Commentator: He hasnt even dived yet joey. Paul Coll: immediately dives twice
The thing I love about watching and playing this sport is at the end of a good rally the opponent is happy even if he loses. Most of the time.
Clearly. I'd rather lose but have some great rallies than winning a boring game. Rallies are incredible
Yeah... my friends and I almost never get beyond 4 shot rallies but on the odd occasion, almost accidental, we hit a 20 shot marathon and we collapse in mutual admiration almost forgetting who actually won the point.
Got to be the last one. It's like watching a normal rally replayed at twice the speed. Also love the way that Willstrop has the nerve to finish his epic rally with a triple fake.
This video make me realised how much I miss Ramy Ashour 😭, best player of the decade
Ever?
Yep... best ever
Nah nick is the best
@@Gauravkoolwal he literally said "Of the decade" not ever.
Whether he is the best or not, he is my fav player ever🙌
Half of the rallies had Ramy, that’s 🐐 stuff right there🔥🔥
And ElShorbagy - although l am an Ashour fan also.
GOAT !
Ashour vs shorbagy at 10-9, if you just walked in at that moment and watched the movement speed and hard hitting, you would think this is something extremely special, superhuman and alien. The Egyptian ultra aggressive style of play is really something to behold. It makes squash so watchable, especially after decades of relatively conventional Aussie, English and Pakistani plays which looked so boring in comparison. Sorry but that’s the truth.
I'm an Egyptian B player but won my local city league and reached every B final I'm played in here in Canada with the ultra aggressive drops from everywhere that even A players struggled against. You just need to be fit enough to reach the counter punch if they do get to it as they eventually anticipate your drops. If I worked on my long drives along the wall, I'd be an A player.
@@KnightMD well work on them then
I miss playing squash.
I miss playing squash to o☝️😷 but strangely I feel fitter than when I was playing three WTF sessions a week training full on with coach and Sqaush god Malcolm Pickup. What I have realized is I need to get fitter to play better sqaush ... I realized this doing 5 to 10 miles in the isolated hills of West Yorkshire walking and running...can’t wait to get on court 👍🧘♂️📈🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ faster leaner stronger focused ...I can wish 🙏🏼
@@Limbiclesion Same here ...can't wait for the club to open again. In the mean time, I am doing a daily Shabana-style exercise against a wall in the attic; from a distance of approx. 2 meters it's a straight FH then one cross-court, one straight BH and and one crosss-court. Sounds easy but isn't. When I come out of this CV19 mess, I plan to have better balll control than before
Is that what you call it Gary? You just run around swinging the bat don't you??
@@jimmorrison4291 Yes, that's right Jim. I copied your style of play... but I perfected it. 😁
Great minds think alike, amazing.
Castagnet pick up and winner was freaking amazing!!! And the commentary in all these rallies was gold !!
Ashour's retirement was the saddest day in squash this century. Just love this sport!
Thank you PSA for this special treat. Awesome!
Thanks PSA TV for the great contents. It must be noted that Thierry Lincou and David Palmer were still playing on the tour 10 years ago...
It's been fascinating reading all the responses below 😊 As we say, the results were based on a public vote on our website. But there are so many great rallies being mentioned, so we're thinking of making a 'Commenter Edition/Honourable Mentions' video, to make sure they get the airtime they deserve too! Comment below with your nominations (Men and Women) or 'like' someone else's comment if it's already been said 👍
What junior tournaments do you stream I’m under 13
the most epic one-sided judgment. This match will win in that category.
The first is the rallie of the century. Miss you so much Ramy. :-(
Awesome Vid! Thanksfor your time man! :)
I really miss watching Squash and playing it, but as much as that, I miss Ashour.
It's so beautiful that it looks like they are playing together!
Love the rallies. Thanks PSA.
Good god I love this sport. So tense, but I love every second of it. Just gobsmacking stuff!
Apart from the fact that the rally between ramy and shorbagy at 2012 Qatar was way ahead of their time, the longest rally between shorbagy and makin has to to be the rally of the decade. That inhuman evil rally, is too awesome to be the rally of the decade.
Agree, I would have picked the 2012 rally going into this, but after watching them all; the Shorbagy-Making rally definitely deserves to be up there. It's also impressive how Shorbagy can play such different styles at the highest levels.
Camera closeup to the kid sleeping after the first rally explains it all 😂
I am Kiwi, so call me biased if you wish, but the Coll Willstrop was my favourite, though they are all amazing :)
Best rally I ever saw was Peter N. v Simon P. , Toc 90's, early round, game 1- score maybe 5-all to 15. Standing ovation. The fact that it was Game 1 of an early round, nowhere near game ball, just made it all the more impressive. And of course, it ended in a let- despite both players playing through and clearing. Made no difference...
Just awesome rallies all of them. Having to choose one would be as painful as having to choose a favorite child.
I miss playing sooòooo much. Excellent choices.
Man I miss Ramy Ashour so much. Can you imagine how good he’d have been without his injuries? He made squash so exciting.
Was at Finchley squash club and this random guy just brings him in to say hello
No Shabana? Maybe you could have added an extra, 11th raly just to honor him.
Fantastic scenes!
20 minutes of awesomeness
The artist 👑🤩
Wish KZhead was around when I was running around the court like a fool 25 years ago Think it would have helped my game so much
I tried hard to pick a favourite, and whittled it away to the the two Elshorbagy-Ashour rallies, but I could go no further. Those two take the cake for me, just by sheer overall quality. Castagnet and Coll's dive rallies are great because of the entertainment factor, but they are just not on the same level.
They’re just on a different level
@@michaelmacari5647 Yeah, totally
Willstrop v. Gawad, Rally of the Decade. Disco lights.
No matter how many times you watch Willstrop do the triple fake, you can’t get bored of it.
You forgot about the Marche v Rosener rally!!!!! Anyways great video 👍
Marche V Hesham rally as well!!
HEey guys! aesome ! Glad to be here
Brilliant squash !!!
I love this video so much
Superb video
wow!! simply wow!!!
These guys are so elegant playing top notch squash. How can anyone watch assal after this?
Would have liked to have one of the Shabana / Gaultier rallies in this. Could have picked from 3 or 4 just from the 2011 game
James Wtf an inspiration ace 👍🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️📈
Amazing skills and WILLS!
Epic!
1:10 Why does this always get me rolling on the roll 🤣
loved it
It had to be Ramy - "why always me" - Just a legend of this great game
I miss Ramy. Squash is not the same without him
Remember when I used to thrash my mates at squash and think I was pretty close to the best. (Age 29) Then I played a 52yr old and I’ve never been run ragged round a court like he did to me. He never moved. Squash is a sport that goes like this > brain > fitness > more brain > if you have number 1 you win. I love losing when I deserve it.
Squash is so sick, I can't believe it!
Wow wow wow. Ramy is probs my all time favourite, currently my fav is Paul Coll 💪
When this sport has some sort of Hall of Fame it needs to include Mo ElShorbagey.
Jahangir Khan ....555 games unbeaten.
@@johngellard1187 Yea, Jansher and Jahangir are clearly the two greatest of all time.
cooles Video!
@psasquashtv There was a rally at Tournament of Champions years ago with David Palmer and Ollie Touminen. It was super contentious, and Palmer lost. There was a point where Ollie had Palmer on the ropes and hit a drive way past Palmer, where Palmer then turned around, launched himself in the air and flying waist height hit it off the back wall to the front. To my memory it was the dive of dives. Inside last 10 years?
A quick google suggests that match might have been in 2007? So pre-SquashTV and not one we currently have the archive footage from... but I'll investigate!
And this is why Squash is my favourite Game!
What makes a good rally is that when both players put their full effort into it.
"I don't believe it! I don't belieeeeeve it!"
How in the world is this NOT an Olympic sport. Incredible game.
Money. Costs a lot to buy the olympic board
Because synchronised swimming is better
@@onlyguitar1001 😂😂
Great rallies all. I'm sure there is an Ibrahim vs El Shorbagy rally that can make this list too.
Why on earth squash been shunned by the Olympics for so long is beyond me. This was incredible to watch
Was so great to live through Ramys period at the top. Such a shame injuries took their toll.
Ramy was the best player of all time. I only wish I had watch him play live. I lived in NY for 9 years and could watch Powell, Nicol, and even a young Shabana, but alas, no Ashour.
Can relate to the kid at the start..
Exquisite squash stuffs...
On Ash v. Sho, I use the exact move Sho uses to make the score 10-all.
Where is Simon Rosner Vs Mohammed El Shorbhaghy rally?? It's duffin in Dubai @psaworldtour
Do any pros play with protective eyewear?
do they play with double dot yellow ball? It seems to bounce much more than when me and my friends play...
that ELSHORBAGY and MAKIN rally was 159 shots... how crazy is that?
nice counting! I gave up after 2 minutes haha. Over 4mins for one rally. Insane!!
squash should be called an Egyptian sport💯
Great Video PSA . i asked myself . How many times was the Rally "dead or revived " in each match. Game1.one Game2.one. Game3three. Game4.three. Game5.three. Game6.six. Game7.six plus a beaut finish. Game8.four. Game9.one. Game10.two All Brilliant Matches . Rally of the Decade. you can see it.
and the OSCAR goes to Gawad v Willstrop. Player of the Decade ...RAMY ASHOUR
I dont even know how squash works and the rules but im watching this
Epic
After the first 30 secs, I almost fell asleep...
hes not missed the sausage, hes a warrior and a half some skyrim sounding quotes lmao
I don't need to know much about squash to understand that these were out of this world, damn i hold my breath for 10min.
Le top'du top !!!
Hahaha ..... " Coll hasn't even dived yet Joey "
Nobody could give this a dislike!
No one was ever going to agree on the top 10... It's harsh on Farag I'd say whose battles with El Shorbagy are my pick for, maybe not as spectacular as these, but the highest quality squash rallies ever played. But anyway some beauties in here! Thank you!
For sure! That's why we put it to a poll rather than assert our own opinions, but it's 100% natural that some will disagree or think something has missed out. I think the problem with Ali rallies is that he makes it look too easy 😂 Is there a particular one you had in mind?
Hard to remember... Maybe one of the ones from Qatar 2017 (kzhead.info/sun/lbOFj7FrpalslGw/bejne.html), like 5:57, 16:44 or 23:52? Or even the recent rallies from this year's Canary Wharf (kzhead.info/sun/fbmSqNSJnneFdXk/bejne.html) - 7:11? Mostly short rallies but only because both players were pounding the nick at will. It's an unrecognizable game from 10 or even 5 years ago.
As a tennis player, this game is so alien to me
superstar Ashour!
I used to play quite a bit of squash but why are these guys always going down the back hand
레미의 기타연주 세레머니는 스쿼시 역사 최고 명장면이죠.
Love the vid but MARCHE vs HESHAM?!!! When Marche diving back-wall boasted?!! Also pretty sure one of you boys called it the best rally you'd ever seen at the time!
It was a public vote, I’d have had it in there myself :)
@@squashtv Righto. As you were...
Missing out a lot of rodriguez tho
Ramy went 9,7,5,3,1, ridiculous.
Some great rallies but I'm very disappointed at the lack of disco time...
Ramy is the modern squash GOAT.
Me watching Sqash for the first time, commentator "its gotta be a stroke", me....yes of course it has to be.
How about Al Tamimi v Matthew ??
this could have been a 5 minute video with no loss of content.
끝날 때까지 끝난 게 아니다...
ramy ashour was a legend
These rallies are quite slow. In a confined space like this i expected them to be much faster
tamimi rally was great
GG is the best player...he covered so much time being on top and beated all the top players over 2 generations..Ramy is a maverick but lacked longevity
What was going on in 2016? :)
Ramy Ashour is missed 😔
As a beginner in this sport I can´t understand why they don´t hit slow balls to corners? The ball would hit ground fast and would not bounce almost at all :/
