    • What about Castroviejo and Narváez? Or Puccio and Moscon? I mean, we haven't gotten to Ganna. When you have the luxury of losing Sivakov on the 5th stage and still put such a display, you know you have a great team. This team was too much.

    • @@samhenden you could argue that a disk brake can avoid a crash in a rainy and tricky descent that could end your giro. I think as long as you don't end up with a cervelo disk brake bike (over 8kgs!!) i think both choices are understandable. Sadly most teams don't have a say about it and its a lot about marketing

  • The entire team worked brilliantly together in a way that had been slightly lacking last season. For a specialist time triallist, Ganna was immense on the hillier stages, Martinez unbelievable. the Ritchie Porte of today. A fifth place as a domestique. What could he have done had he not been tied to Bernal? I suspect Dave Brailsford was more overjoyed at the end of the race than I have ever seen him simply because, like me, he had thought Bernal's number might be up over a 3 week Tour because of the ongoing back problem. Thank god we were wrong.
