Happy for Asal that he is playing with integrity and winning, what a turn around in attitude
I think we have James Wilstrop to thank for that...
@@rufusexton How so?
@@watching99134 James Wilstrop has started coaching him at Pontefract. My sense is that one of the most 'gentlemanly' players has been instrumental in stripping Asal of his douchebag traits. Long may it continue.
Played a great semi v Gawad as well - 5 tough games. So following this up with a win over Farag is all the more impressive. And he has clearly worked on his behaviour. So credit to him.
So delighted to see Asal playing great AND fair squash!
In this tournament Asal clearly turned it up a notch. The other top-ranked players will have to do the same now.
El Gouna will be very interesting
He is growing up ... amazing ralleys with Farag and Gawad and not his usual antics ... a pleasure to not wince when i watch Asal!
Willstrop the wizard
Deserves that - he’s been a class act since he came back from his ban. Proved he can win fair. Sky’s the limit now 👏👏
Since he's been coached by wilstrop* he was still doing naughties straight after his ban, wilstrop and really cleaned him up!
I want to add comments similar to the others . A lot of respect for Asal for cleaning up his movement and playing well . Well done young man . Credit where credit is due
Have been a big critic of Asal, but this was a very mature, composed performance. Really a great game to watch
I am in the same camp. Half way through this match I was thinking that this shows he can totally beat the top players in the world with clean squash. He has power, finesse, incredible defense... He is the total package. It would be great to see him stay clean. In vital moments in majors... we shall see...
Congrats Asal! Glad to see the Willstrop partnership paying dividends
Exciting times for squash. Asal comes with a new style, other players will have to adapt. Gonna be fireworks!
Wow not often you see Farag getting played like this. Can see it in his frustration. Well played Asal!
What a redemption arc this has turned out to be... Found myself rooting for any opponent of his previously, but for this match and the others this tournament, cheering every point he earnt. Deserves the confirmation that a good attitude with fair play can win against the best.
Surely you can fit a few more photographers back there behind the front wall? I see some space if they get a bit tighter.
Congrats. I like the new Asal.
Asal has matured into a fantastic squash player. I never thought I'd say it but he is now one of my favorite players to watch. His retrieving is fenomenal and the way he owned the second game shows that he is soon number one. My guess is that he is going to be the first Olympic squash champion. Well done Mustafa!
this is the Asal we want to see
Farag always a class act!
The difference between a retriever and a shot maker
Really happy for Asal to win in such a peaceful way. Demons seem gone, still to confirm but that seems to be organic change. Really nice to see.
Well played. No funky games. Just played well and won. Great.
Some of these rallies were some of the most intense i've ever seen
He is back!
He's playing well and he's in check too, good to see, well done Mostafa.
Anybody know why Elias didn't play this tournament? Haven't seen him recently
Fair play
Best Match ever in this 2024
Asal my player...wow eow😂😅😊
He has tidied up his childish nonsense and in this form he is going to take some beating. Credit where it's due. 👏
Asal totally dominant 👏🏆💪
Like i say and ill say it again. Wait 12mths and he will be unbeatable. Very much like the two Khans . He could say come half way of the longest winning steck or 3/4
10 professional photographers, but 3 20yrs old cameras - well balanced PSA :D do people cost less than 1 phone that could record in 4k 60fps?
Welcome to the Asal era.
#2:14 6 on a row, not 5
superb match. old squash style commentators a bit better now.
Farag is an archer, while Asal is axe wielding warrior.
Asal Black Balled Farag
I believe people never change, people couldn't throw away original character he is acting good people
everybody "acts good"
Looks like you cant change either "HATER" Give credit where credit is due
Some modifications do occur but for now good on Asal.
That's really sad you think people can't change because that means you think you can't change yourself. You could find many exemples of people completely changing things After certain events.
Farag was simply at a loss for winners that he usually gets through his web weaving antics. Asal was up to anything farag the at him
the GOAT
Ok he won, no cheating visible in this summary. But I do not like brute force and arrogance beating elegance, technique, style, intelligence and humility to the game and the opponent.
Urgh
Nope...
Booo
unfortunately the 'serial blocker' and 'non-clearer par excellence' won... biggest disgrace to top level squash in the past 40 year history!
These Commentators need a new job. They suck
If psa had been more appropriate in how the handled this young guy.. he would have already been mostly dominating SQUASH. Shameful HOW they treated him, as if these old guys weren't also young once upon a time. Well done Asal👌
