Now we need to hear a “ready … let’s go” autotune edition.
"Dry ass reddit nerd fights" Couldn't have said it better my self
Your cinematography and editing is getting real good bro, loving it
Thanks so much!
I was curious about these! Thanks for the review bro.🔥
Banger of a video as always. And I like how you did not bother stating aesthetics at all because it does feel like other reviewers tend to take a biased opinion on certain headsets just from the way they look.
Thanks for continuing to put out the content you do. I've been taking in a lot from channels like yours and it's helping me to re-focus my own efforts and perspective. Still have no idea what I'm doing, but that's sort of my way I guess x-D
That opening scene with the camera going back to show the peripherals is so clean and tight. Black and gold never looked better Keep up the good work man 👍🏼
Thank you!
Thank you. Thanks to you and Josh Valour I have been able to move into a great dac and amp. I will still enjoy wireless and I want to say thank you for the on going info in many different options. Would you consider a run of videos on different mic options? I would enjoy learning more about all the different mic options. Everything from desk mic, xlr mic, and all the different mics that attach to our music headsets.
The new background is so good. Looking buff too! haha
Love the video dude! Looks like you're getting fit! Keep it up!
Thanks for doing these reviews for the rest of us big head guys, got alot of cranium but too much empty space inbetween to know which cans are good or not
Always enjoy takes brotha. And the beard it’s always on point. 🤙🏻🍻
wow straight to the point on all important factors, respect my dude!
very good and informative video you earned yourself a new subscriber
lets go the music and pace of this video was awesome
Quality content, over and over. I love this channel ! Thank you :)
Thank you so much!
I for one, love your audio stuff and wish you'd do more, especially blue tooth. If ever we get Panda killer with better head padding so it isn't painful and which also interfaces well with PC and meeting apps, I want to know, regardless of price. Heaven forbid it has a killer mic and on headset dual channel control.
Always makes my day hearing lets go
Great video as always, still the best voice and beard in youtube! The type of mic on these is a perfect case to use Nvidia broadcast on if you don't like push to talk, aaand if you if you have a 20 or 30 series Nvidia gpu. I've been using Nvidia broadcast with it, and it works like a charm! ^^
I see you finalmouse flex ;) hope yours fairs better than my hades.
Mine is small what’s yours?
@@shiion6711 Same! Going though the warranty process right now for the right mouse button :'(
@@proximal43 oh what happened? My mouse 1 just super stiff
@@shiion6711 after about a week of use it developed a grinding feel and began to stick.
All these problems yet I still need 1
thx for the review!! I have an Arctis 7 wireless, checks all the boxes for me. Especially for the price range.
Nice review. The big problem I have with my Arctis Pro Wireless Bluetooth is that after using Bluetooth, even when I turn Bluetooth off, the volume wheel on the headset wants to adjust Bluetooth volume. Disconnecting and reconnecting the base station seems to make it go back to adjusting the 2.4 GHz volume like I want it to, but I'm not sure what the "official" way is supposed to be.
yo, this man needs subs fr. Great vids my guy.
Good to hear your Arctis Pro Wireless (APW) are still going strong after 3 years. I am transitioning from the Astro A50 Gen 3 that I have had since 2017. The base on the A50 connects intermittently to my PC and it is getting worse and also the battery needs to changed since it is not holding a charge long. I was considering the APW but there are numerous posts on the web with pictures showing the mounting point of the head band at the ear cup (speaker) being cracked in as little as 1.5 years. Reading and seeing those pictures gives me pause before spending $349 (current price at Best Buy) for the APW. I tried the Corsair Virtuoso XT but like you I have a large / wide head and find them to be uncomfortable. I was not a big fan of the shallow sound of the stock or out of the box EQ setting. Surprisingly when I used the Dolby Access and incorporated my own EQ setting I found I liked the Virtuoso XT sound. Great review.
Great review. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind: 1. How much of sound quality difference between these and the Audeze Penrose? 2. Will you be reviewing the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal? Thanks.
What’s the best entry level board for gaming. I want to get into the custom keyboard market but idk what a good setup would be such as switch choice and acoustics. Other wise great video
High quality content. Keep it up
I just boughtem and I really like that feature connecting to my phone for music and available to hear ps4 at the same time
the draw of wireless convenience is real. I have a Schiit stack on my desk with Sundaras, but still find myself wearing the G Pro X wireless pretty often.
let me know when you upgrade to the Reggie Watts fuck shit stack
Bruh now your making me regret my decisions. No joke I bought the G Pro X Wireless, returned bc of the mute button, got the Arctis 7, and then got DT770 Pros.
Love the Videos and reviews. I'll check out the documentary channel as well. Can you rank these headsets based on sidetone? I prefer a well delivered sidetone, then audio, then wireless, etc... Or straight up which ones have sidetone that's too low in volume. - thanks
Looking forward to your review of the Matrix Mini-i 3, Brian!
Hi there! Awesome video man! have two questions?? First question is can I use the Virtuoso XT for my Xbox Series X console? On Best Buy for “compatibility” says PS5/PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Mobile. I don’t see anything for Xbox Series X. Second question is can I save the EQ Preset settings from software onto the headset? That way I can use them on my Xbox Series X when playing games.
Nice video dude! Keep it up! Thanks!
As usual, I love the review. I'm curious what size head Brian has, as I don't really have any issues with the Virtuoso's myself. Then again, I don't make these big brain reviews so I can imagine there's a difference. I've used the Arctis 7 before I switched to the Corsair Virtuoso. I miss the 'volume mixer' concept of the Arctis where Chat and Game audio are two separate devices, and I really appreciate that being mentioned in the review! Why don't all headsets have this? The build quality of the Virtuoso is on a different level, and especially after using the Arctis for a few months I noticed the elastic headband was starting to stretch. You can readjust it up to a certain extent but I found it to be less comfortable somehow. I don't see that being a problem for the Virtuoso's though.
Just picked up a pair of 670's on Cell's recc. I also have a G502 Lightspeed. Had the noise issue, updated the headset and the dongle firmware and the noise was still there. Decided to change USB ports to a separate header.. bingo noise gone. Might want to give it a try.
@Badseed Tech how do you keep all the colourful lights from overexposure. Trying to do a similar lighting style in my streams but all I have is a Logitech Brio and a warm coloured desk lamp. Send help.
Great video man!
@5:10 you mention the lack of secondary audio driver. I can't find any headsets that have this feature. But I'm also wondering why you would need it given the software solutions available.
Well crap! I’ve been looking to swap out my BD MMX300 with these, but since my head size is in the higher end of the scale, I might have a problem. Any chance you have tried the MMX 300, and can tell me how they are sizewize compared to the XT?
Hey Brian, out of curiosity, does your Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless have any audible white noise/hissing sounds? I just received my 3rd replacement and they've all had it. Just not too sure if I've been super unlucky with a bad batch or that's just the flaw with this particular headset.
Still one of the best looking headsets on the market imo the only downside is still the lack of support for the bigger heads out there overall i still love mine great vid :)
I have a larger head. My ears were touching. So, I printed some adapters for other pads, and now my ears don't touch.
is this better than the h3 pro hybrid from epos? im choosing between the 2 because i really need that bluetooth connection
Love the comparisons, makes it different, cool video!
Thanks!
@@badseedtech I know the algorithm is not doing u any favorite but keep working hard🥺 u have some great content
How long are we going to have to wait for that lcd-x review?
Thank You for this video! I was about to buy them, but just to confirm you're saying i can;t have both inputs coming through? So i couldn't have discord coming through on bluetooth on my phone and my game audio over wireless from my laptop?
Actually, I think he's saying the XT does that *better* than any other headset.
New outro sounds good
Lots of "broken arctis pro wireless" posts on reddit. The hinge mechanism of the ear cup seems to be the issue. Mine has been working just fine for months though. Still the best set out there imo.
Great review as always sir! Out of curiosity what's your go to gaming headset regardless of wires?
If its wired, its not a headset at all. Its a dac/amp stack with the DT 1990 Pro. Wireless though? Most of the time I reach for the Arctis Pro Wireless or the HyperX Cloud II if I don’t need console chat.
@@badseedtech most definitely! I figured you knew what I meant lol. I'm usually rocking the tygr 300 R's with a schiit heresy and gsx 1000(mostly for easy switching to speakers). I love the tygr's but been itching to try something new. I'll probably look to the DT 1990 Pro next.
Did they keep the same exact size headband or was it increased in size?
I remember when you had like 15k subs and always started with "whats really good"
Ahhh the old days. I’m going to slowly whittle away every catchphrase until there’s none left.
Hi does this headset play dolby atmos on the xbox series x?
What order would you put the blackshark v2 pro, cloud 2 wireless and g pro wireless
I wanna know if it's just me or does his voice make you more calm?
It’s true, his voice works magic.
Just a reassuring voice of reason.
I catch up on Badseed vids before going to bed for this exact reason
What you like more between blackshark v2 pro and cloud 2 wireless
That tpain auto tune segment is still one of my favorite KZhead clips of all time!
Ooh, finally something that can replace my Steelseries AWP. Penrose have mixing issues, and the EPOS Sennheiser GSP 670 can't play sound from the bluetooth and wireless at the same time. But this one seems to be a good replacement for the AWP. EDIT: Wait, AWP built like a tank?! You must have gotten absurdly lucky, I've had them break on me after 1 year of usage, replaced them, then a year later, now, they're breaking again. Cups detaching from the headband is a well known issue. A lot of people are complaining about it.
make a video of the best big head guy headphones at different price points lol. The XT fits ok but the headband isn't nearly as comfortable as the blackshark or cloud
Thank you for the review, I just purchased these yesterday but I haven’t used them yet. I believe I made a wise choice in this purchase.
I see that you posted the comment a month ago. Could you tell me how is your experience with the headset, especially the ear pads? I bought the SE version a little while ago and I couldn't wear the headset for more than 30min because it started to hurt my ears, so I was wondering if the issue is resolved with the XT model
Does the Arctis Pro Wireless cause hair dents and if it does, the dent be less severe than with a headset like this? Asking for a friend.
does RGB work while using bluetooth? can it be controlled or is it static white or with pallet of colors or what was previously set up by iCUE on PC?
Had this headset for awhile now on my ps4 and it’s worked perfectly love it. UNTIL All of a sudden now any time someone speaks in the party chat there’s this weird crackling/staticky noise and it’s not going away. I’ve looked up some trouble fixes and none have worked for me, I guess im going to have to call which sucks
Comments for the algorithm gods. Ended up buying the previous version bcs of you. Just had to get after market ear pads. Game changer
I'm laughing...:) Thanks for making me smile today. Was having a rough day.
Always happy to help. 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Stay up, man - its rough out there.
We are still waiting for your audeze lcd x review ! Whens that gonna happen?
Good review. Just picked these up for $199.
You really need to check out the SteelSeries arctic 9 next cause I feel like those are probably just slightly better than the xt. I'm mentioning this because I have any seen you talk about the arctis 9 but you did talk about the arctic pro which u said had a detriment to where the volume was on the dock and not the ear cups. The last thing is that none of the combo Bluetooth headsets have 2 sets of mics which i feel like is definitely implementable that i feel u can mention. THis is because what if i wanna take this out make these my outdoor headset and having that mic kinda stic out is just not worth it. Some people can and will prefer to have ALL their stuff be done off the one headset. Imagine if it had built-in mics and the detachable I could totally wear these out ona commute.
My issue with corsair though, is their software and many issues i have with the previous virtuoso. It decided to just stop connecting to the 2.4Ghz dongle completely, making it unusable and the tech support did not help at all
I think you should try reviewing the arctis 9, since it has Bluetooth but is only 200 dollars
Fun fact, my m30x marketed as 20khz can push past 23khz, I couldn't tell you how far past that since I do not have any program that can play that high and my hearing completely stops sometime after that but I've had experience with a pair that did cut out around 14k Also most audio ever put in music is usually ranging from 0-16khz not 20khz, it rarely ever reaches that point
I just bought these for PS5 do i have to put the dongle in the front of the PS5 or can i put it in the back?
I swear badseed always has a good outfit on every video
Great video!
What would you recommend for like an audiophile gaming headset I don’t need a mic with a headset I was looking at the sennhriser HD58x they’re on sale right now trying to upgrade my cloud 2s
I was also thinking of the hd58x and the Phillips shp9500. I ended up going with the shp9500 so I could buy a schiit stack. They should arrive tomorrow sometime.
I previously used bluetooth Bowers and Wilkins for everything but I was having some issues with games cutting out recently so I decided to look for a dedicated gaming headset. I ended up going for the Corsair XT and I'm happy with them. I loved the old Steelseries Pro but have never been that impressed with the newer Arctis line, I owned a couple of pairs and they were pretty flat sounding with really crap options for EQ in the software. I already have iCue installed for my case components so I ended up going Corsair instead. I also tried the Logitech Wireless Pro X, the microphone is awful and the audio quality isn't particularly good.
Yeah all the SteelSeries sound terrible at every price point. I think I'm going to get one of these next as they seem to have everything going for them except if you have big ears as the cups are a little small, but for me it's not an issue.
SteelSeries are dog shit. I was lucky they failed with in 11 months. I was then able to repair my old Corsair virtuoso rgb which is got a failing battery and both eye pads have come off. 3 years 8 hours a day I which I used for work I feel nice on my head.
Did I miss in a video somewhere that you talked about custom shells for the Model O Wireless?
Ages ago and wasn’t a big fan of the quality or the price
@@badseedtech Ah not sure how I missed it but that's disappointing. The regular white shell isn't bad but, it doesn't bring much to the table though.
how THE FUCK is possible that the quality of your videos keeps improving at this rate?! You rock, Brian
Tysm bro 👊🏼
So if I understand correctly there is no option between balancing Discord and game audio on this one?
keyboard coverage is awesome but vids on other tech is great too
You can connect your phone to Bluetooth and discord to control the volume with the virtuoso xt.
I have had these for 2 yrs or so why when i turn on the bluetooth mode on the headset and pair to my iPhone or iPad to listen to music or watch Netflix sometimes not all the times they disconnect from my phone or ipad after 10 minutes of listening to music or watching Netflix they disconnect from my phone or ipad the usb dongle is connected to my ps5 i do have AirPods but sometimes i forget to recharge my airpod that my corsair xt are my back bluetooth headset to pair to my phone or ipad the only time they don’t disconnect is when I’m gaming on my ps5 and bluetooth my phone and while the ps5 is on and the usb dongle is connected/ps5 on i will take any advice given much appreciated it and thank you in advance
That clean zoom out? Dang my guy
It’s been out for a long time now. People keep saying the sound sucks but the design is so good
Hyper x cloud worries are the best choice personally. Better priced, way comfortable, it didn’t have Bluetooth but 2.4 ghz connection is more reliable anyway
I own this headset and it’s the best I’ve ever had
what the artic are not built like a tank in under 2 years ive gone through 2 of them RMA free of charge they crack near the swivel
Virtuoso XT or BlackShark V2 PRO?
Why there is Anatel seal inside, is it from Brasil?
what about the volume??
I know they are in a different price range but you have to give credit to the GPRO X wireless, it punches above its weight to be fair. i know you mention them at the end of the video but i think they are almost in the league of some of the other mentions TBH
I guessed I now know the reason why I can't simply let go of my Arctis. it really is a well-rounded can~
Have the SE, have owned everything from Sennheiser to arctis, vmoda boom pro, antlion. And stand by this Corsair mic being better than them all
Just got a pair for a real good price, was wondering how these compare to the arctis 9 wireless. Personally I love the corsairs but the Bass response just doesn't seem all there truthfully. Was wondering if anyone had experience with them.
These sound much better than any arctis. Arctis are terrible down low.
Comming from the plasticbomber Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum... just bought myself the Corsair Virtuoso RGB XT and it is from another world. The buildquality is outstanding and the functionality is just awesome.
Great, thorough review! Thanks! I am purchasing the Virtuoso XT soon! EDIT: The Arctis Pro, though perhaps superior in some ways, is VERY FRAGILE! The cheap plastic where the headband attaches to the headphone breaks easily and seems to be a common problem! I hope steelseries fixes that! Based on durability alone, I have to go with the Virtuoso XT, just for longevity!
Did you get the xt’s yet, if so how’d you like em?
Yeah. I had the Arctis 5. There's always seems to be a slight static every time I use the volume rocker. Started to get really annoyed after it happens every time. Had it for almost 2 years. One day I had enough of the static noise, I just tap slightly hard on both side of the drivers (where it's covered by "plastics." Then after that, the sound from behind gave out on me. I could still hear sounds from both side, but not when there's sound from behind. It's weird and it's cheaply built also.
What’s your experience on the virtuoso xt so far?
I have the VXTs, and they are amazingly good. I did buy some $17 velour earpads to try them and they are better...but the originals aren't bad. Not sure what howdy doody ears peeps have out there, but I wear them at work all day.
I bought these and they make the voice chat on Xbox have an echo and static and I haven’t found a fix
How do you turn the headset off?????
I got the se version a while ago. Watched your review, but thought since I had a smaller head and ears the comfort would be fine. IT WAS NOT FINE. I had to get brainwavs earcups within two days of owning. So painful. For that reason only I never recommend to my friends who are looking for wireless. Also it took like 15 mins to squeeze the ear pads on the cups. AND the tabs on the cups broke after about 3 months( I assume from the bigger earcups). Avoid the se version....
wait, wheres the comparison to the Blackshark Pro V2?
Sound aside, the XT is so much better fitting than the SE. The SE felt like I had a clamp on my head. The XT has a slight tightness on the top of the head band but only noticeable after several hours of gaming / watching media
