    • Not really. There are better players that belong to the category that you are referring to. She just exerts more strength on smashes that's all. Nothing spectacular.

      @waykee33@waykee33 Жыл бұрын
    • Once you get used to the way a spinning ball must fly projecting the path becomes instinctual. Physics never lies. But yes, she is good and understands that a good crisp smash has a force vector that overwhelms any residual torque that light little ball can transmit. It is a soft return shot that gets you in trouble with spin shots.

      @dennisdose5697@dennisdose5697 Жыл бұрын
    • she's an excellent player for sure, i'd guess she's probably rated probably around 2300, but her style gives her a big advantage against adam... she hits a very flat forehand, relatively soon off the bounce, and uses her excellent reach very well, so adam's crazy spin game is pretty much totally negated. he really had to play a much more orthodox defensive style against her here, and while it's never easy to beat him, she had more than enough. she's good at controlling her emotions too, because early in the match she started to get flustered, but just bore-down on her game and ended that.

  • You can see that her forehand spin vs side + backspin is so nice, that she entirely converts his spin into her spin, letting the ball come so high for the smash directly afterwards. Nice touch!

    @philipps258@philipps2585 ай бұрын
  • She plays some of the most beautiful open style table tennis I have ever seen. Technically brilliant, no traps, no tricks, just plain, pure aggression. Her footwork is excellent, her backhand smash the best I've ever seen. When Adam tries to conter her aggressive style, there is no chance for him, she's way too fast. Only with his extreme spin stuff he can break her. But after she realised that it's no holidays in the first set, she geared up a bit. Still, Adam is incredibly good with his extreme spins, very difficult to predict.

Beaware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. "Many events, including ecological upheavals, wars, the schism in My Church on Earth, the dictatorships in each of your nations - bound as one, at its very core - will all take place at the same time." • Thanks to both of you for doing this and posting it. Great fun to watch, and brings back wonderful memories. (I played at a pretty high level about 50 years ago.) Anastasiiia, your greatest strength is offense. Adam's greatest strength is defense. Here is a strategic adjustment you might try: When you have driven Adam deep into his forehand, instead of simply driving it to the same place but harder, which increases your chances of making an error, go deep crosscourt into his backhand. You could do that and take some of the pace off the ball, reducing your percentage of errors, and yet making it even harder for Adam to return. In summary, take a bit more advantage of placement and force him to move deeper into opposite corners. That will set him up to be the one making errors. . If you try this, let us know how it goes. Keep up the great work.

I even had my own table at home where me and my brother would play. Watching this makes me want to play again, too bad none of my friends know how to play table tennis.

However, when you play, you play. 3:35 there was a net serving from Anastasia, but then you continued. • I don't think it will matter that the next rematch (if there was really going to be a rematch) will involve a venue with higher ceiling. She has Adam's game figured out. She flat hits hard. That means two things. One, Adam does not have the opponent's spin to work with. When the opponent loops or does a loop skill, Adam can use that spin against the opponent. It is like if you serve a very spinning serve, the return will be come back very spinning as well to you. You have to be ready for it. So Anastasiia, by flat hitting only, takes away a lot of spins that would have otherwise come back to bite her. Then her flat hits are very fast so Adam does not have time to snake and put weird spins on it. Then if Adam switches to a more conventional style of playing, she is a better, more consistent higher rated looper/player. Either way, it is hard for Adam to win. I am sure Adam will win some matches but more likely than not, Anastasiia has Adam's number.

  • Played a pretty good game 40 years ago, don't think think I ever played a good lefty. She spreads her smashes across the table pretty well, Adam seems more classic corner to corner. I always liked to set people up with a couple cross court shots and then switch corners, same arm motion, just a little change in paddle angle. She has a balanced game, forehand and backhand, and you definitely don't want to be sloppy on service to Ana, she will make you pay. Adam seems very reliant on his ability to rescue a shot from far back, that falls apart against a player with a versatile direction attack like Ana. Fun to watch.

  • Yes, I would definitely like to see a rematch in a tournament type of venue. It’s interesting to see these two vastly different styles. Anastasia is very quick, hits it hard, and gets Adam in some bad spots. And Adam’s wacko spins from afar that seem to always find the table are fun to see, but Anastasia seems to track and smash them back. He will have to find more offense instead of relying on edge shots. Lots of great long rallies, so very fun. I’m rooting for Anastasia. She is way better looking! Sorry Adam.
