  • Can you imagine? Ari Vatanen in a Group b peugeot 405 and he gets smoked by a DAF truck! How he he must have felt when that DAF passed him... Best moment in Dakar rallye ever!

    • @@Rubensgardens.Skogsmuseum Ari vatanen is on film commenting thet it took him a long time to get over that, and it was a "low point in my career" (he says half joking, half honest). He probably yelled out the mechanics as well at the end of the day... De Rooy's codriver says they had a higher gearing than the peugeot, and vatanen says large tires is an advantage in some road conditions.   • DAF 95 was 1988...first part od the video is Turbo Twin I (1986) and Turbo Twin II (1987)... Ari Vatananen take ovver was in 1988 with the CF 95 XI
