When I first saw Victory Brinker in her historical performance on AGT, I knew she was something special. This little girl is a shining light! Where other girls her age are singing pop songs, she has a passion for opera! What a great honor to vocal coach her and to share in this incredible video. I had so much fun coaching her to be a better singer and she soars to even greater heights! At the end of the video, we had some fun with some pop songs. No it's not crazy how mother is training her preparing her to be out there that's why she's all on KZhead it will depend upon with the fake say you have a lot of opera singers that people don't even acknowledge maybe she'll be an opera singer that's the type of voice she has just like Jennifer and Fantasia these are two artists with like Whitney Houston for the simple fact that I don't they don't lie saying didn't write any songs you don't went to last time if I can have song but she's always at the tribute for Kennedy center don't think she wants to be iconic none of none of them and Whitney Houston definitely is I hear music almost everyday on every station I could be a country that could be on Pop could be r&b and in the other one is Adele
Considering all of the "babble sounds" there are, I'm a bit saddened that out of 7 languages, this little Diva-to-be had not been instructed on singing any Afrikan languages. The Afrikan continent has beautiful (belcanto) music as well.

Singing standing up is definitely slightly easier, but it shouldn’t be drastically easier. Because you’re breathing from your diaphragm, which is in the exact same position sitting down than it is standing up. So if you’re supporting your voice properly, you’re not going to have too much trouble singing sitting down.

I love the matching headbands! I was blown away with Victory’s singing ability, but then at 0:57 I found out that she can sing in seven languages! 🤯 I’m learning Japanese and struggle to understand the sentence structure. Also, been learning to sing since October 22, from a total novice with no control whatsoever. Watching this video makes me want to keep striving so I can hit my goal. Singing in other languages is actually quite simple. All classically trained singers learn how to sing in several languages via phonetic training. Speaking in and understanding those same languages is a good deal harder.

Yesssss!!!! This was so AMAZING!!!! As a little girl myself I loved Opera. My sisters always told me to be quiet because I would sing Opera all day. I was the type of kid to watch PBS on Saturday’s when they would air Opera. It gave me such confidence to let my vocals be heard. As a 44 year old woman I still try hitting those notes that I one could flawlessly. I graduated high school as a 1st soprano and that by far was the greatest achievement I did. I felt more alive when I was singing. It brings me closer to God and how I feel as an individual. I love all the videos that you do with your students. Most the time I’m singing along.❤😊
Hey there, your story struck a chord with me, I am 37, had singing lessons all my life, never studied at a university, though, but I think I reached a similar level. Whenever I sing, it truly makes me happy. I still have lessons and will continue to do so. I had a big concert (at least big for me) the other day - so, what I’m trying to say here: don’t give up on your singing! Go back having lessons, you will love it when the voice comes back and you will hit those high notes again. Great divas sing well into their sixties, so there is still so much time for you (us) to live our opera fantasy ☺️😘 your local church will gladly have a concert with you, it does not have to be the MET or the Scala. Perfectionism is the death of joy, just go for it, girl 😅 Love from Germany

So many times on popular competitions anyone who sings classical or opera music is hailed as amazing, but Victory Brinker is genuinely a huge talent in the making. The ending section from about 7.30 is hilarious as they enjoy silly songs together.

I had scholarships for opera to a state university (that I stupidly didn't take) and after years of not using my voice, I'm starting to get back into it. I was convinced I had horrible nodes, but a recent visit to a laryngologist showed that I don't... I have vocal dysphonia! It's so hard trying to fight through it, but music is in my blood. This little girl is amazingly talented, and I wish her nothing but brilliant success. I also love your absolutely wonderful teaching style! Last night, I heard my daughter watching your videos, singing along to your vocal warm ups, and my heart was so happy!

@@CherylPorterVocalCoach thank you! I'm really trying too. I had some severe overuse that caused injuries and I kind of spiraled for a while, because I thought I'd lost it all. My identity was so tied up in singing. I went from a high soprano to hardly any range, awful "holes" in my scales, horrible diaphragm support, and just all around painful tension. BUT I'm unlearning the bad and taking back the good. I can't sing the Queen of the Night Aria, but I can sing all my old favorite Italian arias again. Baby steps. ❤️
