can u do a video on- Me 262 vs P-51 mustang?
Is it just me or that soviet/russian weapons are more fun to use hahaha🤣🤦♀️
@@richelle9563 it most certainly requires team work.
Great Teamwork Guys.
Happy 4th of July, GS. Hope you have a great week.
''Happy independence day everyone'' Also plays USSR anthem...
Lmao
Was waiting for this
@@GrowlingSidewinder was funny tho.
It's the Russian one. Different lyrics ;)

@@genericusername166 noooo 24 ( mi 24 )
Thanks for explaining.... I couldn't figure out what that was.... made complete sense after reading ur comment! Great mother russia engineering!🤓🧐😳
2:16 the sound isnt edited, thats just the sound the rotorblades of the hind make
It is the same exact sound when a few surviving Mils return from Afghanistan.
@@bastadimasta like in Syria apche lost all control burned chip a crashed becuse of crashuka, look att it on hand of Syria 🖕 Ps strong us president hahahhiho
😂 USA and nato lost in Afghanistan my good and Russia helped us in beggining also mil took chinook like a toth pic to us base so it would not fall in isis hands 😂, think if Russia gave them weapons like USA did to bin Laden against soviet, so now USA and nato lost the war, us pussys can't go to war alone any where, oh Vietnam and they did good score booin us body bags returned,
@@thebigone9781 you high son?
@@thebigone9781 You should see a doctor for that stroke. Or did they lobotomize you last time?
Longshot got tired of being owned by the Hind, so he became the Hind.
“If you can’t beat them, steal their job”
GS had his vodka this morning, and felt dangerous.
I can imagine the mechanics watching you bring back a hind covered in bullet holes and thinking "damn it, not again."
"This is the third time this week..."
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
2:16 Mother Russia will be proud
Love those helicopter videos, they are a nice change from the usual stuff.
2:16 Imagine being a citizen in the Syrian countryside and you see a Hind flying that low.
And the Russian anthem coming out loud from side-mounted speakers.
Seeing the peaches in the trees was true Eagle Dynamics wizardry.
I'm a syrian and they fly always few metres above my place THEY ARE AMAZING🔥❤ And we see mi-28s,ka-52s, and some sukhois as well
It would be pretty beautiful and very loud asf
It happened with me , many times . So noisy
The initial takeoff from a high hover surprises me. I spent about 12 years in the U.S. Army flying OH-58s and AH-64s, and the "intel" on the Hind was that it didn't have much surplus power, so the crew would generally use a rolling take-off whenever possible. As a matter of fact, we often used rolling takeoffs in AH-64s when we were using a paved runway, and we had plenty of surplus power. A rolling take-off takes a lot less power and uses up a lot less gas, and that might be the difference in barely making it back or not. There was a well-known story within the scout-attack community about an AH-1S and a Hind playing a dangerous "show me what you can do" game along the inter-German border. They were scooting along parallel to each other and the Cobra executed an NOE quick-stop. The Hind tried to duplicate the maneuver but didn't have enough power. He "fell through" and crashed. I wasn't there, so I can't swear that it's true. But I think every Cobra pilot in the Army at the time (mid-1980s) believed that it was true. An AH-64 would have a big advantage over a Hind in a 1v1 in the real world. I guess it goes without saying that in the real world, the Hind would generally have a wingman at the very least.
@@noidontthinksolol You don't say! And here I was thinking it was real life. Thanks ever so much for clearing up my misunderstanding.
@@RANDALLBRIGGS dont waste your time on fools like this, that was a great read broski
An old article in I think Air & Space magazine that interviewed one of the US Army pilots that evaluated examples of the Hind mentioned that the Hind's large wings interfere with the rotor downdraft, limiting its ability to hover.
My local flight club shares the airport with a helicopter military base that mostly operates Hinds, seen them takeoff and fly around plenty of times. They seem to hover around just fine, but they obviously fly without any weapons under the wings.
The later hinds were lighters since they dropped the armor on the old transport area.. that probably helped a lot with the p:w ratio The VMA version of the engine that took produciton from 90's is also significantly more powerful than the older ones
Keep in mind that the majority of the Hinds frame was armored to withstand hits from anything up to and including a .50 cal. And the blades were made of titanium. Thicc gurl.
Yeah but it is a bit ridiculous in DCS lmao.
That part when the MiG-21s showed up to support was really cool! I love seeing multiple aircraft types working together.
09:50 GS: "oh my God".... God: "you have a flying tank, what else do you want from me?!"....
that rocket attack at 7:29 was gnarley! I've been practicing more with the Hind and it's starting to grow on me. awesome mission/video.
GS and longshot is the best duo❤❤
You can feel the evolution of GS and LS frome the way they fly and shoot respectively.. you two have come a long way from bumbling around in Hueys and i love it 🤙🤙
2:20 : our helicopter
GS: Happy US independence day also GS: Rossia - sviashennaia nasha derzhava, Rossia - lubimaia nasha strana! Just loving that 😂
Good job controlling the cockpit/ crew coordination, GS.
How you two survived that is beyond me 😆 you were able to get so close without leaving behind half of your Hind for the rebels to pick up. Nice video, keep these coming!
The part you passed low altitude above tanks was perfect !
Great vid! I am just getting the hang of this beast myself. Clumped together target like that is a hearty breakfast for the Hind.
MI8 , MI24, UH1 and AH1. For me iconic helicopters.
I feel like close non-lethal explosions should Shellshock open-air AA crews, stacking up to 20-30 seconds depending on the volume of fire. They were shooting you in the middle of a freaking rocket barrage!
opposite factions' soldiers are afflicted by Fundamentalist Berserk which gives you a -20% accuracy penalty, however negates any initiative penalties coming from Shellshock or Surprise Attacks. The affliction once contracted also has a property of a 30% percent chance of never wearing off.
"I see one truck" There are actually more than six over there lol
Nice little touch there with the soviet anthem.
It's actually the post-1991 Russian anthem I think, the lyrics are different.
Russian, changed lyrics, no Lenin or the Party :P
GS really knows how to turn his fans on. Happy 4th!
Thanks for another great video! I had never noticed that the trees have fruit on. I guess it just goes to show how low you were flying!
Za rodinu! Za Growlinga Sidewindera! Translation: "For the Motherland! For Growling Sidewinder!"
Those one-on-one flying lessons from Casmo really paid off.
You guys are the best duo ever in Dcs=) you can communicate well, and good shots as well with thise ATGM's, its like the ones I'm watching in news =)
Yep, music definitely can elevate things :) Good job!
2:16 I felt more inspired than while watching annual Victory Day parades here in Moscow. Really impressive teamwork!
Thank you @ GROWLING SIDEWINDER .FOR THE HELI VIDS MAN . IT RELE CALMS MY SOUL. BEEN THRU ALOT IN THE PAST 4 DAYS . MY JEEP CAUGHT FIRE LAST NITE .SO DEALING WITH THAT .. QUICK QUESTION...THE NEXT HELI VID YOU DO...CAN YOU SEE HOW SNEAKY YOU CAN BE LIKE THE AH 64 ? OR SEE HOW FAR YOU CAN GET WITHOUT BEING DETECTED
Special thanks for the ANTHEM! And happy independence day man!
Great Video ! Love this , flying tank!
You do have a pretty good example of Mi-35s working in pairs in Syria - there's tons of vids of that over the Internet
I have a blast watching you and Longshot fly the helicopter it makes my day
I like this one! :) Nothing is better than good old-style ground attack mission. :)
holy crap just wow good job growling sidewinder
Holy shit, you handle that beast pretty well now! Love your flying!
It's so cozy in a gunship. Just you and a friend enjoying the day.
*Growling Sidewinders salutes his Canadian and Americans (USA) viewers Me, a Colombian: *Cries in Spanish😓😭😭
awesome composing, love to see more
oh my god, longshot as a gunner...it's going to be 4th of July all over the place!
ITS LONGSHOT IN ANTI-STORM TROOPER MODE!!!!
Oh yes, I waited for this every since the HIND came out!
You have to do a Hind series of some sort, these gunship missions are really interesting
Nice job guys! Thanks!!!
Great work! Technically though, this was not a CAS mission but an Intrediction mission. Still great flying and crew coordination. What were those "close door", "open door" commands, by the way?
Guessing targeting sensor for the gunner from the way it was used.
The targeting system on the Hind is optical only, and it's depiction in game is from the 70's. It has a bunch of gyroscopes inside to give it some stabilization. The problem is that if the helo makes some hard maneuvers, the gyros reach their gimbal limits and lock. It may damage the system, and it is modelled in the game. When the gunner close the doors, it closes the optical window and brakes all gyroscopes, then allowing for hard maneuvering. When everything is done and you turn back to target, the gunner must open the doors again, allowing the gyros to speed up and stabilize. It takes about 15 seconds for that, and while the gunner is looking for and guiding to targets, the pilot must maintain a mostly level and straight flight. Good thing the Hind is armored. That's why you need good crew coordination on this beast.
@@sloppydog4831 Thank you sir! Much obliged! Always learning something new for you fine young men!!
@@sloppydog4831 No wonder the Shturm missile doesn't seem to be in such wide favor amongst Hind operators. With that level of complexity needed to fire an ATGM I'd rather just go full on with the rockets and 30mm and forget the ATGM.
Best soundtrack ever man
Perfect timing
Thnks for the video! You are a great team.
Those external shots of the chopper in flight are so cool! Shame you are probably getting chewed over by the crew chief when you get back to base!
smooth landing :D
at 2:16 love how you u admire the mi 24
nice Video keep on doing this stuff
The mi24 is one beautiful machine
Good stuff right here !
Great video! More air to ground/coop.
Really can take a beating. Beast is amazing. More of an air interdiction or strike mission.
The soundtrack really sold it
All these Hind videos make me want an Apache matchup even more.
I loved your helis videos they are a change from usual video
you should make another version of “i’m a cat person with grumman aircraft dating from wwII-present
must say that black Pit looks very cool :) mabye ill try it also :)
Great video. I enjoyed it immensely! But.. I'm curious as to WHY you haven't released a video of the M2K fighting the Tomcat..
love the content mate g'day from Australia
damn this is fun to watch can i have more please :D
I know this game must be super rewarding, once you learn how to fly, get all the gear, make new online buddies. Like the clan and multiplayer stuff looks epic AF. I honestly just can't be buggered learning all the controls =)
Eh the controls come with time. Plenty rewarding to just be able to start a jet from memory and line it up on the runway without causing a massive crash.
Happy Independence Day from your neighbor to the North.
Comrade GS, it was very glorious of you to put the Russian Anthem in your video on the 4th of July
I got mad anime intro vibes with that little music montage 😂
love it and happy july 4
And today i find out why they call the Mi-24 Hind the flying tank.... scary stuff.
Almost reminded me of the beginning of Hunt for the Red October.
LongShot as gunner? Hmmm
haha he redeemed himself in this one.
NOW this is a way too show off a new Chopper!
that unguided rockets barrage tho... pure bbq sauce
The Hind really is like a flying MBT!
Good work
I can't help feeling that the canopy strut on the right forcing you to come in target from right to left is a design flaw that could be exploited by your enemies!
The only thing missing is the "Return Fire" sound track. ;)
When I saw LongShot in the gunner seat I know every sand in the dessert are gonna take the bullet
A dual between a mig 15 and me 262, would be intersting, aswell as a mustang pd, vs f18 hornet, cool vids
The Soviet/Russian anthems are beautiful pieces of music (minus the lyrics). The Hind is a most awesome helicopter, probably one of the best in history. The two parts match up perfectly. Thank you.
I prefer the ah-64 Apache helicopter and happy 4th of July freedom
The coast guard properly ID's targets by lighting them up with 20 mike mike.
And what is Aleppo?
They don't have a clue.
nice, it can take some hits
For a second there sir, I could have sworn I heard... Singing.
Now it is time for a Mi 24 vs. Mi 24 video.
2:31 has gained you a sub
Nice, was hoping for more chopper content.
"Uhhh pilot, bring me to a hover at around 20 meters near the treeline please...
Nice mission.
Damn is your back ok after that landing lolz
TROOPS POV: HOLY HECK THAT MUCH DAMAGE FROM ONE HELI!
