  • I like your conversations with your guests. I also don't think you need to worry about how you talk (i.e., saying like, or totally) because you're still finding your rhythm with the podcast - so I hope you're not too hard on yourself. Besides - I think it makes it more casual and authentic. The format of your podcast (to me) makes me feel as a listener like I'm out for coffee with friends and I love it. I have ADHD and I'm often told I need to speak more 'eloquently', and sometimes that's fair but also I think that it can feel hurtful and encourages masking. Perhaps that's not your experience, but I just wanted to say that as a fan of the podcast, I don't need you to be 'eloquent', I just appreciate you for your authenticity

  • In Germany we have queer versions of the bachelor called 'Prince Charming' and 'Princess Charming'. Only issue they have there is that because the contestants spend more time in the villa with all the other queer men or women, they have to film the whole show faster than the Bachelor so that not too many couples form between the contestants. Despite that, there is always one couple forming between contestants and everyone is always rooting for them the most. So happy to live at a time, where there is representation in mainstream media

  • omg I thought I was a total freak for almost exclusively watching gay male porn as a bisexual woman. Lesbian porn is a close second, but straight porn just doesn't do it for me for some reason even though I enjoy having sex with men. I thought there was something wrong with me!! Thank you Shannon for saying that and not editing it out I feel sooo much better about it now!!!

    @electra424@electra4243 ай бұрын
    • Very normal actually which I don't necessarily understand totally but I used to watch it for а bit and I'm so gay love women, only want to be w women. I find men physically attractive but don't want to sleep ш them. But yeah idk if it was just the taboo of it or the fact that I'd never seen two men together but it was а turn on.. I felt weird and confused about it but yeah found out it wasn't uncommon!

      @LaLaLaLaLa8237@LaLaLaLaLa82373 ай бұрын
    • Watching gay porn does seem to be a thing that women who love women enjoy. I am as gay as could be, but there was a long period when I almost exclusively watched gay porn. I think queer women look for authenticity and two men doing it seems more believable since their passion appears very genuine and oftentimes, quite palpable and intense. I believe so much of lesbian porn is made for the male gaze, directed by men, and feels too staged. Not to say that's always the case, but it feels true most of the time. Plus, my arousal was always increased for feeling sorta "wrong" for liking it. So yeah, I think women are much quicker to see performative porn and be turned off, hence why it's a common thing for us to watch guy on guy porn.

  • Shannon you’re doing an amazing job. I’m loving each episode more and more. My personal opinion is you don’t need to have any of your ex’s on. This is your story to tell and your guests stories to tell and that’s interesting enough. All of your guest’s have been very intriguing and you’re really good at getting the stories and keeping a great conversation flow with the questions you ask. No need to messy it up because it’s perfect just the way it is. This is your own thing and you’ve found your voice again and do it in a respectful way. Nothing you have said has been disrespectful so keep your head up and don’t let anyone dim your light ever again. Proud of you and you should be proud of yourself. Thank you for all that you have done for hundreds of thousands of us through the years. Can’t wait for the next one 🤍

  • I always had a "no virgins" kind of rule because I didn't want the pressure of being someone's first time and then them being like "jk. girls aren't for me" so I kind of get not wanting to be with someone who isn't super confident in their sexuality. I did however, realize about 2 months after having sex w/ my gf that I was her first *everything* and we're still together 5 years later, so I guess it worked out

  • It's ok to take your time into figuring things out, it's a learning process. Sometimes I think you've been saying this in your videos for a long time, but you still have trouble in applying it to yourself. A thing I love about what you do is that you keep the quirks of working things out and dealing with stuff in the videos and don't keep them hidden. I heard your voice crack up in the beginning a few times. Some hugs felt required. Don't worry about getting things perfectly. Sometimes those imperfections hit a chord much more that a "perfect" version would. You mirror a lot of shit in us about simply being human even before you even start debating a topic.

  • You mentioned editing 1.5hrs of footage down to 1 hour for the podcast, but please don't feel the need to over-edit it! I can definitely see the youtube editing mindset in the way you're editing these videos, but don't worry about editing every pause or "um" "like" etc.! Even in your opening I noticed so many quick jump cuts within a single sentence, but this is a podcast! It doesn't need to be fast-paced or pithy, and we WANT to hear the conversations as they happen (with the exception of anything you don't want on the internet, of course). You could release the videos without any edits at all and most of us would be perfectly happy. Love the podcast!!

No puns intended 😂 I've been here since the 'beginning' (I basically realized I was gay because of you and Cammie 😂) and yes this is different but our lives are also different. I love these different stages and you don't have to keep making the same content just because people expect you to. You grew during these years and this is who you are now and that is 100% okay!
