The development of psychology allowed scientists to study the biological processes in the human brain, emotions, behavior, and reactions. This information gives us an understanding of our own actions. It also makes it easier for people to control others.
Do you ever wish that you could make people agree with you, like you, or remember you with a snap of your fingers? Believe it or not, it's actually possible - you just have to know a couple of tricks. They work on a subconscious level and help you win another person’s trust or get somebody’s approval. Bright Side will share 10 tips that work every time and can be useful in any situation.
TIMESTAMPS:
Mirror your opponent's body language to make them trust you 0:37
Use the word “because” to have it your way 1:27
Pause to give your words a bigger effect 2:45
Stay silent to find out more 4:02
Be the first or last one to make them remember you 4:40
Sit next to your opponent to receive less criticism 5:18
Ask someone for a favor to change their perception of you 5:57
Use contrasts to get what you want 6:57
Nod slightly to make someone agree with you 7:34
Draw a triangle with your eyes to stop the conversation 8:11

SUMMARY:
- If you want someone to like and trust you, mirror their body language - especially their poses and gestures. The most important thing is to be smooth about it.
- During a heated discussion, every opinion has to be heard, but only one will be chosen as the final one. If you want it to be yours, simply use the word “because” with your reasoning!
- If you want them to remember what you said and really think about it, add a pause after the statement. This simple trick will help you put all the right emphases in your speech.
- If you want to get everything out of another person, you shouldn't insist or be too demanding about it. Simply stay silent, and they'll tell you everything!
- If you're doing an important interview, try to arrange things so that you’ll be the first or last person seen.
- Let's say you know that your colleague or boss plans to lash out about your work skills at an upcoming meeting. How can you prevent a total disaster? Sit right next to them!
- Ask someone for a favor to change their perception of you. This psychological trick is also known as the Benjamin Franklin effect.
- One of the most popular psychological manipulation techniques is to ask for something way bigger than what you actually want.
- To get the positive response you need, nod slightly while asking the question. Remember to maintain eye contact with your opponent!
- Look your opponent in one eye, then in the other one, and then at their forehead. Keep “drawing” this triangle shape for the rest of the convo. They'll soon get the message on the subconscious level and say their goodbyes.

    • Introverts pass a lot of time inside their own heads, they reflect a lot on other peoples actions. As a result, it is easier for them to spot a manipulator. I can say that because I've been on both sides of the personality spectrum through my life: solitary introvert to extrovert leader. In any case, there's no doubt it is easier to be the leader if you are an extrovert.

  • One of the tricks I use- When you want to manipulate a person into doing something huge for you, spend more time with that person. Converse with the person more often. Through that, learn what that person wants the most, and then give them a little taste of it. That will excite them and they will do anything for you.

    • Same. It is very easy to manipulate low self esteem people. As they are people pleaser, they are shy to refuse you so It is easy to get what you want from them. It almost close to "using them". But some people are aware of it and they allow that you use them. They are very submissive and they are attracted to dominant and manipulative people. I have dark side but I am not afraid to show the real me to people. I attract the exact people or target people in my life easily.

  • I actually used most of these on the first day of my new high school. I'm REALLY shy, and my new school was close to my old one. I lived in a small town and I had run ours from my old school so as you can imagine the first day I started I already heard kids whispering about me. I watched carefully to see what the most down to earth group was to hang out with. I had an abrasive appearance because I was going through my tough stage. But I had a plan. 1) The first period sit on my own, just observe everybody 2) Second-period sit next to the "leader" of the group 3) copy their body language (one arm under the chest and another arm on the table pointing up to lean on) 4) Ask them for a pen 5) See he had a Pokemon keychain and a messy book so I doodled Charizard on my paper 6) let him so the rest. It worked super well and we are actually still close friends :)

  • When first being introduced to someone (when a handshake is expected), extend your hand with your palm “sideways”. This way, when they respond, they will have to assume the same hand position. If you have your hand extended, palm up, and they have theirs palm down, they will assume a superior attitude. In reverse, with YOUR palm down, they will have to extend their hand palm up, that makes them feel lesser than you. Side by side hands show that you are willing to work on an even plane.

    @robinsherrod2973@robinsherrod29735 жыл бұрын
    • You're correct and that's exactly why you should go sideways with your palm because it will make people feel equal and then they will trust you more. You could also go underneath so they feel like they're in power when really you are and you can manipulate them.I personally wouldn't go over because it gives off a tone of "I'm in control over you,"and then they'll be harder to manipulate.

  • The whole triangle thing at the end - this is how I naturally make eye contact. I’m 36 yrs old and wondered why all my life I can’t get someone to wanna keep the conversation going… if I make direct eye contact, I get very distracted and can’t fully listen to the person (I have ASD). But if I alternate between looking at their left eye, right eye, and forehead and although I do it consistently, it’s more like every 10 seconds rather than consistently drawing triangles with my eyes. People say it looks like I’m making eye contact when I do this, although I feel like I look like I have shifty eyes.. although I do notice when I’m talking to someone, when they make eye contact with me, they get distracted and almost have an expression on their face like they’re not sure what to make of me. But this was great and I really enjoyed ur tips. Saved it to my “life skills” playlist.. haha

(Try to arrange you being the last or first person seen) 6.)sit next to opponent to revieve less criticism 7.) ask for a favor and be grateful when u receive it 8.) ask for sun way bigger then ask for sun smaller but still be big then slowly ask to what u want so what I want won’t still seem so big 9.) knots slightly but slikly to make someone agree w u. 10.) look at eyes then forehead to make someone leave the conversation

When they are forced to tackle that accusation, you can slowly bring it down and get to admit that they at least did the lower one which is exactly what you wanted them to admit from the start. Like it's that he bluffs that he's gonna hit you... He just did tried to do that to me again today... (I often get trapped by his trick)😁 But today I unintentionally had an eye contact with him before he just bent down...and whoa...!!😃 Suddenly he just got paused and....his trick failed hilariously....😂😂😂😂 I made it...finally...😂😂😎
