Man this is bringing back memories of when I worked on Paradox and we had to figure out how to make the Achilles interceptor not fly backwards after implementing dogfighting.
So what Archilles interceptor the model looks like?....hm
seems the CE jets still do random horizontal drifts which is so funny I suspect they decided to keep that as a feature

according to the devs the actual damage should be way higher since the demo is shot early in the development stage
I've heard rumors that this video was shot in an earlier version of the testing beta, in the latest (unreleased) version the Ares is about twice as effective against large aircraft. Guess we'll see soon.
To add more realism on the Kirov, the main searchlight should point on the target while the 2nd searchlight point on the source of enemy incoming fire or randomly search the ground when the Kirov is not under attack

lol have u ever done any modding? there is ALOT that can be done to things cooler or more real, but the codding required is simply not worth it, with the time u are putting on that u can make bunch of other things, what u just said is one of them.
Useless detail which requires time and money that could be spent on something more important and urgent like the huge balance issues.

the more I see these new units, the more I think "this has to have like unique new campaign mode with it, it feels almost like mental omega"

@@jerichoazariah180 i enjoy mental omega but ended became Waifu alert 2 like 2d anime like Libra yunru that i ignored the plot focused about gameplay never uses those 2d anime girls and big sickle called Centurion...still i like how still make reference of RA3 units and Unused units and designs about make me happi but after seing Libra v tuber in ra2? Anyway this mod campaign isn't out yet..
@@artken4901 I didn't really get turned off by the 2D anime girl portrait, to me it was probably the closes step to get IRL actors and actresses to pose in front of a camera, so yeah I thought it was cool.
I'm glad the corona mod has raised the bar for this game
I guess using collider technology fits the theme of the allied. But if the Ares use the spectrum dispersion cannon like the one on the mirage tank it'd also fit the theme and add some variety to air weapons.
Well that might be a good idea for air upgrade for allied late game. Since in late game every faction has anti missile defense system, so missile weapons unless fired enmassed are basically useless late game. Ares interceptor with spectrum laser upgrades would be great.
I believe the old patch, they were using Collider Canon, but probably try to distinguish it from other fraction as well as promote counter play. They change it to Missile. From what I heard, they were designed to Counter Heavy Air(Century, Kiov, Celestial MCV), and they were very dominating in that aspect. It looks like what they decide to do is change this into a Range/Weapon Load Advantage vs Missile drawback (which can be shotdown). Also keep in mind, according to the Dev, the patch they used to shot the video somehow is bugged and the damage of Ares is halved for some reason

so overall it deals more damage than the competition but has a very slow fire rate in exchange
It is the main point of Allied Photon collided weaponry. - Deals insane damage but has a slow attack. - The weapon is useful against a large enemy but ineffective against a small one. - Deals vast aoe damage. - Long range.
@@hidefreek6905 I was expecting that they'd use the original concept of the Apollo fighters in RE3. In the game wiki, the Apollo was intended to carry a spectrum cannon like that on the mirage tank. But I guess collider technology is also unique to the allied so it still fit the theme.
@@minhducnguyen9276 I think because the effectiveness of spectrum cannon is good against heavy units. (Prism tank can kit light and medium armor to some extent but deals baby damage against Apoc, so technically useless against Kirov and may be an upgrade for Apollo instead) Also, Photon colliding missile is more fitting to take out heavy air units than Cryo or Future tank weapons as well.
@@hidefreek6905 In the red alert 3 timeline, the prism technology was lost, what replaced it was the spectrum cannon technology which has shorter range but deal heavy damage to all types of units. The mirage tank in RA3 didn't have a prism projector like the prism tank but what they called a spectrum dispersion cannon. That's why the mirage tank can hit so hard even against the apocalypse tank. They said the spectrum cannon couldn't be fitted on the Apollo because the light reflected from the target even at a fraction of the original beam intensity was enough to temporary blind the pilots. While the spectrum cannon beam can hit hard, it's a short range weapon and coupled with the fact that it can blind the pilot I can see why it couldn't be used on an interceptor.

anyone else notice that one hydrofoil try to use its no fun allowed jammer on the giant unit, for some reason it gave me a vibe of "it was that moment he fucked up." and "haha I'm in danger." when the jammer wasnt working on all of the guns like in base game.

This version of the Ares seems a bit weaker than the previous version that uses a proton cannon instead of missiles, which could be intercepted. It would be fine if the missile speed is faster and with splash damage like the Soviet MiG. The Model reminds me of the GDI Firehawk which is cool.

This mod is litterally outta this world, is it still being worked on? Would love to see future tech faction added properly or new units added to the existing factions. Very balanced, very fun. Keep up the awesome work. I've tried all kinds of mods but non come close, shame we don't have the units from uprising added or new units to the barracks in the soviets or allies for example

The skin and design is so dope, only 1 question,how does it even “float”? As in “hover”
The missile speed seems too slow. Maybe by increase the speed 25% more it will be better. But It's okay currently, as long the missile has splash damage in the air.
So it's a long rang anit captail sniper interesting. From what I recall of RA3 most units had a ault mode or special ability dose this have one? Perhaps a stunning rocket that could slow down enemy captail air ships.
For aircraft with ammo, its usually replaced with a fly back to base.
That flying fortress stole the whole show lol

Is it just me or yellow much suited primary color for celestial empire? I mean they use solar/sun power related to all their technology and units, sun look yellow, also it means warmth in China, doesn't it?

It could only jam the secondary cannons of the base. The primary cannons, missile arrays, and CIWS would remain functional.

There was one but it was shelved for a bit due to it being too buggy (it was intended to be a floating airfield that not only has Sky Knight UAVs but also the ability to build and field standard Allied aircraft).

almost all (except celestial) interceptors have missile based attacks
to me it looks a little bit like the F-14 Tomcat.

The airship is actually the Celestial MCV but in its mobile form and isn't from the Empire of the Rising Sun
It's an EPIC unit, that's basically asking an assault destroyer to eliminate a Giga Fortress.
i am expecting the "america f*** yeah" to kick in any moment and it doesn't to my disapointement.....

So a high damage, slow rate of fire, dedicated to destroy anything phat and cant fight back. Why wasn't this unit in uprising to begin with? Like seriously, the Empire rising sun giga fortress was uber busted and to make it worse, by the time you see the giga fortress, your done. 2:59 hold the fuck up, I noticed a air bay without 2 additional landing pads, is that the support pad like the ones in kane's wrath?

Seems rather disappointing for such large air to air missiles but don't cause much damage. The new fighter lost 1 on 1 to celestial empire entry level fighter? US supposed to have greatest air power in the world.
We meet again from that Nassault video. Also, stats are subjected to change. They are mostly showing off the concept and visual. Edit: I think the upside are the missile range, longer engagement time, and higher damage overall when compared to the Flanker. i
Ares do significant more damage to t3,t4 air units, but do less damage to t1,t2 air units.

@@jayjay53313 some Allies and CE units have ability to intercept missiles but still have it own limit so you can overcome it with number or use bullet type weapon. If 4 ares fire their missiles simultaneously CE mothership can't intercept them all.

Yeah it feels weird. But later according to one of the dev team members, they used the wrong version of Ares for this demo video. The Ares in the correct version deals twice the damage, which would make more sense
So Overal... More damage and a bit more ammo than the Russian Vanilla equivalent, other than that it sucks....? Looks a bit Meh from this Showcase to be honest.
