Ken in a great host. He really understand the game and his comments are really on point. While a less astute host might say "sorry you're in a distant third place" he actually describes the dynamic of the game and doesn't seem to look down on a player that just got badly beaten.
And he managed to use the expression "crackerjack Jeopardy! players" 😊

I like Ken Jennings as host of Jeopardy. I miss Alex but do think Mr. Jennings should be the next Jeopardy host.
He and Mayim are both very intelligent but even more importantly are very grounded and relate well to the contestants. Both also throw in the occasional yuck and should do so more often.

At first my choice was India, but then that part "mostly in the southern hemisphere" made me realize it was Indonesia which lies south of us in the Philippines, just north of the Equator.
Not only that, it's the country with the largest Muslim population. I'm sure that's a jaw dropper to many (if not most) people here in North America. BTW if you're from Indonesia, why don't you spell "favourite" as "favorite"? Just curious.

That was the key word in the clue. I had it down to two countries, but I went with my gut came up with, "What is Indonesia?" The other country I thought was The Philippines. However, it could be technically not part of Asia. That is why I went with Indonesia.

You'd have to say the second place player made a bad bet. As he couldn't catch the player ahead of him, he really should bet small and hope the guy in first misses. But the first place guy is Asian and the Final Jeopardy answer pertains to an Asian country, what can you do?

Given that the only other Asian nation in the Southern Hemisphere is East Timor, this one was really just a matter of knowing where the Equator is.

Indonesia has very unusual borders, so it was my first guess but the Phillipines was my second. I thought maybe the Phillipines stretched further south than they do for a moment.

This was pretty easy. There aren't that many Asian countries mostly in the Southern Hemisphere in the first place, and Indonesia does have a very large population.

I would argue that Brazil would have been the correct answer as over 40% of Indonesia is in the northern hemisphere.
I would retort that Brazil isn't in Asia.

What map are you looking at? Every political map I have seen shows Indonesia entirely in the southern hemisphere. Please share this special Jeopardy only map you have access to.

No, several players (Just at the top of my head, Myron Meyer, Brian Weikle, Ken Jennings, Roger Craig, Arthur Chu, Michael Bilow, Matt Jackson, Austin Rogers, James Holzhauer, Jason Zuffranieri, and Matt Amodio [Holzhauer and Amodio many times]) have won at least $50K or more at least once before Andrew.

Every map that splits up the continents that i have seen invlude Indonesia as part of Asia... remember that it is not just physical landmass that is taken into consideration with continents but loosely shared culture and/or ethnicity with the people (which is partly why Asia, Africa, and Europe are all considered separate continents even though they are connected.)

so the answer is wrong. The worldest most Populus Country is actually China. China has about 7 times more people living in it then Indonesia. I think they need to get their facts correct because they give a wrong answer to a clue. He even says "Indonesia is the FOURTH largest." However, the clue says THE MOST populous. so he's contradicting himself. Indonesia Population 270+ Million People. Population of China: 1.4 BILLION. but ya Indonesia is the largest country in the world.
