Hello friends, in this video i'll be making a simple router lifter. I upgraded my table saw with this router lifter. So my table saw is a 2 in 1 workstation now. Hope you like it.

Cok jakshi!

Have been around quite a while, seen several THOUSANDS woodworking and machining videos of all kinds; I am convinced that your router lift, if not the absolute best of them all, has to be one of the three at the top. WELL DONE SIR !!!
Thanks, glad you like it 😊

Perfect! the best DIY router lift I've ever seen on KZhead. Thanks for sharing.
The clearest tutorial on KZhead for this lift mechanism, thanks a lot bro!
I've seen so many router lifts made on KZhead - this is by far the best! Nothing to complicate things, just simple and easy. I'm gonna step out into my shop and make it tonight. Big thanks for sharing!
Como sempre, trabalho limpo, preciso e perfeito. De Portugal, obrigado pela generosidade.
That looks like a really elegant device to use. I will add that to my list of projects to build.
This is the best DIY router lift I have seen. More simple in nature as well.

Bardzo fajne rozwiązanie: proste a jednocześnie wystarczająco precyzyjne. Autor zadbał o to by koszty były niskie. Brawo!
Probably the best and simplest design I have ever seen. All credit to you Sir for the effectiveness of your project.
Using linear rails and guide-blocks was a great idea, I will use that and rebuild my router lift now and use the linear rails to replace the aluminium rails that galls way to easy. Thanks a ton for sharing the video. :-)
Beautifully made video of a beautifully made tool. The very best of what KZhead is all about.
Great Job and thanks for the detailed numbers. That is really helpful. Carry on!

Excellent build
Thank you! I have seen a lot of youtube DIY Router Lift ideas, always thinking that it's too elaborate. This is perfectly small, simple and easy to attach to a worktable. Great work!
Maşallah on numara beş yıldız, olağanüstü bir çalışma . Sen bu işi biliyorsun 👍👍
The best-ever router lift system, great work
Maşallah usta, rabbim yetenek vermiş
Beautiful design! Very simple and compact. I especially like the simplicity of the raising mechanism. Can you please provide a link to the sliding bushings that you have used on the four rods? Thank you very much for sharing. This has just gone on the top of my To Do list.

Amazing project. Would be really helpful with the links to the parts used for this.
They're all available on Amazon. Look for linear shafts, bearings etc. For 3D printers.

Pozdrawiam.
sehr saubere Arbeit, vor allen Dingen durchdacht.
That looks like much more fun than spending $200+ on a prebuilt mechanism.
Looks amazing very clever just one question does the vibration cause the height adjustment to move or alter?
unlikely, but it they do, you can incorporate a set screw and threaded sleeve, easy peasy.
Her zamanki gibi mükemmel bir paylaşım.Tebrikler Gökmen bey

Where did you get those guide bushings and posts? What names could we search to find these? I think you'd have more subscribers if you would include this type of information and links in the text for the video. Otherwise, an amazing video!
you can purchase it in many places of internet, amazon, aliexpress, bangood....etc. Technical name is "SC10UU"
@Um bit de cada coisa Thank you very much! I'd subscribe for this information, if I was not already subscribed anyway. :0)
Everything you do just blows my mind!
I think that's the most stable strong and inexpensive method for a router lift I've ever seen. Thanks for the inspiration my friend greetings from Greece
After my previous home-made router lift broke when the lifting thread became damaged, I thought I would try this as it looked pretty straightforward. I'm sure the basic idea is very good but I struggled to get the accuracy needed. Therefore a couple of notes of caution. a) the wooden square frame that holds the router in place has to made very accurately. Firstly the wood has to be cut perfectly square and to the exact dimensions otherwise the router will not be held tightly - not a good idea!. It also has to be assembled square as otherwise the router will not be truly vertical when the final assembly is complete. Obviously I'm not as good as Gokman as mine was not quite right b) Gokman drilled out the holes for the guide rods at the beginning. There is no play in the bearings and if any of the holes are slightly in the wrong place, then the assembly will not sllde smoothly. c) I also didn't follow how you can force 10mm guide rods into 9mm holes and keep them perpendicular to the board (again needed to smooth movement) so I drilled 10 mm holes and used epoxy. Given my first failure and as I wanted the router to be fully perpendicular to top face of the assembly, I decided to cheat and bought a router mounting bracket from ebay for £20. I bolted this to some plywood and mounted 2 bearings on that wood. I also fitted the bearings first and used them to mark the position of the holes for the guide rods. A 3rd bearing was attached to the bracket with epoxy and then its guide-rod hole drilled I still need to attach things to my (different shaped) table opening but hopefully the tricky stuff is done
Beautifully compact version of a router lift, loved your video!
ilham verici güzel bir çalışma, ellerine sağlik
Valeu Gökmen !! 👏🏻👍🏻
I made a DIY router lift very similar to your design. I had an unresolvable problem with it that I do believe your unit will also have. No locking mechanism. How to keep the lift from vibrating down with use? Gravity works! Even a very small change in the depth of cut can ruin a work piece. After many, many trials to correct this abnormality, I scraped it and purchased manufactured router lift with a locking system built in. Problem solved.
Safety and Accuracy comes First. ❤
COMPLIMENTI !
That was a very enjoyable video to watch. Thank you for sharing. Thumbs UP.
Interesting design but it looks like there are a number of areas that are just force fitted into place ( like the 4 rods that the linear bearings run on ) and that suggests that over time and use things will come apart or get sloppy.
Yeah it looks like that's the case. It may be possible to use epoxy to hold them in place though.
So build a better one.
Thank you my friend for your detailed video. Very good job. I just mafe 1 for my self today.
Thank you!!! I have been trying to find a video that showed all the details. Most do not show the cutter change facility. It has solved my problem. Thank you again
Hmmm. Nice build but let down by the lack of detail on where to get the parts required. Steel rods & Linear Motion Ball Bearing Slides. What sizes and where to buy.
Eline emeğine sağlık kardeşim. Çok kullanışlı bir çalışma olmuş. Paylaşım için teşekkürler...
Brilliant work. Love the method. Looks the most stable system I have seen.

Klaus N. Wie immer Sehr Gut!! Danke
Very clever design but if you don't tell viewers where to get the components, the video is just a boast of what you can make.
Where he gets the parts may not be accessible to a global audience I suppose; but they are on Amazon banggood and ebay.
Were can we find the material that was used to make the router lift

SUGGESTION: you went through all the trouble to make this device and edit the video. Your efforts would be much more appreciated if you would answer some of the relevant questions that appear here regarding materials used or dimensions, etc. I do hope that you take the extra effort to answer the questions or as an alternative, post plans that one can download to use as this is one of the best woodworking videos, POTENTIALLY, ever!
Do you want him to build it for you too? Why does he owe you anything else? Does it say this is a tutorial? He has 1.3 Million subs, you think he's going to waste his time answering questions from freeloaders like you all day? be proactive, figure it out on your own. You must be from india.
Hey Einstein, look at the effin' TITLE of his video for cryin' out loud! He may have a boatload of subscribers, but if he doesn't at least pretend to pay attention to the comments, then turn them off. Not a hard concept to understand: Have some courtesy, a lesson you would benefit from as well.
@ around 6:10 did anyone else cringe when they saw the threaded rod being wrecked by the bench vise? Of all the amazing things you've made, I'd assume you would have no trouble making a rig to hold the threaded rod in a vise, without destroying the threads? Like two pieces of wood to sandwich the threaded rod into? At least you cut out the footage of screaming as you put the 2 nuts on the rod and realized what you'd done. Lol.
Nope nobody else cringed because we know he would have no problem making something had he needed it. The only thing we cringed at was your comment. Lol (if you will allow me to finish my comment with "lol" that will add some credibility to it).
