On the topics of intros, Alex Anele almost never has one, and someone once commented, “I feel like we’re her annoying friends she just kind of tolerates and I am here for it,” and I feel like that is a whole mood. Lol
Honestly the first thing that made your channel different from everyone else’s to me is the fact that you don’t repeat your intro word for word each video (it begin becomes very noticeable when you binge watch someone’s channel) and I was like “hey, I like this. This is different” I wish intros seemed more genuine and welcoming like yours is. I love that it doesn’t sound like a script every time.

the rituel de fille is amazing. my favorite skin tint/foundation at age 45. matches my skin and undertone, doesn’t feel like anything on my skin. finally! it’s fantastic.

Yeah, the jungle-safari themed color stories are really trending right now. Kinda nice change from the warm browns with a pop of( turquoise) blue Mediterrean color story that is usually released for Summer. Glad to see more creative takes on "neutrals" even tho none of these palettes interest me. Btw, if you'd like some neutral multichrome singles, I highly recommend checking out Terra Moons. When all those multichrome palettes were coming out last year, I was inspired to make my own multichrome companion palette from singles I purchased from Terra Moons since most of the pre made palettes had colors I would never use.
Terra Moons Hyperion is one of my all-time favorite shades. It's a gray-based multichrome that shifts from the coolest earthy pink to bronze to olive, all with a washed-out quality and a satin finish. It's offbeat and so special!

This safari-style eye palette trend is very mid-70s to me; my sister had lion/;leopard art all over her apt. and my mom had a cheetah-print bedspread, animal print clothes, and these earthen colors were all over the makeup table. People think the 70s were only blue lids or wild colors, but at the disco and at the office, browns & rusty shades and gold were hot for summer, as well as a bit of navy, grey, silver if you were into the nautical style. I was only a tween in '76 but I saw what my sisters and their friends and such wore. TBH, the tawny trend then really messed me up-- took a long time to stop wanting to be golden gloriously bronze. However, I'd still love that ND palette and of course the Halberg!

Shade 105 is olive! I'm a fair olive, and it gets "more green" as it is rubbed/blended into the skin. For context, SNY Sneaky Balm in NC13 is a perfect match for my skin. Shade 105 is a damn good match on my skin.
Keep doing the intros. Yours are always a pleasure to listen to because you are so uniquely you. Other KZheadrs tend to do more generic or scripted intros that I generally skip through. Likely why it seems the trend it is dying out. Don't be like them. Keep forging your own path.

I duped the vibes of the MD pallet and I LOVE it 🥰 And it cost me nothing. 6 months into my no buy and I’m not even … fussed 🤷♀️ I’ve continued to dupe the vibes all year and I’ve not been remotely tempted by new pallets. I have all the colours. All all the finishes. All the textures. And after your video where you mixed and layered your eyeshadow I’ve been doing the same to create new colours. Chanel rosy glow isn’t available yet in the US and I’m sooooooo frustrated! I am pretty sure now Canada has it so closer! I asked Chanel and couldn’t get a date. They only said “soon”. I’m guessing mid-June but who knows. I’m told it will release in the US and I’m also very excited!!!! ❤

I'm an og stan of this channel. I literally watched your first episode the day/day after it came out and have kept watching throughout the years. I've so enjoyed watching the evolution of your channel, as you transitioned from yearly themes to video series like this one, and I look forward to what is to come. That being said; I don't follow you for your adherence to the trends. I follow you for your authenticity, including your intros. For me, the intros often end up being enjoyable, just as much as the "meat of the video" as you have said. It is an aspect of your presence here on KZhead that has been consistent from the very beginning, and there's a comfort to that. They feel almost like a prelude to a novel, or maybe an authors note. A different way to tell the story, or a way to tell a different portion. Obviously at the end of the day your channel is your livelihood, and it needs to appeal to viewers. I will continue to watch and support your journey as your channel continues to evolve, intros or no intros, and I'm sure many others will agree with me. You have shifted the way I view the acquiring of new things, wants vs. needs, personal style, and so many other things, all by being your authentic self, intros and all. Thank you.

The website verbiage describe it as “very fair with neutral to olive undertones.” Say what?! It kinda looks like they just tacked “olive” onto the description of a yellow foundation. Please don’t get rid of your introductions!! Your videos are a time that is separate from the rest of my days and your intros cement them as an “event” rather than as something that i’m just stumbling across (like so many videos on this accursed website) Your pace of delivering thoughts isn’t the same as most youtubers, but you shouldn’t try and make it that way. Also I when I first started watching your videos I thought I would quickly tire of you introducing yourself in every video, however there’s something very reassuring and not at all annoying about they way you present your introductions. I think it’s because you yourself are never annoyed to be introducing yourself - there’s no “if you don’t know who I am get with the program” vibe at all, and even though you have your standard points you aim to deliver about yourself “not promoting overspending etc,” it never feels like a tired script. Your oratory skills are just amazing okay 🥹 Sorry for the essay, please keep your intros, I’m done now!

I so agree about the eyeshadow trend! The pop of acid yellow/green is extending into other palettes beyond the desert inspired shades too.
I see a resemblance with the Yucca & Safari palettes to my Urban Decay mini in Foxy with the earthy olive and yellow greens with green toned beige and brown. UD Foxy skips the orange tones which I can’t wear. Beautiful soft take on some fresh neutrals. I usually wear it in the fall along with my khaki and cranberry tones. I’ll dupe the feel of the ND Yucca and the Nomad Safari palette with my UD Foxy. Save $! AND save space in my minimalist makeup collection.
Haaannaaahhhhh!!! your intro is the perfect amuse bouche before we get into the MEAT of the video. please don't change it! it's so calming and centering before videos about new releases or trends, because inevitably there are products/styles that intrigue and merit discussion (or even coveting). Your intro calms the make up Gollum in my brain that thinks everything could be the precious.
