Note about the dragons: Ice and Fire males will have spotted wings while females won't. Females also have curvier horns. Lighting dragon males will have subtle lighting pattern on their wings. and a note from my expirance: when you attack stage 4 or 5 dragon underground they can chase you BUT they are capable of destroying block. If they aren't very deep under, they can dig to the surface and fly. It's handy to have an ender pearl to quickly teleport to the higher ground . Other than this I very enjoyed the video and Im happy to hear about possible future updates :)
The lightning males have a purple edge on there wings too.(Edit) All lightning dragons have the lightning patterns
Fun fact: if you petrify a mob with the Medusa(or gorgon as it’s named in the mod) head you can pick the stone mobs up with a silk touch pickaxe

All-time mod I've heard, as a general design critique that I also have of mojang, I think saphires and amethysts should be merged. You could just have to kill a dragon of the right type for its scales, and combine that with a amethyst for a summoning crystal. Whenever you can cut down on waste by keeping individual items more feature-heavy, like how goats are wasteful since sheep and cows exist, although the knockback is a cool feature and if I made the game I'd make it so you can shear hoof keratin one time which can be used to give weapons a higher tier of knockback. Make it clear its not coming from the horns, I've heard bad things about horn shearing on cows, lbut hoof's have to be for domestic goats. This is a big criticism of vanilla copper. Sapphires could for example be used, just like in real life but with a fantasy asthetic, for a new type of magical lighting, shimmering high-durability glass that wont melt or explode, and new enchantments added by the mod that maybe wears out over time on top of decorative block(s), making the saphire always a good thing instead of only good if you want to summnon one type of dragon. Add saphires to your armor, bejewel yourself for some benefit. Real life saphire armor can shatter bullets, so maybe it has some arrow resistance and is translucent.
It'd be cool iof Blocks of Sapphire could be crafted into Light Level 15 Blue Light Lamps... maybe Block of Sapphire + Block of Glowstone + a Silver Nugget in each corner (for a Silver Frame)...?

I love the idea of this mod and Ive played A LOT of the 1.16 version but i found some things that deter me from playing again. First of all the majority of the models feel buggy, not having smooth and natural moves but rather flapping and spasming around. Second of all, mobs like hydras, sirens, cyclops, dragons and sea snakes are WAAAAAY too common to face. Ive had to tone everything down by a significant amount in order for my game to be playable. The sea snakes litteraly jump out of the water and chase you on land, even if you are not prepared they can instakill you. Ive had to encounter sea snakes almost every single time ive gotten on a boat. All these things make the mod almost unplayable for me and i really hope the developers have fixed at least a majority of these issues for the 1.18 release. As i said before, i love the idea of this mod and all power to the developers for their hard work but in my personal opinion, these issues are way to serious not to be dealt with.

you can config spawn rates. but the laggy animation bothers me too
You can configure the spawns and even blacklist some from the overworld, so you could just put the dragons in the nether or something. Also I believe the flying animations were improved in the 1.18 port. Or at least the flying itself was improved. Feels much better than the 1.16 version.

Mod has amazing content and lots of great looking armors. My only gripe with it is the stupidly overpowered weapons it adds.

A good/passible way to tame an amphithere is to smack a villager within their range, then when it comes to attack you, jump on its back.

it really needs a new dragon like a earth dragon and in 1.12.2 you only get ice and fire dragons in 1.16.5 you get the lightning dragon and the other 2 and in 1.20.1 you should get all of them with a new dragon the earth dragon
I love this mod so much cause you can get the most Badass armour ever in minecraft. The Dragon Steel. The process of achieving it is worth amazing dragon blood, bones, heart, furnace, and tamed dragon...it's just feels legendary And making Dragonsteel Armour and weapons giving the best enchancement ever for it. Macahuitl = mak+kua+wheat; muck+wha+wheat. To be as close to the pronunciation, the "l" is silent at the end... The clicking sound of the "tl" is very subtle. You try to "hiss" the "tl" instead.

you have to go in the configs and change the spawns
BadMobs mod. Then go to it's config, find the part where it shows Ice and Fire mobs since it automatcally adds them, then change the natural spawn to false. Easy Peasy
