Mandisa was born on October 2, 1976, in Citrus Heights, California, she passed away in her home in Nashville Tennessee on April 18, 2024.
Hundreds showed up to her funeral and life celebration in Brentwood Saturday morning as well as over 11,500 people live-streamed the service online.
Well-known Christian speaker and author Beth Moore took to the stage to share about Mandisa's impact in her own life.
She is alive more than ever now with Jesus. Thanks for sharing!❤

This has struck me so as "he is more alive than he's ever been" were the words I was given visiting my father's grave. It would seem that God wants us all to know this truth. There is life everlasting and it is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen and amen.

My daughter,Summer Silvia Williams 8/6/91-11/9/22 loved Mandisa and God used her music to help her through difficult times in her life.I know they have met and are good friends now.
Wow. This is a rhyme to my story, too. My baby sister and I would drive around for hours listening to Mandisa during a time in our lives, where we were both hurting SO MUCH for different reasons. My sister passed away in similiar circumstances to Mandisa, in December of 2022, and losing Mandisa is a heartache like I just lost my sister all over again. I loved her music and what she meant to me and my sister, so much! They are both singing praises and worshipping King Jesus together. I'm SO very sorry for your loss.

No, she's in the grave awaiting resurrection according to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and ECC. 9:5. She will be resurrected to stand before the God of creation. According to Daniel 7 judgement was set and the books were opened. Judgement must happen before entry into heaven. Thank Jesus for imputing His righteousness unto us.

I'm disabled. I had to take early retirement. My then husband was abusive. I bought the "True Beauty" cd. I'm blessed I've still have it. I listened to the cd over and over. Now there's a song on the same cd name "Shackles Off". Jesus I'd you understand is now my husband and I freely can listen too Mandisas cd and music. I've divorced. I stayed with my x-husband for too long to be abused. Listening to Mandisa sing helped me very much. I understand all of us have a blueprint on earth. I pray people that are going through a abusive marriage or what ever problems to know Mandisa. If you're a believer in Jesus Christ that died for your sins and know you're having eternal life.... we'll have eternity to sing praises to our King and all believers. Mandisa is a believer and I will meet her at moment God gives me. I want to take in Jesus 1st ❤.

I am grateful she alluded to the fact that with fame comes vulnerable and oftentimes, suffering. Although her family claims to know what happened; none of do until the police finish their investigations. And ultimately we know that so many of us are in great pain. And if her life and death can help just one other person hang on - that would be a beautiful legacy out of so much pain. ☮️

She wasn’t always depressed, she only went through that after her closest best friend died from cancer. The news gets information wrong misleading people sadly. She was loved 😢🙏

Her dad had mentioned that she contracted COVID-19. Unfortunately, in the African American community if you have obesity, diabetes or high blood pressure the long term effects of COVID is that it may weaken the heart. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is what they conclude. She had a lot extreme weight losses. That does affect the heart in a negative way if you gain it back. COVID possibly exacerbated this. I’ve heard rumors of suicide but all her videos paint a picture of someone who was joyful, at peace candid about her struggles about her sensitivity to comments, depression and self image. But she always self reflected and quoted the Lord so that his word would put her back in the right frame of mind.

If it is not that she, say, fainted due to a malady she was experiencing, like low blood sugar or whatever, & the malady caused her death without her having hit her head, or her becoming freak accidentally strangulated like by bedding or device cord or some such, or her having been freak accidentally cut or pierced by something sharp that was in her bedroom (unlikely, since no blood has been mentioned), then her death would have to have been by some trauma to her head, throat, chest, abdomen, etc, & that most likely the first body part, i.e. her head. It still is shocking to me that Mandisa is dead, as shocking as when I first heard it, perhaps especially after having heard she was only 47 years old, but, then again, this is life in this present world we are after all talking about, & we know death can befall an individual of any age, & at any time, unless the Almighty says, "No, not today, Death!" This is not to say every death that occurs God wanted to occur, but the statement above is more meant to underline that He can intervene & either prevent death, or perform reversal & resurrection. There are many other related scripture references, e.g. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) - 'if anyone be in Christ he is a new creature..." And among the hymns we sing: "All creatures of our God and King...." Blessings!
