Well guys. Here it is. This video has waited almost seven years to be posted. Some of you may have seen the Welding Rig tour video from a while ago. I hope you guys enjoy it and are inspired to build one of your own. I wish there was a way to make another one like this for one of the more popular vehicle/truck shows Like SEMA or for The Work Truck Show, etc. This was quite the challenge and it is something I had always wanted to build. I didn't want any big company manufactured bed. Too lame and cookie cutter. I wanted to build something of my own . As Frank Sinatra said it, " I did it My Way". As with any build, there are things I would change but not much. This fits my needs. If you are brave enough to build one, DO It! Only deep pockets will make me do it again. #kiddingNotKidding.
Very few have the ability to see something this complex in their mind and fabricate it to such a high quality. That build should be a lasting source of pride. Fun to see the memories with your young son and Mrs. Weld helping on the job!
A designer, an engineer, a fabricator, and an artist all in one man! What a rare combination!
Very well said and its true !
There is something noble about this whole undertaking: the financial risk, the hard work, the service it provides others, the financial support it provides your family.
Loved the CAD work at the beginning. Cardboard Aided Design. Then the photoshop to see how it would look. Classic!
I can't believe how much your boy has grown since you built this bed. Awesome craftsmanship.
You have a lot of vision and able to create with it. You could not get a manufactured as well built as that bed is. Awesome job
Many or your subscribers have been very interested in seeing the service truck build. The day has come, thank you so much! Nick, North West Farmer (Oregon)
Isaac, I have read a lot of the comments and no one has commented on what I think is the keystone move you made. Right at the outset you chopped of the rear springs and added air ride, your own design for sure. This is the one move that shown determination and understanding of what is required. The bed is awesome as we always expect from you LOL, and the fit and finish is very good. This was built to do many things including towing a gooseneck and other recreational trailers. This is exactly what I wish I could do here in western Canada. Anyway I wanted to say thanks for sharing and hope 2024 is good for you, cheers Paul.
what a special gift your mom and dad gave us, you are a very special presence for our planet . keep being you forever smart ! thank you for sharing your talents with me and others. Have a great 2024 to you and your family.
The problem is that you made this so nice that if anyone else wanted you to build them the same, they could not afford the labour. Excellent work as always, and, not that you do good work only for yourself, your efforts are always top class.
It's a top notch build--no question. That said, you might be surprised how much guys willingly spend on their rigs.
Been welding for almost 60 years, your welding and fabrication skills are works of art & pride. Enjoy your videos. 👍
Wow, Isaac! All this time watching you, I never realized you built that entirely yourself. VERY impressive! Thanks for putting this out there. AMAZING!
Watched in; “jaw dropped awe!!!” Incredible, ISAAC. The planning, engineering, attention to every detail, meticulous work with no short cuts, perfection in execution and all that functionality, and utilization of space! You are a true Master craftsman, and phenomenal mechanic! Still wrapping my head around you building this rig by hand, and the final outcome. I bow in your presence!😉 So nice to see your son from a young age by your side through this journey. Thank you so much for sharing with us!😇🙏😇 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My name's Isaac, and I endorse this truck!
An awesome trip down memory lane, Thanks for sharing 👍
It’s not just a bed it’s a work of art blood sweat and tears
That is a serious amount of planning, engineering and execution. Great work, thanks for filming it all.
That, Mr Carrion, is truly high quality. The fabrication yes of course, but also the movie. Thanks a lot.
Fantastic Job, you should be very proud of yourself ! It's always a great feeling when your dreams become reality and you're the one that made it happen ! ! ! Thanks for sharing it with us all !
The craftsmanship on this is unreal. This would be $60-75K if not more, for you to replicate this for someone else
Thank you for sharing. You are very blessed and your wife was right there supporting you. Peace
Great to see someone take so much pride in their truck. The pictures together with it brand new show that off. In a world where everyone dumps truck every 2 years this is nice to see.
Damn fine piece of work.
Mighty fine job !!!
Wow, you're like the late Boyd Coddington of the service truck custom build world. You wouldn't of got that quality from someone else building it plus your vision is at your fingertips. Amazing work Sir 👏 🙌
Excellent, great to see the son involved. Thank You
Best part was the paper doll mock-up on the photo. Full blown CAD (Cardboard Aided Design!) Brillant. As others have said, fabulous design, engineering and construction. I smiled when I saw the rear light recesses and thought - that guy has worked on classic cars and understands metal fabrication design. You have a great "eye" for composition and form. Well done.
There are no word's that I can say he has a gift and his welding is outstanding.
Dang, that's nice. Fricken Awesome! There won't be any questions when you roll up on the job. Loved the free hand on the wheelwells....Cool Hand Luke for sure...for those that know.😊
This is just incredible. wow. You Sir are a master craftsman. Incredible build. Wow.
SIR! I am only 5 min into this video and I am appalled that you have kept this build from us for so long. 😎
Built not bought, nice rig suh 🤙
WOW, it just goes to show, "If you want it perfect, ya gotta do it yourself" You have the skill, tooling, & the drive, and now have the best welding rig! Well done, respect!
Outstanding fabrication and work.🤘
Good day to you my brother happy holiday and happy new year to you and your family
Fantastic build Isaac, but I think you missed a trick, one of those tall cabinets would have made a great smoker, think of all the brisket lunches you could have on site !
Hi Isaac, great build. They always take a long time when you are doing it for yourself. Back when I was an Apprentice Carpenter in the mid 80s, I built a lock up box to fit in the back of my Corona station wagon. It was made from plywood and 2 x 1 DAR Vic Ash. I had a power saw and hand tools, so it took a while to build. I made it semi knock down, so I could remove it and store it if required. It was angled to match the angled back seat, and went from wheel arch to wheel arch. At the back I had a drop down tail gate to make it easier to get tool boxes in and out. Across the top was a multi fold concertina lid with a tail flap to meet the tailgate. It folded up just missing the interior lining and meant that I could get to all of my tools and boxes without pulling them out. It was also lockable. I used to cover it with a crappy grey movers blanket and it must have worked because when the car got broken into, the blanket was not disturbed. I hope that you and your family had a great Christmas and hopefully you all have a great New Year! 😊 Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
very nice work and great video of this build. thanks
Exceptional work as always, Isaac. Being from the rust belt, i can't help but notice 6 years later it's still in excellent shape. A salt free environment is a blessing.
wow i definately commented to early that entire set up and creation is impressive i thought you purchased it you definately got some skills
*I C Weld* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
Friend of mine built his own welding bed too. It went on his Chevy 3500 srw. He said same thing about the readily available manufactured beds. They’re one way and that’s not always what a man needs.
A lot of work but when you build it yourself you get exactly what you want.
This video should have gotten a million views. It’s fantastic and must have taken many hours to edit together…
wow that is a awsome solution for rear air ride i am so impressed if you came up with that yourself you should get a pattent after including a trac bar if it does not already have one dfinately saving this video for future reference thanks man wow
That is an eye opener. The way it's been designed and constructed hides a lot of support framework and strength . Even down to the little cubby boxes on the sides that come with small child as optional extra . Glad you put a video together to show the whole job as I'm sure that would make a series of a dozen or more in it's own right . A testament to your craft . Thanks for allowing us to join in on your journey through life
The work you do for your customers is always amazing but the work on this bed is a whole other level. It's so well thought out. You must have lost alot of sleep planning all the small details because it shows. Beautiful job.
Amazing work
A lot of thought and work went into that bed. The more I watch your channel the more impressed I am with our work. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing to see what happens when a master welder lets his imagination run wild and unleashes his incredible skills. For those of us getting started, truly an awe inspiring video.
Kiddo had a huge growth spurt. :) Awesome coachwork. Probably one of the best beds i've seen hands down. Not just in welding, but also in the fact that you thought out every detail, and it shows. 90% of these beds are either built "like i saw that other guy do it" or template cut and never to anyone's specifications. You're in the 10% who leads the trend.
Love your cord buckets and that boom is a monster
124 👍's up IC WELD thank you for sharing 😊
Some of the best fabrication I've ever seen One question was it cheaper to make it or would it be more expensive to buy it
Awwsome work sir, a true craftsmen
What a craftsman! One heck of a big project to undertake in your spare time while you're resting. LOL Always nice to have complete control of the entire build, and it's done "your way". They way you know and want. Here's a couple of well deserved ATTA BOYS sent your way!
Quality, precision, talent, CRAFTSMANSHIP!!!!!! What a beautiful job! Thank you & Happy new year! Bob
Top job.
What a huge amount of work.. but it turned out great! I bet you have just as much time planning and thinking about it beforehand, as you did the actual build. Now tell us about the 1956 (?) Chevy pickup in the driveway @00:39 !! 😜😄😎
I truly enjoyed that truck. Unfortunately I traded it for my 54 Hudson. I needed room for the family. That truck was so reliable. It was almost my daily for when I needed to run errands. It still had the 235 with the 3spd column shift. Such a great little pickup.
I've only watched part of this video, but I already know I'm going to love it
From Conception to Perfection, Isaac. A Work of Art, and the Spirit of America. God Bless.
You knocked it out of the park with this one Awesome design and fabrication But then we would not settle for anything less from you … lol.
Thought this was a work truck build video and I get suckered into watching art...
Unbelievably talented man you are, top class design and build
Nice Fab work Isaac love how you kept the body lines on the truck to match the side panels on the build outstanding
Fantastic build! Beautiful! Bed and truck! 👌👍! Thanks for sharing!
WOW I remember your first bed on your Chevy I thought was awesome but this is AMAZING You and your brother always had some wild suspension ideas, this is ingenious. I sure would love to see you and Marco again, been too long. This is S-10 James 👋
HA. Hey man.. Yeah, its been too long. Since Manny's in the 90's 😁👍
We moved out to Rockdale, living on a ranch raising cattle now. I’d love to have y’all out and let me cook y’all something awesome in the Party Barn.
Very impressive, I’ve worked pipeline for 20 years and seen a lot of self fabricated welding beds from some very talented fabricators /welders I’ve always loved checking them out, what else would an operator do at a tie in😂 but this one is the most impressive. Also the first air bag suspension system I’ve seen on one. Awesome art work buddy.
...awesome work !!!
And this is why the man is such an inspiration! And shows how cool it is to be able to fab your own stuff...his attention to detail is amazing and made his work piece 100% his way!
A true craftsman in every sense of the word. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
Justifiably proud of an absolutely amazing job. Thanks for sharing
I think that is the sharpist truck bed I have ever seen , but my favorite thing is the fenders . They are so clean . A very nice job of building it .
you have the most pratical and good looking welding rigs bar none , great job it was great seeing this time lapse
I have thought all along that this rig was your custom design, I grew up in Alberta CDN the oilfield was where you saw the engineering creativity in the mobile Rig welders custom designed work service truck beds . I would say you have taken it to the ultimate! Nice to see how you kited out the storage too. Beautiful work as always!
You skills and intelligence of your craft are legendary. I grew up with friends that their dads built the best welding truck beds but you take it to Tony Stark level of greatness. Thanks for sharing.
You've done an awesome job you provide for your family You're amazing at what you do....hopefully your family is proud of you and you are proud of yourself
I always look forward to these videos.
Your design skills rival that of your welding, superb !
Thank you for showing us that! Fantastic job, looks a real working tool! The hall mark of your skills.
Great craftsmanship my friend. Best bumper music too.
So happy for you, what a beautiful and functional bed.
Nicely done and a great result!! Thank you for documenting and sharing! ; -)
I can feel the true craftsmanship in this project! Thanks for sharing your passion with every one of us.
Watch your content.none better.great mechanic and fabricater.1st.class.
Great work, and wonderful finished product. Thank you for sharing your new Work Truck.
Thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of it before. Placing the goose neck ball further to the rear. I seldom tow a gooseneck with the service truck. Last time I got into my compressor on a hard turn. 😮
Your craftsmanship is second to none. You turned a pile of metal into a useful tool that will last for years.
Your welds are so prestine beautiful work
You are a true master craftsman of the highest caliber!
Incredible craftsmanship!! You are one of a kind!
That was very enjoyable , very talented man you are, well deserved too Thank you for sharing your work with us all. God Bless . It Looks Amazing.
Mr Weld you sir are a fine craftsman there is few and far between that can execute such precision in something that complex and I know it took you a long time to figure out how you wanted yours .Years if im correct . Working out of basic truck boxes . Im a carpenter of 26 years and like i said earlier few folks can do what you have done here Sir . Always great to see your work and the great care and integrity you put into it
That is the best setup and fabrication i ever saw on a welding rig, lots of luck, u deserve it with all your hard work
Very cool,nice job!
Too cool, old school. Really nice custom build. Always a joy watching you doing a scratch build. Textbook welds lookin smooth as glass.
The new video editing is good. Music with progress pics and video with your old school POV camera angle with narration is perfect. Well, maybe just a little more narration on what's going on.
Amazed on your clean work very clever on the design .now would you do it again if needed?😂 it's a ton of labor for one person
I see you have been very busy. Nice job as usual. The world today needs more craftsman like you. Sadly, I don't see them coming.
That was a LOT of work Isaac . And it has got to be one of the nicest service trucks out there . Literally built like a SHOW tank . :) I can just see guys with service trucks out there, with jaws agape . lol Now I see why you do so well . Behind every great man there's a great woman . And between them they make a great family . :) Thanks for the video Isaac .
That is one amazing build with a great helper along your side!!! Thank you for this video!
Hopefully some deep pocket will drop you a chassis and say build me a one off for the SEMA or Work Truck Show. They would not be disappointed with your creation and if I win the lottery I will be that deep pocket!
