Not a single one of those people have the IQ or self-awareness to ask the question WHY is it a timeless classic still talked about 4 generations later. • I think Disney is being disrespectful of one of its important classics with the casting of someone who doesn't respect the original film! Yes, the film has many dated elements, but it has stood the test of time and I was surprised as to how it actually establishes the relationship between the Prince & Snow White thus making his appearance at the end and freeing her with true love's kiss less problematic! Sure they have about as much interaction as the Prince in Cinderella does with his future wife, but its understandable as Snow White is an older fairy tale! Still the Live Action remakes have always been soulless cash grabs which remove elements Disney executives & film makers deem problematic! Personally I'd say they should just scrap the whole darn thing!

    • Of course they're okay with it. She was *coached* on what to say in those interviews. EVERYBODY gets coached on what to say when they're promoting a new movie. The whole line about "she's not gonna be saved by the prince, and she's not gonna be dreaming of true love. She's gonna dreaming of becoming the leader she knows she can be" comes across as totally canned and phony PR copy. Notice too that Gal Godot is actually the one that prompts her to go into that talking point. They've BOTH been prepped on what to say, and Gal is steering he less experienced costar to keep the interview on track. In fact, it's the interviewer that actually starts the whole topic of modernizing Snow White (which means it's likely that the whole interview is canned and pre-scripted). I do think that Zeigler has a naturally awkward and grating personality that doesn't know when to shut up, and that the "weird-weird" and "that's Hollywood, baby" lines are probably her own improvisations. If you watch Gal Godot in the same interview, she supports Zeigler on the main talking points but doesn't come across as obnoxious and trashy. She comes across as a professional that's pushing the company line, but she doesn't come across as being vulgar or trashy like Zeigler.

What always struck me as funny about the interview is that you can actually see Zegler looking down and counting off the talking points on her fingers when she gets to the "fearless, fair, brave and true" line. The original Prince was super clumsy and by feminist standards today he is exactly the type of man they want to portray, a clumsy oaf good-for-nothing! They should have kept the Original plot, not the original Disney plot. I can't wait to see Daily Wire's rendition strictly because they are sticking to the more-original story as re-told by the Grimm Brothers in 1812.

For years, Disney shows have portrayed the husbands/dads as dumb oafs as well, even to the point of condescending back talk of their kid audience. Meanwhile, the wife/mother was portrayed as the wise one. And the reason Disney is now doing this to all their action movies, where men/boys are their primary audience? The chick-flick rom-com genre has for years been the base for drawing women/girl audiences, but that doesn't sell well globally, and Disney wants all movies now to be Billion $$ movies. So Disney abandoned the chick-flick rom-com, and enshittified action movies in a way intended to draw in women/girl audiences. Sorry to inform you and your overpaid marketers Disney, you can't have it both ways. Women hate Marvel and action movies, and guys now see them for the feminist pulpits they are.

  • The LOTR and The Hobbit movie did a better job portraying dwarves that this live-action diaperfire. A live-action movie is suppose to pay homage to the animated classic while introducing something new - NOT INSULT EVERY SINGLE FAN, HUMAN AND ANIMAL ON THE GODDAMN PLANET!!!!

    • But they didn't cast any dwarves. Just normal sized humans with camera tricks making them shorter. Also, Tolkien's dwarves are depicted as every one of them having beards, including the women. That's a stereotype taken too far.

    • @@SeanWheeler100 Dwarves do have beards. They have been described like that in folktales for centuries. It’s no different than fairy having wings. We are talking about fairytale characters. They don’t have to be 100% humane and relatable 🤦‍♀️ But I agree that short characters should be played by short actors. And dwarves in Hobbit movies were written really well. Each of them had own unique personality dreams and skills. Original Snow White dwarves were like each other’s clones..

  • Snow White is literally the first movie Disney ever did, its just too old to be remade. Songs of the South had more diverse elements than Snow White, and they won't even show that movie anymore. This was all but guarantied to be ruined in a remake, the only question was, just how bad would it be ? I was actually interested in how bad the 'diverse magical people' would be, since that was almost 100 % guarantied to be awful, but now we have to settle for some 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' level CGI dwarves, which kind of defeats the whole point of a 'live action' remake, and will probably only be below average, instead of bottom of the barrel.
