I think this is not very reasonable, why don't we just let the new couple do it in circles like that
Would love to try the products Ty
rest in peace to the Jordan mid that sacrificed its life to make this possible
I have the same Jordan mids as the ones he used for the sole and swoosh replacements. It kinda hurt to watch ngl LOL
😖😖😖🤣🤣🤣HILARIOUSLY HILARIOUS🤪🤪🤪😵😵😵
Akhand chutiyapa hai purane Jordan ko banane ke liye new ko kurban kar diya
The old Jordan have a sentimental value to the owner . So the sacrifice is justified.
Chill bro they are fake
whenever I feel stress with life, its always feel calm, ease and satisfying watching all these restoration works. Great work as usual.
Of course, a tremendous amount of work has been done, but does it make sense to use new sneakers as a donor for old ones? Unclear...
yeah, makes. A bred jordan 1 is fuckng massive in price
That’s the purpose
The older the shoe the more value. In this case these are bred 1s absolutely necessary. They are worth about 5 pairs or more of what that donor pair is.
Foolish
Better to dye new pair white portion with black dye all was done
Correction by @DashDrones: For the ones that don't know, these are 2001 retro bred/banned Jordan 1s, Chicago Bulls colors referred to as the... you guessed it.... "Jordan The Chicagos", they range from 300-2k depending on condition and release date. These did loose a little value because of the restoration requiring new soles and swoosh. But still, a wonderful job.
Thank you. That's exactly what I was wondering.
Thanx..i was wondering why some1 would buy a new pair to fix an old 1
This world is full of stupid people
how much did it cost to restore them?
@@DashDrones Thank you for the correction!
I have to admit, on the first few seconds of the video I was like man, it ain't no WAY😭that was incredible! your precision and all the effort, it's amazing. And I love all the underwater shots. You are a great talent-must have been a cobbler in a previous life.
The skill required on this restoration is second to none. Amazing job!!
The Who’s first?
@@aquafishsoup second to none means first lol
wow
@@JD______ nope. first is none. He has really good skills. None for the presideent!!!
Amazing skill, good job
I used to wear those old school Jordan, when I was at school, it is a pleasure to see the restoration. Thank you for posting !!!
if you mean your the doner of that pair then that’s cool.
😂😂😂
Amazing work!💯
Amaze! Thank you bro!!
Such reverence , patience and care paid during restoration to this iconic silhouette. Big salute to you 👑✅
I can't believe I actually watched the whole video, I'm glad I did I appreciate the time and effort you put in ,to remake this shoe 👟👟 this was awesome 👍🔥🔥🔥
Amazing work😮 bravo !
Amazing save of an iconic shoe! So great to see they had already had been loved and worn (and then some!) and now have a whole new life!
I get anxious watching this
VeTiVeR is simply the best shoe restorer and also ASMR creator on KZhead. I've been enjoying his videos for years! Love all the little tools he uses on his jobs, jobs that no cobler would undertake here in my town.
love content keep it up good luck
That’s amazing what you did there. Admittedly I’ve never watched a restoration before but I’m sure your one of the best.
OMG that's insane indeed! Well done! 🔥

Beautiful 🔥
Incrível parabéns amei👏❤️
Excelente trabajo 👍🏽. Gracias
BRILLIANT. And so mesmerizing to watch. Almost spiritual. What wonderful talent you have and the knowledge/experience you have with the tools. I just subscribed. Thank you!
One Question If the old shoes get some part replace with the new one like change it sole did the old shoes still be consider original ??
You're a hero. I'm french and fan of ur work 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
the washing machine singing to the shoes before starting is when I fell in love great job honestly great work
Unbelievable! Your most difficult, in-depth repair yet. Just an amazing job!
this is amazing
*Que buena restauración felicidades* 👌
That's a phenomenal restauration process and also a great detail to ship them to the owner on the donors box. I'm learning so much out of these restaurations. I will do a vintage Nike Legend restauration/sole swap myself in a couple of days more. I wanted to ask, in case I'm not able to find a Nike Legend sole donors, Can I use an AJ1 soles? Or maybe a pair of Dunks? I was thinking on a AF1 soles since the Legend Uppers are similar to the AF1's. I hope you or anyone can answer this question to me.
Oh man, the Legend sole swap will be tough. I don't believe the Jordan, Dunks or AF1 will work, all of those are pretty different from the 80s Legend soles in form and tread. Closest form fit might be The J's, but obviously the tread pattern will be different. I just can't think of a modern retro'ed shoe that uses that exact herringbone pattern. Good luck with your project, hope you find a good match!
Finally i always wanted shoe cleaning videos where they clean the shoes in a bucket 😌😌
when you do a restoration like this if you use different material does it become a rep
What’s the thread size you used?
RIP the new one😔
As someone who criticized your previous jordan repair videos; I can appreciate that you did a great job and can tell you researched retro jordan repairs before restoring these.
Great work because you can actually wear them !
Amazing work. I use to do my daughter's shoes. It didn't matter how old they were. If they were handed down to her younger sister then I made them look brand new.
Ever since I started watching Vetiver's videos, every calm detail in life has made sense. God bless you!
😂😂😂
I watch a lot of cobblers and shoe repairs on yt, you did an amazing job very professional restoration!!! I thought you were going to glue on the sole like all the other Nike repair guys but nope went the whole 9 and did things the right way! 🙌👏👏👏
Didn’t he glued the shoe and soles? What I’ve watched I really thought it was glue.
@@PascalCrypto yes glue was also added of course. But the important part is stitching on the sole as well for longevity!
@@Big_boom90 Oh did he meant some guys on yt don't stitch the soles on to the shoes but only glue the bottom and side? In my "world" you glue and stitch the sides on
i have an old pair that still in decent condition ( they dont have any scratches or dents ) they are the red & black ones, ( they are a remake of the very first pairs that came out ) People have told me that if i fix them i can easily sell them for like $100.00 + The soles fell of in the past, after that i tried using a glue that i bought on ebay tu put them together but i ended up taking it off because it wasnt stable enough apparently i needed a better more sofisticated one, but then the white part at the bottom of the shoe got stained with the glue and now i dont know how to take out the glue off the white part and the glue is yellow very noticeble, in some corners. i am afraid of using the brush to much and damaging the material in the white rubber. the shoes is in great condition for the years ive own it, i have them since i was 18 and now i am 32. is there any special technique or solution i can use to take off the glue without damagaing it? and also what what is the best glue for soles. Thank you in advance.
I love this knowledge
Great job on the restoration, Vetiver. I'm impressed with your skillset, once again. Your videos always keep me inspired to keep learning and to keep striving for exemplary handiwork!
I've watched this vid a few times. Satisfying to just watch restoration on one of the most iconic shoes. AJ1!!! Awesome✌🏾
gratulujem velmi dobra praca ,pozdrav zo slovakia
I bet the restoration costs more than the shoe itself 😂
Wow!! Brilliant work! Amazing stitching and processes here. Very talented content! Thanks so much!
Your craftsmanship is to be looked upon 🤯. I thought you were you gonna skimp on some parts but you went the extra mile.
Great Work!
This gentleman is so professional that he does paint job even without masking tape😩
I watched the whole video.Amazing restoration.
What tools do you use to help loosen the soles of your shoes?
what brand of paint is it?

From one shoe customizer to another...this is fantastic. BZ.
Please can you start doing some videos? We all love shoe restorations 👍
It's satisfying to watch you restoring them Jordans, 💯🤙🏾
Perfect bro
Just buy new ones
What glue u used can you tell me If it is a mixed then what mix ?
I *agree* with you on buying a new pair for parts to replace what could not be repaired. The rubber sole was so dry and rotted that they surely would've ended up back in your shop so WORK SMART, NOT HARD. You did an EXCELLENT job 😉👟
Amazing job. Just a little ironing with a damp towel to remove the creases and they would be perfect.

I think much more than those new Jordans
this is why I was confused. He even bought a new pair to use for the repair. so why not just go with the new pair. unbelievable job, but unless these shoes are extremely valuable.. all that work seems pointless. but hey if its a paying job, its a paying job!
Wow it's so cool 😮👏🏻☺️♥
When he was stitching nike sign.. i didn't see any holes in it.. it looks fresh piece
What many don’t understand is that these are OG breds that can actually be worn! Great job!
From 2001, not 1985
OG Breds/Banned is like from 1985
Sheesh he is so dum I would have not did thay
When you see the difference in what was a £40 pair of sneakers in the 80s then see the shame in what they make now for £100s, (basically disposable shoes that rapidly deteriate) you realise they did care about their products then, most sincere form of flattery seeing this be done) I reckon this is why people cling on to the illusion that older is better, because it is, they were built to last and they could be abused.. Can't even stand on your tiptoes in new ones with out busting a seam on the soles.. 😂 In what is essentially a basketball shoe.. 🤦♂️
@@AnthonyDurand1 these are not from the 80s, they're the 2001 retro release..
I love your videos!! As someone else said they are therapeutic and I watch them when I'm tense or have insomnia
I have a. Question how are you going to fix the newest shoes whith no sole
Great job on restoring the 2001 breds! I have a DS pair and I'm excited to wear them even if the soles crack.
I thought they were the 85s but something seemed so off I’m glad you pointed it out
@@jovanijaimes6340 there would have been some pretty major cracking of the foam around the ankle collar if they had been 85s, also the swoosh on the 85s were a very short haired synthetic suede material. At first i thought they were 85s too until I saw the swoosh, it's crazy to think though that this pair is still 20yrs old.
I was trying to figure out what year these was, the colars are not crunchy enough to be 85s.
