get mad- and lose track of their normal habits. BUT. The way that we treat the environment and their home therefore- we owe it to them to do something about it. Really good idea popped into my head- and that's if it's not already being done. Stock ponds and bodies of water near where they live with more fish. :) Instead of for fish and game- it's to revive their food supplies and make them more abundant. Maybe replant in areas of deforestation- add some berry bushes they'd commonly eat. Idk. Just spitballing. O.o

They often gather in groups of hundreds for food or to protect territory against cats and seagulls. A great part of my life, it's nice to be known by wildlife.

    • Crows will leave nuts or anything that they want crushed on the roads cars drive on to crush it for them. They have a strict social system. The babies and the young are feed first, then its a free for all type deal. If any crow steals food from the young, the entire murder will neat the crap out of that crow. They remember faces, people, etc. 1 of the reasons my moms car had soo much crap on it. She chased of a bunch of crows from a cherry tree we had and prevented them from making a nest in it.

It turned on one of the burners somehow and the kitchen and most of the living room was filled with smoke. My dogs barked like crazy. I yelled, "shut up", but they kept barking. I got up out of bed and loved them even more than I did already, for saving our lives.

  • I had 2 cats that were feral-born brothers. One figured out that by jumping from a bench on the porch onto some loose floor planks, I'd hear it and open the door for him. The other figured out how to tell me he wanted treats...... he figured out that if he tapped my lips with a paw, I'd know what he was asking for. The fact they were brothers seemed to be the reason even in late life they'd learn from watching each other. Yeah....... lots of patting my lips from both of them. When they wanted my attention, they'd sit with their backs to me, occasionally turning their heads to check if I'm aware. And in countless occasions for countless reasons, they also figured out that if they stared at something, even if it was a doorway, I'd figure it out. Cats are phenomenally intelligent.

She would always make sure everyone was happy even would check on other animals we had rats, hamster, and a bunny she would check on them a lot and if they needed something she would just stay next to the cage. She even knew when something was wrong with her own body and would go to me or my wife before having a collapsing episode. After we had to put her down we go home tell her family (mom, dad, and brother all her pup family) and the youngest and oldest know the youngest cries and stays by my wife since she is very shaken from this and the oldest seems like he is morning her I am glad there such good pups. She had a heart murmur which lead to us having to put her down she lived 8 years and 2 months and was a very helpful pup that cheered everyone up even got 3 cards from vets/cremation place saying sorry for the loss and for the vets they said she really cheered them up on the tough days she was such a great girl sadly she is gone but no longer suffering.

  • What most people need to realize is the fact that when it comes to the crows story, who is crows know exactly what they’re doing, and remember anyone that gives them any type of kindness or food to help them survive. And regardless, even if you’re sitting in your car, they will recognize the color of the car in your own face as well. So if you end up trying to feed a random black crow in your own city or state, just be vigilant that they actually care about the fact that you can be there for them. And eventually you can make the same kind of friendship like a little girl did. It may be harder for an actual adult to do it because the sheer size of yourself over a little girl is not as menacing to the crows because, you’re just a bigger person and that could be scary for the crows. And it makes me happy to at least be able to feed two different types of animals during that time which are crows and actual ground squirrels or tree squirrels which don’t hibernate. So when I am able to give out free peanuts that I buy for myself, or even get an extra lunch on purpose, filled with rice, carrots, eggs, and also green beans put on top of it even if it’s chicken, the crows love it, and the rest of the birds eat it on top of the fact that the squirrel eats it as well. I have supplied them with so much food over the last year. It makes me happy to watch those animals come back one year to the next when they don’t show up during the coldest times of winter, what makes me happy is being able to give that kind of love to those who are so innocent, regardless of not being human, but the fact is, they are just random animals, looking for an opportunity to eat, and if I give that to them even without a handshake, it makes my day better.❤

    • This is actually hugely evident with push buttons given to dogs and cats. They are shown that pushing a specific button that makes a specific sound (word) means something. For instance, pressing food will get them food. Pressing toy will get them a toy. Outside will let them outside. It gets more complex to the point they combine buttons to try and convey what they want or how they feel. It seems a lot of the time it could just be the language barrier. After all, aside from being able to talk to each other, we also teach all this accumulated knowledge to each other. If a human was to grow up without language and wasn't taught anything, it would appear to have the same intellect as an ape. I wonder what would happen if you taught a simple language to a cat or dog from a very early age and then taught it things like math and physics. There are animals more known for their intelligence of course, but I'd be interested to see it done on animals not recognised for higher intellect.

    • @@sugarkitty2008 " If a human was to grow up without language and wasn't taught anything, it would a pure to have the same intellect as an ape." Well who taught the first humans? Why did we evolve into the dominant species without anyone teaching us? Why didn't we stay Apes in the same way a cat stays a cat?

      @shibanipinto7495@shibanipinto74952 жыл бұрын
    • @@sugarkitty2008 they only understand these words because we directly connect these words with sth multiple times. we humans learn new words pretty fast with basic words weve been teached and the more words we know the easier it gets. also animals only learn nouns and verbs. so while a human can describe a word to teach it to another human you cant describe a word to a dog (you cant teach them just by speaking). and we humans also dont even need to have witnessed the meaning of the word. this is just the difference in intelligence.

  • I had two jackdaws. saved both of them when they were young and likely to big for the nest. in both cases they were getting threatened by other birds or attacked. I kept both until they were able to fly properly. The first one i've saved was pretty young and he learned when he grew up in my house to pick cigarette butts and put them in the ashtray (some times they fell out). he had his makeshift cage pretty close where I'd smoke and some times he snuck out to sit on my lap. When we wanted to release him in the wild (our back yard) he just came back. It took us 3 weeks until he decided and got convinced by other jackdaws to leave. he even came once back and gave my mom a white pebble. The other one i saved was this year and this one older and had its nest pretty close to our house. in the second day he sat on my finger and ate, the third day he started to approach me for pets and kisses and he even came to sit close to me and take a nap. jackdaws are the sweetest birds that exist, they have this intelligence to adapt quickly.

  • Whales are so smart. Orcas are the most impressive. The hunting techniques they adapted are just amazing. If we could just understand their language all whales are communicating and teaching their young to communicate. People are the only threat to these animals. They aren't fish we should just leave them alone just like any other group of people. Have you ever seen the orca swim upside down up to a shark and bite ahold of the shark and then flip back right side up and then the shark is left upside down completely immobilized. Orcas taught us how to fight sharks. Tonic immobilization was not a human idea.
