For the folks that already have got an iron and don’t want to invest in new equipment: instead of the ironing board you can use an ironing mat, which you can use on top of a table or other working spaces, if you want to even on the floor. They basically are like the insulation on top of ironing boards without the board under them. After use you can fold them up and tuck them away. Hope this helps:)
you can also iron an the bed
I bought a table top ironing board, which is way smaller
My fam had an iron towel great for small city apartments just iron right on the kitchen counter
I love this mats! I live in a studio and I have to iron my shirts almost daily and this has been a life saver 😇
I saw one for the vet first thing this past week. It's wonderful!! I just lost my mother, and have an opportunity to get her iron and board. Maybe I'll keep just the iron and invest in the mat. SO, Thank you for bringing it back up.
that modular couch is genius & using your suitcase as storage is such a smart idea! :)
Love your modular couch. Brilliant idea💡! Looks sooo comfy too. Where did you purchase it from?😊
Yes where did you buy it please
I've been using my suitcase for storage for years.
1) Tension rods are rental-friendly and make use of vertical space for storage. 2) You could look into natural cleaning agents as well to reduce the amount of different detergents you buy. Most people only need three: baking soda, citric acid, sodium percarbonate. Vinegar, which most people already have, could be useful as well.
Wow I’m in NYC and even this is small to me but I love how you make use of all your space. Love this series ❤
Ahh thank you so much! I'll keep the videos coming for sure! ❤️
There’s smaller
Yeah, British housing is tiny, even the actual houses
I live in a one bedroom flat. My flat is a nice size but my bedroom is more of a rectangle shape. Because of the narrow shape a full size bed would have taken up a lot of the walking space of the bedroom. Thankfully when I mentioned ordering a bed my landlord suggested I order a small double. I’d never heard of a small double. It fits perfectly. The only thing is most linen companies do not sell small double bed linens. The duvet fits fine but the sheets are always to big. So I tuck most of the sheet on the side of the bed I do not enter.
Why go to all that effort to get a small double sized bed if you actually don't use one side? Why not just have a single bed in that case?
@@DreamingWithEyesWide please read. I said I only enter the bed from one side. No matter the size bed you have most people slide into bed from one side. And ordering a small double took no more of an effort than ordering any other size bed. I just hit the order button.
@@travelchic3407I never heard of a small double. If I had, I would have ordered one. I now have a twin bed propped up against a wall to save space.
@@annt7384 I’d never heard of a small double until my landlord’s suggestion. Glad I listened. It’s a good size. Narrow enough to save space but big enough for two
You can order online small double bed sheets.I ordered from eBay:)
Finally a video that shows practical solutions for those of us who have tiny city spaces. I am empty nester but I have a large family who occasionally spends a few nights. The linens alone take up lots of room. Suitcases, bins under beds, etc. I really appreciate the minimal organized look of your space.
Tension curtain rods could be used in the cleaning cupboard for more storage at the top. Might be a place to keep reusable shopping bags, a re-purposed box for cleaning rags, the extra rolls of paper, etc…
Love you Maddie!!🥰🥰 Can’t wait to watch another amazing video and weave your advice into my life!!!! You and Theo have a great week and enjoy your small flat!
Was so pleased to see your new video pop up today! Love all your tips for making the most of wherever you live 😁 Your new mattress sounds great too. Looking forward to the next one 👍💕
Thank you so much! I'm moving from 800 sqft -> 668 sqft and it's so helpful to look through this video. I'm taking notes now, I appreciate you!
Love how you utilize your space. Going to work on making labels for my containers tomorrow with my Cricut.
The tip to store items in your suitcases is GENIUS! I need to go stuff things I don't regularly use/need (such as winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter) into my suitcase! O.O
Incredible job organizing a small apartment. Perfect video! !
i recently had to ove out and i was heartbroken cause i really loved the appartment i used live in. But i saw your video and that cheared me up. Now i am kinda excited for the move out and i absolutely took notes of what you did. Thanks, girlie Great video
Love your videos, thinking of doing my room up again and will definitely be watching your old clean my room videos, they make tidying fun ☺️
Thank you love! 💕 Ahhh I feel like this video gives me a bit of a throw back vibe to the OG cleaning videos 😅
@@Macerly yeah, same here ☺️♥️
Can I suggest using your fire place as a bookshelf? If you can make a high shelf then you can put throws on it and books unders. Apartment therapy have a small flat series on KZhead and this give some ideas. Excellent though.
I love that label marker. My place is compact in Denver. And I’m a minimalist so I don’t like clutter. Love this.
I've been using those Muji drawers for about 20 years. So useful. Fantastic when moving house as you don't have to pack anything - it all just stays in the drawers. :)
The couch style makes so much sense! I just wish they came in more colors
This was such an amazing video ❤ concise and super helpful! Love it thank you
To extend the life of your mattress I suggest a nice mattress pad. I purchased mine from Dusk. It’s deep and saves the mattress. Love your tips
Great small space tips! I recently bought a steamer. I also use my suitcases to store some of my off season clothes. 😊
Been doin that 4 years
I live in a 55sm apartment and the tips you share, although thankful for bringing them up do not make much sense: 1) the boxes under the bed, really invest in a base with drawers, it will end up being the same price but easier to clean and less clutter 2) the boxes inside the wardrobe, you could extend the wardrobe til the ceiling and move trays around to create more storage space and avoiding the clutter on top 3) buy what you need, not what you want (purpose) 4) that sofa is giant... have you thought about buying a sofa with storage underneath or a sofa bed? 5) there's a big space beside your bed... what about shelves til the ceiling and your magic boxes there? 6) you could get a dinning table with an extension 7) there are small iron tables that can fit over your wardrobe (cheaper than a steamer machine) 8) buy a shoe rack there are many cute ones...
I just order a hairdryer hanger ! What a smart idea. It will be perfect for my small bathroom. Tank you for sharing! 😁
Loved everything you showed us ❤️
this was so helpful for when I get my place. Thank you
Thanks for the ideas. I was having storage issues. I couldn’t make room. It Felt like I had too much. But you helped me come up with ideas to get my place looking right.
I love your longer form content! 😊
the suitcase tip is so good!
I love your space. You kept it all white, looked seamless! Xx
love the think differently section!!
Yes, Ma'am sleep is the best investment! Thank you for your tips.
Super great video! Very relaxing and informative 👌 keep it up please 😅
You did a great job with your small space, functional and sheik!
wow this video helped me so much!!
I noticed the amount of cables and charging cables in a tangle in the crates. I bought clear plastic boxes from Wilko and also lids . they are small but contain now cables and chargers in separate ziplock bags which makes it MUCH easier to find what we need .
A foldable ironing board is really not super difficult to store. I’ve hung ours on the back of our bathroom door, have stored it in the small gap between our fridge/cabinet and have even slid it under or behind our sofa. The iron, however, just sits on top the dryer or is sometimes just stored in a random cabinet. But, _that steamer?_ Ooh, that looks sleek! It’s nice, and it looks easy to use _and_ does a wonderful job-I *wish you had linked it!* 🤓 “Speaking” of _’stored in a random cabinet,’_ I believe a lot of folks think that bathroom things *need* to be stored *in* the bathroom, or kitchen things *need* to be stored *in* the kitchen- but, really “they” don’t, do they? 😉 Showcasing that you can store items basically anywhere in an apartment is something a lot of folks, who are not “living tiny”, *don’t* _even_ think about doing in their own home! For me… “If it *fits* there-it [stored] *sits* there! ✌🏻
I love how you have kept the mindless clutter to a minimum. All the items in your home appear to be used on the regular. I like the ikea boxes with lids but I just have a weird hang up about storing stuff under me bed.
in that case, a bed with built-in drawers under it would be a better compromise for you?
@@sinkingkitchenI have a bed with built in drawers and I hate it, mainly because it’s very heavy
What a great video! Your editing is excellent.
Thank you your video was excellent even though I live in New York I live in a one-bedroom and all the ideas were perfect keep doing more videos you're good at this❤
Thank you. Very nice storage ideas. One in one out. I really like that. 🌹
Very organized place.. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for these cute, inexpensive ideas!
This was really good!
Hi, happy I found you. Great tips. Thank you 😊
Love your set up! Could you share make and model of your modular couch? Is it very firm?
Great video and I love all the tips!! I will have to put some of these to use.
Wiii! So glad! 🥰
The awkward space at the end where you have that dresser you could also do floating shelves all the way up the wall which will give more storage space and can easily be taken out when moving and fixed by patching the small screw holes and repainting white
Your channel has been impactful and relevant to the huge life events happening in my life, thank you. Where did you buy the modular sofa?
I loved the storage boxes idea under the bed.. I live in London so I feel you 😂
Love your modular sofa.
This was such a helpful video! Thank you! However, I would love to know how you store your laundry..
Lots of great ideas! Thx! 🙂
You should get a clothing rack! My life changed when I got a few of them. Lol over the toilet cabinet is also great. Adding shelves to the bathroom would also give you more space. Do you guys have a Dollar Tree?
We purchased shelf sets made for under vanities which have sliding racks that make room for pipes. Now we have three levels of things stored in there.
Hi Maddie, was wondering where you got your shelving unit with doors? Thanks so much for the tips!
for the awkward corner you could put there shelves above the wardrobe for some extra storage or put a tall cabinet instead
This video was so helpful💯
i love emma so much. we have emma everything! plus you can actually wash everything 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I inherited a round table that had 2 folding leaves on either side so that it folded down to a small rectangle that was almost flat to the wall and it was so handy in our first house with a kitchen/ diner . We replaced it when we moved to a bigger house with a separate dining room but saely you don't see them around these days .
Thankyou for the tips
I recommend making DIY cleaners and/or using cleaning concentrates where you add water. They take up zero space. Get spray versions of those bathroom bottles and use those for cleaning. Better yet, get the glass and silicon ones - better for the environment.
These are such good tips!!
Felt great idea!!
love your apartment
I think what frustrates me is that typically I’d use space under the bed for storage but we don’t have a real bed right now. So thats kinda hard 😭 Until we get an actual bed frame, I’m trying to find spots for extra space.
One of my bug bears is people having loads of extra cleaning products that never get used, partly because I feel like they always make a mess and spill but also because its so unenvironmentally friendly!
another great tip is if you want to store blankets or out of season clothing or just rotate your clothes, are vacuum sealed bags
Love your sofa and dining table! Do you mind sharing where you bought them? 😍 Thanks!!
Sofa is Noa Home and table is Sklum! 🥰
@@Macerly thank you so much, Macerly ❤️
You should try vertical folding for even better management of your space
I love it.. great ideas :)
I'm going from a 5bd 3bath home to a 2bd 2bath apartment. I agree with what you said, I do have a lot of stock cleaning products, to, paper towels and water bottles. So I will have to stop doing that! 😅😅
Hello there, where did you buy the kitchen table chairs
What is the small side table next to your bed called? It was from Ikea right? I love it!
Ohhh like the steamer
For bathrooms/toilets, you can always get those toilet paper stacking things that you place on the ground next to the toilet for an easy grab
hey Maddie! sorry if i missed it - please could you tell me where you bought your sofa from?
I love this sofa! What is it?
How was your experience with installing the frame tv?
Great tips for modern urban living spaces
Great ideas . Where is the shelving unit from ?
I would love to hear where people fit their winter coats? I have no room to hang them anywhere in the summer and big coats don’t fit in boxes/ putting a wool coat in a box is not great for the fabric 😢 She used a suitcase but I would love to hear other ideas 😊
Wow, filling up the empty suitcase, was an eye opener for me! 🙈
Omg u linked them all. Herooo
0:12 I always thought my past 75sqm apartment in Rio’s city was small (we were 3 people living in there)… We monthly paid around R$2500 (currently 473,54USD) and it was a private condo with pool, an open gym (for playing soccer and wtv), a playground for tiny kids, a garage (maximum of 1 car per apartment), a place for barbecue (bc most Brazilians love barbecue, which’s not my case lol), a small but nice sized ballroom (for birthdays and wtv you wanna do) and security system/ guards! But (before fellow cariocas reply my comments 😂) I know this is SUCH a deal for such a big city (now I live in another city in the state of Rio, so we pay less for a house bigger than our previous apartment, the same way ppl from other countries living in big cities would pay a lot for tiny spaces meanwhile ppl of smaller cities might pay the same, or less, for bigger spaces)!!
Want that couch, where did you by it 🤩❣️
command hooks are helpful
Im also a minimalist. Love it ❤️ you can also prob downsize even more.. 🙃
I use the bin with wheels. Really keeps dust out. Those have handle holes. Dust will get into them. Especially if you got pets.
Where did you get your dining chairs? :)
Hi! Love the videos :) where did you get the deep boxes at 2:23? Thank you!
Linked in the description box ❤️
The mattress looks tempting.
loved the tips! what is the exact brand for the vertical laundry airer please? the one in the link is not as good looking :)
Ours is from Argos ❤️
Where is the sweater from? ❤
Where's the sweater ur wearing (at the beginning the white one) from? great tips!! :)
where did you get your blu and green sweather?
Very cool flat.
Really nice apartment.
Where did you get those pencil trays in the bookshelf
Love your couch! Where is it from? Couldnt find in description
