  • I wish there was a fully fleahed out "natural disaster" mod, where you have the standard ones in the overworld, such as tornadoes near rivers, tsunami's near oceans, hurricanes near swamps, and volcanic eruptions near mountains, but with specialized one for each of the dimensions as well. Lava tsunamis in the nether, with random cave collapses every now and then, and lava rain that you can only avoid with at least one non-flammable block above you. Then for the end, just have islands have a small chance to fall into the void, and make it so that there can be strong winds that you can get blown away by. Just give the biomes themselves small elements of chance.

  • If we imagine a scenario where water and lava can spread infinitely, there are a few factors to consider: **1. Physics:** Water and lava have different physical properties. Water is much denser than lava, which means it can flow more quickly and cover larger areas in a shorter amount of time. Lava, on the other hand, is thicker and slower-moving due to its higher viscosity. **2. Temperature:** Lava is molten rock that can reach extremely high temperatures, often over 1,000°C (1,800°F) or more. Water, even in its boiling state, usually doesn't exceed 100°C (212°F). This extreme heat of lava can lead to more significant thermal effects on the environment and surrounding materials. **3. Environmental Impact:** Both infinitely spreading water and lava would have devastating environmental impacts. Infinitely spreading water could flood and erode landscapes, potentially causing soil erosion, habitat destruction, and displacement of populations. Infinitely spreading lava would cause destruction due to its extreme heat and ability to incinerate anything in its path, including buildings and vegetation. **4. Geological Effects:** Lava is associated with volcanic activity, and if it were to spread infinitely, it could lead to the creation of new landforms over time, such as shield volcanoes or lava plateaus. Infinitely spreading water might lead to changes in coastal geography and the formation of new bodies of water. **5. Human Interaction:** Both scenarios would pose significant challenges for human societies. Infinitely spreading water could lead to the need for extensive flood management and relocation efforts. Infinitely spreading lava would require evacuation and protection strategies to keep people safe. In reality, the concept of "infinitely spreading" substances is not feasible due to the constraints of the physical world. The spreading of water and lava is influenced by various factors such as terrain, viscosity, temperature, and other environmental conditions. Additionally, these scenarios would have profound implications for the Earth's ecosystems and human infrastructure, and managing such events would be a monumental challenge.

  • Jesus, lava falls so fast in the nether it’s scary!!! I was mining for Ancient Debris, and I found lava, and I didn’t know how far it would follow me! So I booked it, waited a minute, then checked the damage. It was pretty far spread.

  • that looks like a volcano 2nd commentary: for the nether it would be fun to create a little house in the nether then see a huge lava tsunami and the flooded nether looks so epic ngl 3rd commentary: imagine a gameplay where every few days a water source duplicator appears every 5 days and the water source duplicator (thats what i call it) will appear 20 blocks above ground and it will only spread to the nearby 400 chunks, also modify it to make it break stuff like glass, doors and stuff, that makes you do stuff like anti tsunami bases or stuff like that lol i would find it pretty fun

  • 4:36 man that has to be a really horrible fate. Your village has been flooded and youre able to stay over the water with plenty, yet limited food supplies. There is no way out but death, and its no easy one, you either drown slowly or burn in the lava, maybe if you accept the long way out you will starve to death, all alone.

  • Now start up a server where it fills gradually with lava and players have to try and survive it. You can artificially limit the size of the map to only be 100 chunks so that it happens smoothly. Eventually everyone will be forced underground. Then the cave wars begin.

  • anyone remember back in MC classic there was a short period when there was a glitch that made lava spread infinitely? one of my earliest memories of minecraft was on this random server with a bunch of other people trying to contain a lava leak but then the server crashed from it rofl

    • Very late obviously, but I just wanted to correct you by saying it wasn't actually a glitch, that was just how minecraft's liquid physics worked back then. I don't think I even need to tell you why it was changed. (absolutely not sorry for necroposting).
