Hey dude, on the comic book thing, I've been writing a few for about two years now. I'm 21, I've always been more of a writer than an artist, I've been learning to draw the last year and a half and although I've made good progress, I'm still shit (compared to where I want to be anyway). I'm starting a company with some friends of mine who are also aspiring writers, but again, none of us can draw well enough. I have ideas for around 4 stories, I'd say 2 of them are extremely developed, and I'm in the stage of starting one of them right now. It's a one shot, I don't know if you're familiar with Japanese manga but its something mangaka (comic book authors) do over in Japan when trying to get published in a magazine. I'm doing it more to test out my skill. But comic books are really only the start. We want to be a fully self sufficient animation studio at some time in the next 20 years, producing animated shows and maybe even feature length films. We'll use the comic books to get as many good ideas out as possible and garner an audience, which hopefully we can turn into capital that can be used to self fund animation projects and hire more people to make comic book production faster. We know we can't get there without a dedicated and talented team. Maybe you'd want to start working with a writer? I really fuck with ur art style and would love to see it in comic book format, but I also get that you might want to create something that's 100% yours, not half and half, we're all artists, we all have egos. Anyway I'm not saying I'm Tolkien or anything but I don't really have a shortage of ideas and I think I have a pretty solid grasp on dialogue. I've never really experienced writers block and my stories are virtually all that I think about. I really have a passion for this shit and I want to create great art. Thanks for all the kind words, your project/goals sound very cool but I just don't have the confidence in myself yet to be reliable enough to not frustrate someone if I worked with anyone else. 😆 On top of that I feel study and practice at the moment is best for me in the long run, I'll never be 100% happy with my art but I definitely don't feel "comic-ready" yet. Lastly I'm trying to be realistic with my time dedication and so lately I've been considering doing small projects for content and growth but I'd mostly be focused on the content. If I do so, I'd mostly likely do a series where I do different short projects for each of the things i've always wanted to do. and I'd end up doing a short comic for one of them, maybe 6-8 pages. But overall I just try not to set a plan because I'm terrible at sticking to them.

@@omegatv2574 tyvm I really do appreciate the compliment, I think if I were to spend a few months practicing characters and posing I would be very close to where I think I'm good enough. Also I'm sure you will improve much faster than you think, just make sure to switch up what parts of drawing you train your brain on. For example, when i do these b&w abstract drawings it helps me learn to texture and detail but not characters, but if i now go back to characters, the folds of some of these abstract shapes would make it easier to picture folds in clothing. Sorry I don't know if I'm making any sense. Regardless, I hope you get where you want to be as well 🙂
@@MstyArt No this really helps, some of the structures and buildings in my world have some very out there architecture that I struggle to translate from my brain onto a piece of paper. I'm sure doing abstract exercises like this will help with that as well as other stuff, I'd never really thought of it like that. Thank you.
