This is far more than just a table, this is truly a beautiful work of art. Exotic wood, exotic talent; watching these guys work was mesmerizing.
brilliant craftmanship but personally i would rather it just covered in teak or boiled linseed oil so you can see the lovely pattern of the wood
Sukses selalu my frend. Banyumas Indonesia.
These guys do amazing amazing work. Discovered you videos a few days ago and can't stop watching! It is strange to see people working in bare feet, as an American.
Same here. As a contractor and carpenter I cannot fathom a jobsite where people are walking around barefoot.
It´s a shame that dark finish hiding the natural beauty of wood
Turned out lovely, hard and heavy work. love the way the young carpenter helped the little dog.
Fantastic job guys unbelievable craftsmanship
my admiration was lost when the wood grain was coated with paint .. hmm
done by order I supose, so nothing to do with their taste or deficit.
I was thinking it was wax
Why use a beautiful species of wood, only to cake it in lacquer and hide the colours and patterns?
agreed
My day is ruined
Might as well have used pine
They do this on every project. I have been thinking about this, and first I thought, this might be a cultural thing, that we just don't get. But maybe the explainiation ist pretty simple: The wood they are using is to us amazingly beautiful and rare becaus it does not grow in our areas. But to them it is just the kind of wood that grows in the forest nearby. And to make the piece special, to prevent it to look just like cut from the forest and flung together they apply lacquer. Just a thought.
Maybe special request from the customer. Every person taste is different...🤷 But, yeah...that paint hide the beauty of that wood.
Super perfection, great craftsman ship , cute finishing
I was gutted you couldn't see any of the natural grain on the finished product, grand job all the same,
Lindíssimos !! São obras de arte inigualáveis!!! Parabéns!

Beautiful, amazing,, hard work, 🙏 👍 🙌🙌 from ( France 🇫🇷)
Beautiful piece of craftsmanship
Excellent job. Thanks. God bless you
thanks
They ruined it with that dark stain. The natural grain was so gorgeous.

I agree
Maybe that's what the customer wanted. The grain is still visible and I like it just the way it is. Everyone's taste and needs are different.
Yeah you are right. Dark make so dirty color
You see it all the time in these videos if that is a local wood people are tired of the color and go with stain instead of natural
What an elegant dinning table you guys have made. Craftmans at their best, great job. Thanks
I watch this shop daily and am so amazed at the skill they have.
Just my own opinion. I would finished it with enhanced neutral color, I want to see the natural beauty/grain of the wood. It’s still a beautiful piece anyway but doesn’t looked like wood anymore. Wonderful job 👍👍👍.
nol bug CIAO .
Beautiful... I did like the color before the finish stain darkened it and lost most of that really pretty grain. For me, after the cleaning wash, a clear finish would be perfect to show this wonderfull wood. With this very dark finish, the wood does not matter. It could be a less valuable wood with the artificial looking finish. I was a buyer of wood furnishings for the American market all over Asia. The finish is proper for most Asia markets but not for Western exports. Great job building this. Fantastic carving and joining the top. Great skill. Thank you for this skilled video.
I am quite sorry for the final paint, but the customer requested it so we did it, the wood grain was blurred, unfortunately.
@@WoodworkingCraftsman thank you very much. In the future, I would love to visit this shop. I love the skill and the very classic designs. My friend still has a thick table supported by 4 classic dolphins, it is from Vietnam many years back and shows beautiful classic design. Warmest regards, David Culpepper

@@WoodworkingCraftsman That explains it, It breaks my heart to see such a well made, beautiful piece of wood covered up by that dark glossy paint. Incredible craftsmanship. It looked so good before the paint.
Mercy!!...What an incredible masterpiece!!!....The sheer scale and detail of this incredible work of art, is absolutely breathtaking 😍 😳
Excellent craftsmanship 👍
beautiful work but I was a little bummed when they covered the wood grain
You need to get yourself a beam saw. I use a floor sander on big table tops. I would be interested in what the moisture content of the wood is.
Hermoso mueble.bastante artístico felicidades
Niiicceeeee. The Best KZhead music ever i heard !!!!!

absolutely stunning piece of work, hope we see you on here agan
Not taking it away from these guys what they do with such limited equipment is amazing and I bet they’re all getting paid peanuts but a beautiful rare piece of wood like this deserve so much better
This table may as well have just been made from a cheap sustainable hard wood if it was going to be covered is that nasty Brown, what a shame, was beautiful.
the table top is stunning but the rest is too fancy. health and safety lol?
Really Strange Video. Ebony's transformation towards teak and finally into Plastic! But thumbs up for the craftsmen!
Wow beautiful from Pakistan
im assuming no one likes natural wood finishes there. I loved this table up until you painted it with that dark vanish.
What a beautiful table!
Excellent craftsmanship
Thanks so much your Brothers Thankyou master of chainis GOD bless your family GOD bless your country +
it was super craftmanship GOOD BLESS you guys
This is what I call a true work of art, a true masterpiece, congratulations on the beautiful work, I even like to see it, I am Brazilian and here Brazil we have good carpenters, great professionals who work with wood but I have never seen one fabulous thing like that, congratulations to everyone who participated in this wonderful work, just out of curiosity, what is the final price of such a work, in dollars, whatever the price, we know it is worth every penny.
Isso q eu chamo d verdadeira obra prima
I have let some of my woodwork colleagues know about this site [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ]. I was especially awed in the wake of experiencing the outlines and plans that were incorporated into the bundle. This is the best item for any woodwork devotee and shed manufacturer out there.?
They may not have the most up to date machines and tools but you can tell everything they have is kept very sharp it makes a huge difference to the work
hâm mộ a quá ..tnay không cần bán đồ gỗ đâu nhỉ...ăn view youtube cũng giầu
Why cover the beauty of the ebony wood? Doesn’t that defeat the point of using it? Excellent skills
Its about owning it not showing, good point though :)
Actually, we painted the wrong color!

Great Job, good skills on Ebony, just a little detail, on My humble opinion I luv the natural beauty of the Ebony, because of that dramatic look and the great job by these guys, I rather would let the Ebony to speak for himself ( maybe just a add a little shading ), the designer or client doesn't had the Idea of the natural character of the materials, Again Its an amazing Job and congrats to the Wood workers I wish I have them handy cause I'm an Architect with almost 20 yrs on the Architectural Millwork trade and We required of these kind of manufacturers...
Wealthy traditional Asians who can afford to buy this style and have homes large enough to accommodate it, do not do "Rustic". Exposed natural wood grain is, in their minds, connected to the rural, agrarian lifestyle which they have struggled to escape. Expensive and opaque lacquered finishes denote prosperity and status.
@@davidj.7779 ...how tastes differ, from epoch to region. i was thinking myself about how lovely the ebony looked in a clear lacquer but when the finished product, resplendant, reflected all about it, i thought again, yes both looks have their strengths and it is thankfully, all down to taste.
I agree that the natural look was absolutely beautiful, I was surprised to see the natural grain covered. But I understand that this is what the customer wanted. Superb craftsmanship.
One of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen! 👍🏼
22:12 this is when the wood looked the most beautiful
It would have been nice if it was left that way.
Quite agree. They may well as used 'MDF'.

Good nice. Amazing work. Congratulations.
made in viet nam thanks you!!!
it will be more beauty if they lets the wood without paint...
Amazing wood work. Extremely talent!!! I really love to watch this video!! Thanks!!!
A chunk of ebony like this is now is so beautiful and even very rare to see. Apparently here to just be used as a table of some kind for some rich guy to prop up his ego and most likely impress someone in order to feel special.
your listening to your drunk communist teacher too much. make youraelf into someone and you can have anything you want.
Better being a table than firewood though,

Q bonito
I dont care what the naysayers on here think or say This is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the work that went into it
Looking at the type & quality of the woods. Manhours & craftsmanship, the table w/o the chairs set. Can easily weight about 600/700kg (as I make the caculation based on the per/manpower@50/60kg sometimes more but thats an average man can lift/carry) & the price like that, USD25K & above.....and to move & assemble it, sure hell will cost a small fortune. We can watch & dream about this table as it only fit for the rich & royalty.😘
For the ruling communist party leaders.
@@spudpud-T67 Can't comment on that, Bro 😁
Only the richest!!!! Because of these sick people who rule our planet is being destroyed.
It is not ebony (you cannot have ebony of that size), it is Wenge wood.
Đồ nghề giờ thật hiện đại. Xem họ thao tác cực kỳ chuẩn xác !
This is amazing woodworking...you guys are awesome..
When watching this video I can't help myself for crying inside, all the woods in Laos are gone now! Please stop being so greedy. Please help save the forest.
I so agree, it’s disgusting but the same all over the world!
@@sarahjchinz Oi
You are very correct. Business people did not see how destructive their acts are. All the rare woods are now gone. What good are those expensive table for. A show of wealth at the expense of destructive environment. So shameful
@@nguyenhan1448 It's not a rare wood. It's Wenge (not Ebony like the title says) and it's available commercially with all the appropriate certifications that it's harvested responsibly.

Just sent the video to my health and safety representative, I would like to know where I buy those safety boots these guys are wearing.also don't these guys know that we make our tables and things in North America out of cardboard
...i've noticed that since retiring, when pottering around now, using various tools and materials in and outside the house, i've become a bit more careful when i'm not wearing the gear. Respect your direct environment, it could kill you in an instant.
Wow what a beautiful job 👍
The U.S. business people will buy it from them $300 and re-sell it here for $20,000

As a professional woodworker(retired), I must say that while the finish is beautiful, the absolute overkill on the base does not match the simplicity of the top. If you were looking for a Tudor look you should have had the moulding around the top carved to match the base. While your outstanding skills are displayed your artistic eye is sadly lacking.
The giant wood deserves to have something made from it that is spectacular. There should be no exceptions.
That doesn't look like any kind of ebony. More like Wenge. That flame method on the mortise though. I've never seen that before. PVA glues don't adhere well to carbonized wood.
True,,, is Wenge. But a Amazing Wonderful Work.
Not sure what type of glue it was but didn't look like PVA to me. Most likely something traditional that doesn't have a problem with carbonized wood.
*I liked seeing the natural grain. I hated the brown finished product. What a waste of wood and effort of craftsmanship!*
Beautiful work
