The Marvel Cinematic Universe dominated the box office for more than a decade, and now it’s trying to bring that success to the small screen with some MCU shows on Disney+, the first of which is WandaVision-- a strange sitcom starring Wanda Maximoff and The Vision… who… isn’t supposed to be alive.
WandaVision raises a lot of questions. Like will we ever be able to hear the words “Please Stand By” the same way again? Are viewers too obsessed with fan theories? What was with all the Mephisto hype and the aerospace engineer? Why bring Evan Peters over from the X-Men movies just to make a dirty joke? Did this interesting conceptual show really have to end with a CGI battle and sky beams? How did Agatha All Along, a song in which a witch sings about killing a dog, reach the top of the itunes charts?!
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to WandaVision! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Aside from her killing a dog and kidnapping Wanda’s fake children, I really didn’t see any clue that Agatha was even a villain. She just wanted to take Wanda’s powers from her which, after seeing what Wanda does to people with them, is probably a great idea. We get one flashback of Agatha that tells us she’s evil. Hey Luis, have you ever had a bad manager or a boss?
Yeah. Hayward's introduction wasn't great but his goals and motivation were compelling. He had so much potential. And then they let him try to shoot two kids like a crazy psycho, but somehow misses and hits the GIANT GAP between them. And then he even looks at his gun like he's disappointed that Monica didn't die.

@@Baeraad I mean, we did already did hate him even though he was not a bad guy. So that was unnecessary. Plus, Wanda was a true villian and nobody hated her

Anybody notice the plot similarities to the novel _Mort_ ? The dead character who is alive only in a reality-warping bubble, the struggle to maintain the warped reality bubble, things being transformed as they pass into into the bubble, having characters that walk through walls and meta humor about genre conventions... I was re-reading Discworld when WandaVision ended, and I couldn't help but go "oh, hey, where did I just see _this_ plot?" while reading Mort. Amusingly, the novel that follows, _Reaper Man_ , also has some similarities to WandaVision as well, since it has mind-controlled people and an evil replacement that is supposed to kill the original. Athough those similarities are much more minor.
What is this "reading" you speak of?
Would you say Vision fighting his counterpart is a brilliant example of some cinematic... di-vision?
“Is he secretly Mephisto? Are the twins secretly Mephisto? Am I secretly Mephisto?” **distant Erik Voss sobbing noises**
So good
Lol
🤣🤣
And Erik Voss is still making his next 5 videos trying to explain Mephisto.
lmfao
A question we all have to ask ourselves at some point in our lives. "Am I secretly Mephisto?"
lolll
Heh
Yes
Such a simple concept, this series is. But so freaking entertaining and funny. Major kudos.
One of your very best. Laughed all the way through it. Brilliant.
After years of watching the Pitch meetings, I realized that the exec's office has a very annoying phone ringing all the time. Now I can't un-hear it. Wow wow wow wow wow
But it was referenced in Pitch meeting pitch meeting ;)
Wow
I love that, at 1080p / 100% zoom, the final "wow" wraps to the next line.
I HATE you for revealing this to me
Welcome to the party pal.gif
"People are gonna theorize." "I'm gonna make you pay for that..." Quite literally. We do PAY for it
You actually give Disney money and don’t pirate it? After they filmed Mulan next to modern day concentration camps just as bad as the actual Holocaust? Wow wow wow wow wow
can you explain qhat that means?, that make u py for that part? i honestly didt get it
@@d.vldymyr3381 a lot of fans' theories didn't come true, and that pissed them off
@@seantds619 oh thanks i thought it meant different like actual paying with money
@@seantds619 Oh what you didn't mean literal paying with money? Looks like I'll have to unlike your comment
"I'm gonna make ya pay for that." 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
7:28 and on you can hear the pain and disappointment in his voice
Screenwriter: "it's going to be about how she was pulling all the evil strings all along, how she killed a dog..." Producer: "That's the perfect opening for John Wick to enter the MCU! Wow wow wow"
I made that joke to my friends. 🤣
LMFAO
Someone call keanu
More like "Bow wow Bow wow wow"
yesn't
The most justified "I'm gonna need you to get off my back" in the history of the series.
I literally subscribed just for the pitch meetings.
I just realized that there is Vision in MCU. Wanda's vision. White, but with ALL OF VISION'S MEMORIES. He wasn't mentioned once in the Multiverse of Madness
“That’ll teach people to theorize” oof
Yeah! Take THAT New Rockstars!!!
That hurt.
*explodes the mephisto train*
“I, Mephisto, am inevitable.” “And I am Ralph Bohner. Heh, boner.”
The way he said that line... very passive-insane.... 😂
Summed it up perfectly, I was so proud of Jimmy.
DPadGamer is here?!
The character growth we didn't know we needed.
First time I saw it: "I understood that reference!"
Jimmy woo - Sorcerer Supreme
Yeah he is really talented 😍
"I'll make you pay for that." 😭🤣🤣
All that needs to be said about Marvel in a nutshell. Concise and to the point, as usual. Sometimes I wonder why I even watch movies and TV when all I _could_ do is watch Pitch Meetings and have the rest of my life off.
They do catch you up on all the major plot holes
The effort that Marvel will put into having a character fight someone who is the exact same as them is astounding
Its kind of a rule of the MCU
I was actually lulling during the finale when I realized that all of this once again resulted in the hero fighting an evil version of themselves -- for both Wanda and Vision. Classic friggin' Marvel movie.
