Days Gone was such an underrated game I loved it and its still my favorite game
the best zombie game ever!
Sam Witwer is such an underrated actor , gamer , fellow nerd and star wars fan🥲
I just picked it up a week ago for my ROG Ally... it's the Walking Dead game we never got. Gruff white guy, rides a bike, uses a crossbow... love it.
Seriously regretted putting g it off for so long. I loved every minute. A sequel with some more features (base building, more bike upgrades) would be sooo good
Tried playing it last year, went 25 hours in and just dropped it. Wasn’t bad but felt it wasn’t amazing. Very safe comfy zombie game imo
I’ll never forget cresting a hill in Days Gone just to roll up on a massive horde that immediately started sprinting at me. One of the scariest moments in my time gaming and also the funniest. 😂
Yep I remember that the first time I took a walk with the camp leader to the hills and saw the hoard. I think it was a good idea not to have them as the selling point as they were a surprise to anyone thinking the game was pretty easy and then seeing that lol. Obviously the real reason Days Gone got bad reviews is because it didn't tick any boxes. Plus it was being released when the Zombie genre was saturated.
@@Thedownliner2015I think your last point is the kicker. The market was just saturated. Lots of people wouldn't have even picked it up at release because it was the 7000th zombie related thing in about ten years.
@@Thedownliner2015the hoardes were the selling point, they were in all of the trailers and prerelease gameplays.
@@Thedownliner2015 The hordes was absolutely the selling point of the game lol. It's been a while since I played, but I believe there were a bunch of those hordes you had to clear. And you had to plan it out so you don't die off the rip.
My biggest jump scare was when a wolf snuck behind me and leaped at me, throwing me off my bike.

Thank you!!
I play Days Gone each passing year again and again from the start. It never gets old and fun like hell...
I picked up Days Gone randomly one day, I was like "why not". The biggest surprise I ever had. It has a deep, sweeping story that had me committed the whole time. It nailed that "getting by in the apocalypse" vibe that's so hard to pin down. Everyone is trying to revive the past either to fight the present threats or find meaning. The dialogue works too, really well. The man who wrote it actually wrote the Syphon Filter series too so no wonder. There's this pervasive sense of forlorn hope in everything and it's such a sweet tone. The game design is also relevant and very approachable, taking down your first horde - can't beat that feeling.
very well said. Not being a console owner I missed it when it came out and only picked it up recently because it was so cheap it had to be worth a shot. All I knew was people had issues with it so I expected to bounce off. I did not, I loved it. That getting by in the apocalypse line really hits the nail on the head. That's what this game has so much of. I'd have to put it in a top 10 best games I've ever played list.
playstation exclusives always have good story while xbox have great art style and online multiplayer and nintendo of course just great exclusive with unique gameplay.
Yeah I agree. The relief and sense of achievement after taking down your first horde is something special
Agreed. I just started playing it for the first time and I don't remember the last time a story-driven open world game actually hooked me and made me want to keep playing (Elden Ring doesn't count because ... well, it's a soulslike and they're a category all of their own).
im triggered. mate there was no story, its why the game flopped if the story was well written and actually engaging it would be up there with tlou
Days gone is one of the best and underrated zombies games ever. The sheer amount of zombies on the screen at once is pretty awesome.
Days Gone sucks...
@@elizabethandeldinkamberovi1929 Like your mom
It "could be" my fav zombie game if they didn't implement the stupid motorcycle fuel limit and "camp currencies" with weapons soft locked behind them. afaik it's the only "horde shooting game" that really makes sense storywise (stories in games like dead rising just don't feel real, people don't react to things like how they would do in real life).
Yea I literally can't think of a better zombie game. State of decay 2 is a close second place but for the customization and base building.

Every comment is basically about Days Gone 😅 I hope they see this and understand how much we need a sequel.
I'm going through some rough stuff in my life at the moment. Thank you gameranx for giving me peaceful content to veg out to. As odd as it may sound, it is helping me alot. ❤
Hang in there, gaming brother.
Same. Lately, I can't afford to play games. And when I do have a couple of spare hours, I boot the game just to realize I've forgotten the plot or just can't keep up anymore if it's online. a As the last 2-hour-play was a month ago. So I watch these videos just for nostalgic vibes.
@@f.cavanough2234 So true. I just go back to watching movies and series
Days Gone absolutely needs a sequel. That game was and is amazing. I can't believe it got shat upon so hard.
Yea. So confused why it got so much bad press. Loved the game.
It’s not happening
Playstation said no an replaced it with another shit game know as last of us 2. They litterly said they can't make another game
Wanting to play Days Gone is the equivalent of reaching into the toilet to pull out a fresh turd. 😂
My favorite PS4 game
Days gone is of the only few open world games which I competed and felt like I was craving for more, this is one of if not the best game that I have ever played period, this deserved so much love and appreciation, the story the pacing the intrigue everything just perfect, what a perfect console game, just relax and play, man I am just so happy that this exists
For me it was the first horror/zombie game that I actually completed and prompted me to play some other horror games afterwards.
The story...was intriguing? what LOL
Yes the story was great. Better than any onther zombie game @@blindfire3167
The best game you’ve ever played?? 😂😂
@@MZ99698 are you hurt since HIS favorite wasn't your favorite? 🤣
Days Gone surprised me in the best way possible. I had never heard from that game, but I regularly scour steam for zombie games hoping to find one - preferably an RPG game. I suddenly found this through that search and was pleasantly surprised. This is exactly the kind of game I've always wanted. An openworld zombie game with some survival elements. Loved it. It could have been even better with more random openworld events and more survival elements, but I still had an absolute blast with it.
I loved playing through the Last Guardian! Really have never played anything like it but it was unique to guide Trico. It was frustrating but I wanted to see it through its emotional ending. It reminded me of bonding with my dog. Thanks for the shoutout Falcon!!
I loved Days Gone- definitely needs a 2nd game.
Days gone needs a second game but with coop
@@monkeytoes1155 if there will be a coop mode, the hordes should be bigger
Never happen because of stupidito Sony. they rather waste money on The last of us 2 remakes or whatever
It's a shame we will never get it & even bigger shame that Bend Studios is now making a live service game. Personally, for me, i could care less about live service crap & wish that studios would stop following the next fortnite trend.
@@monkeytoes1155dude yes, coop would be amazing
Days Gone needs a part 2 the fact that its taken this long for people to like it is beyond me i have enjoyed it since day 1
They had one ready, Sony passed on it and then the studio head went off on one on twitter and blamed gamers for not buying days gone at full price affecting it's sales
I LOVED Days Gone but the story was finished and I see no reason at all for a sequel. What would the story be in a sequel? A continuation of the original characters? Or a brand new MC with some kind of new, epic goal? How do you think it would match up to the original? I'm truly interested because honestly, sell me on a story that's at least as compelling and deep as the original and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Oh, and the bulk of it can't take place in the existing world/region, because well, where's the massive zombie threat anymore. It would have to take place in a different part of the country, which I'm totally down with, but it would have to be as detailed and geographically interesting and diverse as the existing one.
@@rabooey I always imagined it would be a return to farewell to try n take back the city in some way
@@scorpiongod101 That sounds great, but it doesn't sound like a main story goal. I think the main goal would have to be about NERO. I won't go into details about it here, for fear of spoiling anything about NERO for those who haven't played it yet. Also, the greatest thing about Days Gone was the feels. A sequel would definitely need the feels, and it couldn't involve the you-know-who's because that would just be lame because they've already been through it once. IMHO it would either need a brand new MC with an equally compelling story(which would possibly still be a re-hash and thus still lame), OR the existing MC who now helps others suffering with the same issue that he himself had. I could easily get into ~that~, as long as we really feel for those he's helping, with their issues being deeply dove into and expressed to us.
@@rabooey You are forgetting about a prequel.
Days Gone is still to this day one of my all time favorite single player games EVER! The story was incredible and totally took me by surprise, and Ive never played a game before where I started out hating the main character as much as I did and than doing a complete 180 on my feelings for them as the story progressed. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend
Days gone is so so so underrated, deserves a part 2
Right but no let’s make a live service game instead. Classic
Try State of Decay 2
Spec Ops: The Line was the first game I bought at launch price, and I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful, amazing, heartbreaking game. I absolutely adore Nolan North. Uncharted is one of my all-time favourite series. So when he's involved in a game, I pay attention. Spec Ops is also one of the first games where I played through and completed the super hard difficulty levels and challenges. It felt so good. I've watched Days Gone through and loved it. Right up my alley. Can't wait till I can get a copy to play for myself.
I think Quantum Break doesn't get enough love. Granted when I played I had absolute zero expectations I was still met with an ambitious game with a nice story and great acting on the live action cutscenes. The gameplay was really fun and fluid with a fair challenge.
Just finished Days Gone yesterday. 100% recommend it! It starts incredibly slowly introducing the world, but after 10 hours I couldn’t put it down
I loved Days Gone when it came out, I never understood why more people didn’t like it back then
Becoz of the bugs. Some fb groups where I am a member posted some photos highlighting some hilarious in game bugs. I remember to be pretty much disappointed and disgusted back then. Then I played it in late 2023. Honestly one of the best games I ever played..
Bugs was one reason. The other reason was the protagonist and his girlfriend were not ticking the diversity boxes. Both White. Both Christians and both Bikers.
Plus, kinda unfortunate timing. It came at the end of the "zombie craze" wave, and a lot of people were just tired of the genre. Still think Days Gone did it best, but a great chocolate cake right after 50 good slices doesn't seem appetizing.
Southern white guy is why
A couple reasons, it was a buggy mess when first released, it’s got a slow beginning, Deke takes a long while to get enough exp not to die in a couple hits, plus some reviewers were big mad that it starred a white guy for some reason.
What set AC Unity appart for me was the ammount of buildings you could get into and explore indoors, you could walk into Marie Tusseaud's shop and she'll five you a quest or get inside some nobleman's house and the detail on the art and luxury was astounding.
Manhunt. Got it not long ago on the new console and although it's dated, the violence.... my goodness, the brutal violence, gritty and dark atmosphere, it was just exactly what you wanted out of a Rockstar game that wasn't Red Dead or GTA. Definitely worth going back to.
Days Gone is AMAZING, but it has a really tedious start, but if you keep playing, you realize how much depth it has.
I was immediately hooked, and the game just started getting better & better. But then I started hitting some major graphical issues and game glitches, and I left it to simmer on my back burner of Steam games. Might try it again some day. I loved the location, characters, and gameplay of it a lot.
@@mikegarland4500 it was a shame the game had so many performance and bug issues at the launch, 'cause it's a great game and most of people who played didn't kept playing until the moment the game really shines!
Yeah I hated it at first and just thought it was really generic. Im still highly skeptical to go back but maybe I should keep playing.
@@sherazuki I had the same feeling, "this game is so generic" but, i decided that i wanted to see those big hordes of zombies, so i kept playing and the story started getting more and more interesting and suddenly i was hooked, i even cried in a part of the story lol It's truly a great game.
Days Gone for me is top 10 games of the last decade
That’s wild but I respect it for genuinely loving that game
👍
Control was a massive surprise and WAY ahead of its time. It deserves a TV show of its own.
Alpha Protocol is one of the best games I ever played. I wish they would do a re-make or a re-master. I still think about it to this day.
It just got re-released on GoG. Not quite a remaster, but they were able to add some stuff.
I'm playing through Days Gone for the first time in this period. Really goated game
You should try pigeon simulator
@@holdupits420 Thx, I'll keep an eye out for it
Just finished my first play through of days gone and was absolutely addicted the whole time
Days Gone is one of my favorite games of all time. It's a complete travesty that they haven't greenlighted a sequel to it
We are talking about sony dont forget :) They dont know what they doing
@@sauliusvekteris526 I'm aware Sony is the one who didn't greenlight this sequel. It's the same Sony that wants to focus on more live service games. Sony is becoming more and more anti consumer imo
@@aconceitedbeast731 Which is sad because I loved playstation since PS1. Not sure why sony is so anti gamer. When we wanted to play the old ps2 classics again they locked it behind a online only paid service that is super buggy. So many classics from ps2-ps3 and the ceo said "Who wants to play those old games"? They're very out of touch, anti gamer, attacks gamers and says we aren't the core audience when we are. The activsts aren't and don't play games. I want fun games with great characters with great gameplay. Sony also keeps trying to make games into movies. Its not fun or normal when half the game time is cutscenes. Its also not fun to have a cutscene or scripted moment break the flow of the game.
I LOVED Watch Dogs 2. To me, the goofier cast didn’t match with machine guns and RPGs, so I played the whole game “non-lethal” with only hacking, melee takedowns, and the shock weapons. Made it a lot more immersive for me!
I'm currently doing a 2nd playthrough of Days Gone. As much as I love the story/gameplay/the bike mechanics and the world. I'm seeing now that it is really underbaked. There's so much in this world that is left to be desired. I went into Copeland's camp a few nights ago and instead of going to see Manny or speak to Copeland for a quest I started wondering around the camp. I was in awe of how detailed the camp was. It genuinely looked like a survivor's camp that was built around a big tree.... and then I got to the guard posts. There were multiple of them. On different levels of elevation and they seemed to be in the perfect spots for taking out enemies. Yet, you don't use them. They're just there. Imagine a mission where a horde was coming down onto a camp and you along with NPCs were tasked with culling them, while you fire from the guard posts. And that's basically the entire world of Days gone. It is so detailed, but under utilised, and as a result it loses out on moments you could've had in game, especially because the world can be dynamic. Every building allows you to enter it. Imagine finding a small family hiding out in one of the buildings while a bunch of raiders or freakers were outside it. While trying to complete that a horde could've been in the area and came hunting for you. It would've made exploration so much more captivating more so than just finding resources. It could have even evolved into you needed to escort this family home again. It would've given more depth to making the roads safer by clearing out freaker nests, other than just opening it up for fast travel. I fault nothing else of the game. I love the shooting mechanics even though a bunch of people complained about it. I love the bike and how conservate you need to be (even though people complained that the bike got damaged and ran out of petrol too fast), I love how it's like a ubisoft map but not exactly. I love how small and detailed the map is. I started traversing it without using a GPS when I needed to go somewhere. AND THE HORDES, my god. They're amazing. My wish was that we got a part 2 that kept this same map, they didn't even need to update the graphics. That could've been carried over to the PS5 flawlessly. I just wanted them to flesh out the world a bit more. Make it fuller than it ended up being in the game we got. Thanks for coming to my TED talk :)
Control is one of the best games ever made. The story, the lore, the gameplay, the atmosphere. My first platinum trophy lol can't wait for the sequel 🔥🤌🏽
No game has ever given me as much of an adrenaline rush as Days Gone. It is so satisfying when you finally manage to finish off the massive hordes. Yes, even more adrenaline pumping than beating a boss in Elden Ring.
No way
Unity's lighting is great. I love it. Sure, Black Flag will always hold a special place in my heart but Unity is damn fun.
Days Gone - Started it two months ago and it's now on my Best List. Really well put together.
Days Gone is my favorite zombie-game. I like the story, and sure the pacing could be better, but the core gameplay makes up for pacing by being excellent.
I wish they would make a days gone 2
👍
I pretty much play Days Gone all the way through at least 2-3 times a year. It is just one of those games that I get drawn back to every few months. It is so comfortable and fun. A great world to just drive around and do stuff in.
Web of Shadow was such a fun game. My friends and I discovered some whacky glitches in that game back in the day but they just made the experience even better.
I was just playing Mad Max and was thinking how that game should've been listed. I do know that gameranx loves mad max and has advocated for it a couple times now but god damn...that game is just so fun. The atmosphere is great, from the combat, to the driving, taking on convoys on the road, even the sound design of the engine of your ride...the game is just so SATISFYING! MAD MAX FTW
Some random GR video is the reason I tried Mad Max, and it is a ton of fun
@@klabjcobevj72nso0fj4 yep same for me
I'm playing it for the first time on the Deck, it works great!
the fighting sounds very cruchy, and it makes the combat very fun
I had a lot of fun with Mad Max. The world is ok at best, but the combat and driving are really good.
Max Payne 3. Got slammed because it wasn't an carbon copy of 1 and 2 but I loved a lot of what it did. Still some of the best 3rd person shooting around.
Too many cutscenes for me, but one of my best games !
@@lo-op those smooth AF transitions made up for it!
It wasn't hated for not being a carbon copy. It was hated because it threw mostly everything the original games did out the window.
We all know days gone was shitted on because sweet baby inc didn’t get their way with the game
In a world where I have neither the time or the patience to complete the majority of games, Days Gone was one of the few that kept me invested and I saw through to the end in one go. I’m so surprised that it got such a poor reception. Would definitely love a sequel.
I didn't hear about Days Gone back in 2019, so only discovered it recently and definitely think it's great.
I replayed Shadow of the Colossus a week ago and it still blew my mind how amazing the mechanics are in that game. And that last Colossus was still one tough SOB...
Playing Dark Arisen right now. Wanted to try it after playing Dragons Dogma 2. Loving it so far
As someone who just got to it last year after it went on gamepass, i can confirm Quantum Break still plays great now and is definitely worth your time if you haven’t played. If you like Alan Wake or Control and haven’t played, then you absolutely should- it will scratch that same itch and it’s just wonderful tbh. The live show tie in components are good if you just accept them as homage to 90s style Sci-Fi, the same way alan wake 1 is an homage to suspense thrillers. The nice thing too is that if you don’t dig them, they are absolutely skippable. They only cover side characters and fill in the details of everything happening around the main story. Opt in or out, it’s really your call.
Quantum Break was soo good. Its a shame how it underperformed, because a sequel would be so amazing and was set up great.
The biggest factor working against Quantum Break is its Xbox One exclusivity. This game needs a remaster for modern consoles including PS4, PS5, and the Switch 2 (whenever that releases).
It bored me. They mixed too much narrative into the gameplay. I loved the idea of the real live TV to tell the story, I get to sit down get some popcorn and enjoy that, but then please refrain from so much slow walking, action stopping, hand-holding story moments in the gameplay sequences.
@@hauptmann25I enjoyed it. We don't get to see much live action scenes in a game. Specifically good acting.
@@Psygnosis No I meant the in-engine story parts. Slowed the pace down to a crawl.
You misspelled "So Garbage". I spent full price on that absolute piece of excrement. Still angry about it to this day.
Days gone is a great underrated game and beating the sawmill horde feels so good would love to see a sequel.
I played Unity the first time back in 2020 right when COVID hit and it was such a visual stunning game. It really felt like virtual holiday at that time. Played origins and odyssey right after it and they were just so massive and padded out. Unity was truly the epitome of the assassins creed series in terms of movement and flow
man ac unity was such a ride for me. i played it for the first time in 2022 and i loved it. it felt awesome to return to traditional AC after trying and failing to get into the newer ones. what an underrated gem honestly
Quantum Break is by far underrated. Its really fun. You can essentially watch the live action cutscenes as a standalone. It was one of the first games I got for the xbox. Absolutely loved it.
I bought Days Gone twice. I played it at a PAX event and was sold, I couldn't wait for it to release. Awesome game.
Days gone still my fav zombie game...Its underrated for sure....Best part is you can use hordes to clear marauder camps or story mission like clearing nero troops lol... its a fun game... I would play it all over again...
The wildest thing is I saw a dev in the comments of a video who replied to a video talking about the game. And he was saying it was a small team and if not for budget issues that had so many more ideas and could make 2 other games off the ideas they had. I believe he was someone who worked on environmental development by memory but they sound like a really passionate team. Who are begging to make another game. And still passionate enough to be in the comments thanking people for noticing their hard work
Thoroughly enjoyed Days Gone right from release. It felt like RDR, Mad Max and The Last of Us all rolled into one. Deacon took a while to get used to, but as you become accustomed to him and he also mellows through the story, I met him halfway and we got along since. And NO GAME gives you the rush that hiding in a house when you accidentally encounter a horde moving through an abandoned town as they eerily navigate around it. And REALLY WEIRD niche like, but I love the sound as the bike drives over a wooden plank bridge.
Alan Wake II was one of the few AAA games I've played recently where I quit 1/3 through out of utter boredom. Yet Control was one of my all time faves and I've replayed it twice so far.
Days Gone was FRIGGIN awesome. Great music discovered in it too. Loved it. Would TOTALLY play a 2nd entry!!
that was a massive boring time waste. you people play any old tosh

Days Gone was the best game on the PS4. It's crazy that its not getting a sequel
Gameranx really rubbing it in and reminding me the games that are sitting Idle in my steam library
Spoiled for choice is never a bad thing but I guess talking about any other way of getting delisted games other than buying a used copy is a bridge to far.
tell me about it!! I'm slowly going through some "oldies" and this thread was perfect for what to play.
Control was amazing... Alan Wake 2 is a walking simulator just like AW1
Just started a playthrough of Watch Dogs on the PC. Downloaded a couple mods and the game runs and looks beautiful. Glad I gave it another shot so many years later.

It was soooo good. I agree it got done dirty.
I’ve never played it. Time to pick it up I think.
@@arronstone177you won’t be disappointed
There is still hope the 2 Devs from those days that still remember how to do art and make a 3rd game. (That was a joke btw) But the other 10 left and most of them work for Modern Warfare these days. Went from fired by them. To competing with them to enough success they buy your company. And then they rehired 6 of the people they originally fired after the Respawn sale. So yeah Respawn is dead. TF is dead. And would be overmonetised BR crap if they did clap something together from TF2 and Apex 😊

AC Unity blessed me at launch with zero bugs and to this day its my favourite AC game. Loved the customization, co op was fun, and it had hands down the best movement and parkour system, so much great little details.
I honestly thought mirage would be like Unity. But was disappointed. Unity has the best gameplay mechanics imo
I remember being so hyped for Alpha Protocol when it launched. But I never got around to playing it. Its been in my Steam Library ever since just sitting there lol.
Square Enix’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2021 iirc) is massively underrated. The game definitely deserves a sequel. It’s absolutely hilarious and emotional too.

Pre ordered days gone had issue on day one but after a few patches it ran great. On the PS5 it runs fantastic on the PS is extraordinary.
Days gone is a wonderful game with a slow story start. Plays great on Ps5
I am super excited about Days Gone. Those who have played it know how good the foundation is for the sequel.
Funny this video came out yesterday...without any knowledge of this great post I re-downloaded yesterday and have jumped right back into this masterpiece! Started the new game + and looking for hordes to air out!
Quantum break was one of the first titles I played on my series X. It really left a great impression on me.
Days gone is a great game. We definitely need a part two.
oh i thought you meant like games returning/coming out in 2024 i was like wow they're making a a sequel to days gone that's cool dang
Yeah, I thought the same, but I'm happy that Days Gone is gaining the praise it deserves.
Just played through Quantum Break about a month ago. Hugely underrated. You could really see the Remedy formula starting to coalesce with that one. It would be nice to see a sequel someday.
Days gone should get a sequel it was phenomenal
Days gone was so good in the late game
That was always my biggest issue with the game. You are double figures into the game before it even begins to get interesting and few games are worth that much time investment just to wait until they get interesting, especially in an era where games are so long. It was a solid mid tier game imo.
@@EzekielB-f1993 the story was the thing that is very overrated. It is pretty horrible dialogue and writing
Alpha Protocol had a total bug fix and overhaul for the PC version before delisting. That is what GOG has included in the relaunch/release. It is still a rough and tumble game, but the GOG update makes it worth playing. Some modders are working on a huge overhaul/add-on. It's still in early dev stages.
Alpha Protocol was one of the best games I have played. The dialogue options were so deep, only Obsidian and a selected few would offer them.
Days Gone is gem. Been gaming for 30 years and it's in my top 3 of best games ever made. I even bought a motorcycle after playing it.
Hows the motorcycle purchase going 🤔 Thinking of getn one myself.
No regrets here!
It's actually possible to play most of the Last Guardian in 60 fps on PS5, but you need the disc version. There's a few sticking points where you need to update to the 30 fps version to avoid crashes so it's not the smoothest experience but I found it much more playable at 60 fps.
Beyond two souls deserves an honourable mention on this list, not for gameplay but for story games as a whole, going forward from that to games like until dawn you can really see how developers leaned into narrative driven games that sure were lacking in gameplay elements but leave you satisfied with good story and multiple endings to replay and see how your choices effect the story
I think The Callisto Protocol should be on this. I'm currently playing it for the first time (with Denevo removed so it runs well) and the game is fantastic. I'm shocked people said it felt repetitive, the dodging and fighting mechanics feel incredibly unique and intuitive, the graphics are stunning, the game at some points looks completely real and the sound design is some of the best I've heard with Hellblade being the only thing I could think of being better. I can't see how anyone who loves dead space wouldn't also love The Callisto Protocol.
I love you, Falcon
GameRanx Team is awesome!
I saw him first.
I was just thinking about The Last Guardian the other day. I wish they would release a remaster of that game. It would look so beautiful in 4K at 60 fps.
Already runs at 60fps updated on PlayStation 5 that being said doubt a remake / remaster would be well received considering the backlash the current ones are causing
I loved unities difficulty and varied style of play. My twin played ultra assassin doing the 4player challanges solo then id do them loud and tanky with heavy armor and fighting my way through the 4player challenges
The cinematic presentation and various story choices of Baldur's Gate 3 along with the combat and environmental reaction of Divinity Original Sin 2 would be my dream game
Since they aren't doing a sequel to BG3 you might get your wish. Also most the game play mechanics of Original Sin was in the first game biggest different being less involved dialogue and quest options and far less vertically.
Days Gone is underrated it’s almost criminal. The critics really hit that one wrong (something we’re seeing again with Rise of the Ronin) and I think only reviewed it based off of the first 5-ish hours.
if a game takes over 5hrs to get good, it’s not very good.
I never got far in days gone because i didn't want the story to end, after a year i finally continued what i thought was the last chapters only for the 2nd half of the map to open up and the realization i had pretty much an entirely new game to play.
for me, the story wasn't interesting at all until that second half of the map unlocked lol, i was slogging through it hoping it'd get better.
I believe splinter cell series is worth mentioning as well, spec ops well the story is pretty dark for me but it's worth it to play
I do hope that someday they revisited and give us a days gone 2. It was soooo fun for me. I could see them expand on that formula. It was great impo
Glad to see the love for days gone, underrated game for sure truly a gem
Lotta love for Days Gone in the comment section (and rightly so) But my heart belongs to Titanfall 2. Like Days Gone, this one was sorely underrated
And largely FORCIBLY forgotten thanks to the cooperate masters at the time. Thanks EA.
Titanfall 2 really makes you care about a machine in ways I never thought anyone could. Just top notch story telling.
Agreed titanfall 2's story was so well done and perfect length. The. Multiplayer was way ahead of its time. Wish they would make a 3 but atleast people still come back and play. Great franchise
Days Gone is such a great game. I can't believe it got lost in the noise of the industry. Clearing hordes and nests can be challenging and a ton of fun.
Struggled with Days Gone multiple times before giving it a 4th or so try ... and it clicked. Ended up getting the platinum. Some frustrating moments, but overall really enjoyed it. Trying to plan out a strat to deal with some of the freaker hordes was simultaneously tense and fun. Just wish melee weapon durability were a tad better.
I'd love it if Bend Studios made a Director's Cut version of Days Gone, porting it to UE5 with visual enhancements and including back a ton of the cut content they had to chop away at.
Best idea ever! 😁🤘🏻
I'd love this, too, or at least a DLC. Sadly, Sony has the developers working on a dumb live service game because the suits that run the gaming division have no clue about gaming or what gamers want.
Days Gone was one of the few games I pre-ordered and I just replayed it a few months ago. Made me so sad that there wasn’t a Days Gone 2.
I literally replayed watch dogs 1, and I was genuinely suprised how good the game is and how it’s held up. I definitely think it’s better than legion, and in some ways it does some things better than watch dogs 2. The game at night in the city is very atmospheric and a joy to ride around in
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
I’m desperately waiting for Days Gone 2. I loved the first so much and it’s heartbreaking it won’t get a sequel. I’d do anything.
