@@padamjain7005 its great, processor is good you can play any game battery will last for more than a day and fully charges in about 1 hour and 10 mins and I haven't had any lags, also it has gone down in price. So it a very good phone for the price.

As a person who owned a Samsung J5 from 2016 for 4 years, the A71 was a huge upgrade for me and also having a price i was willing to pay for. @@lewisevander it has less resolution, if im not wrong, the LG V30 has a 2k resolution vs the 1080p of the A71 However I think the quality isnt much worse, I think the experience is almost the same , and the most noticeable difference will be in the size of the display The display of A71 is much bigger

My husband broke his 1k iPhone and needed a phone for work while he waited for his new phone to come in. So I went to target and bought the Galaxy a21 and gave him my iPhone ... WOW. I wasn't expecting much for 200 bucks but I am a forever android gal now! Im waiting for my update to get the a71 😁😁

The best parts of the a71 is the weight it is super light for such a big display, the thin body easy in your pockets, the headphone jack is awesome, the flat display is good wish the aspect ratio was wider like 19:9 instead of 20:9 and the price bought mine new for 280 shipped. It is an awesome phone overall for the price.
I bought mine on July and I can't complain about it. I love the quality of the cameras, the performance and the battery as well the fast charging. Still strong.

Literally ordered this yesterday lmao. Got the 8gb, 4G version for 368. Reassuring to hear that you believe this phone will still hold up well throughout 2021. Having a top tier camera was never a priority for me (display/screen real estate was. It’s what mostly turned me off from the Pixel. Pixel is a nice size but combined with the fact it had no storage expansion or headphone jack made the decision easier as well) so if the camera is the first to show its age in 2021, I’m ok with that. Also just wanna say, your videos helped me tremendously in deciding which phone to get. Started out with wanting the a21. Then from watching your videos it gradually morphed from the a21 to the a21s to the a51 to the a71 to the s20 FE . Throw in some Note 10 lite/Pixel/Moto G/OnePlus pit stops along the way as well lol. A long journey, lots of research and it ultimately came down to the s20 FE vs the a71. Watched some comparison videos and the s20 FE sure did best the a71 in almost every performance category. But only marginally. Not worth the almost 250 price bump imo. S20 FE’s camera trounced the a71, but again, camera was never at the top of my priority list. I was also in agreement with you that the 5G version of this phone held no appeal to me. If I was going to pay what the A71S’s asking price is, I’d much rather go with the S20 FE. So thank you for all your videos, comparisons and camera comparisons. Helped a lot. Subbed and liked all your helpful vids.

This phone is great. Its like having a good laptop with all the legacy i/o. the fact we get a pretty modern phone with expandable storage, a headphone jack, an in display finger print reader, great battery, and an all around clean experience increases the value past being a budget phone in my eyes when flagship phones have few if any of the features i just listed.
I first bought the A51 and used that phone for 10 months. It's a really nice phone and you won't be disappointed. I bought the A71, 6 weeks ago and love it. With the A51 I started talking more photos, I used the micro lens a lot for pictures of flowers and got some great results but I wanted more out of the main lens so I got the A71. Photos are sharper and colors are better and night photos are good. I feel like the screen is a little better on the A71 too, colors seem closer to real life. For the finger print scanner on either phone it's comes down to putting your finger on the right spot the right way. I have very little problem with it and it can be amazingly fast if you hit just right.

For average people like us yes I agree with you. I hate buying gadgets/appliances over and over again. I make sure I use a phone for at least 5 years, call me frugal but that’s the way I’ve been. Additionally I need to get a new phone this year, my current is reaching it’s limit(5th birthday coming up😄).

In my experience the Samsung A7x series are great midrange devices. The only limiting factor for me is the lack of more than 3 year software support and getting the most out of the cameras. I think the native beautify mode is something that should be deprecated. I personally would like to have a sharper better resolution macro camera. I agree more than 10 watt wireless charging would be an icing on the cake. With the A72 rumours I agree the upgrade from the A71 is controversial. If the macro camera was better on the A72, news of better camera software and algorithms and news of actually being able to completely turn off beautify mode in all camera settings, and wireless charging 10 watt or higher, the A72 would have been a logical upgrade. Right now it seems like a filler phone for 2021, and the A71 seems the logical buy. Would be happy to pay 10 dollars extra for much better software for the camera of the A71 at this point in time. The only reason to upgrade to A72 is to have access to a better guarantee of software upgrade that you will likely not with the A71. A72 will have a better processor for performance and games, but an overall better package to the cheaper but almost just as good A71 (or A70 in my view) is arguable. For Samsung it is only but a slight iteration and a potential another cash cow midrange device. If they were serious with good service they would have invested more in a longer and frequent software upgrade service for the A7x series now on the market, and have a better multicam setup and introduction of wireless charging in the A72. The main focus seems the hype of the a72's new processor. But with current good performance in the A70 and A71 it has become a less interesting proposition (in my view) . For a better processor my immediate focus would be the upper midrange and flagships. If Samsungs goal is to fill up another space in the midrange, the A72 feels off this year, and better wait what the the A73 brings. I'm hapilly thrilled Samsung still provides dual sim, and microsd support and headphone jack. I hope sincerely these features stay in the A7x (and lower) trademark specs sheets.
Had mine nearly 3 years now and its been brilliant. Only now has it started gettimg a little screen burn up near the top, but battery life and everything else is still top notch . Would definitely recommend this phone . I will be upgrading to the a73 in a few months and will pass this down to my daughter.

Got mine 6 months ago, upgraded from the p20 lite. It was a major major upgrade. Also my dad got it 11 months ago and it's still going strong Battery life is incredible, I can't kill it in a day, around 11-12 pm when i go to sleep i still have like 20-25 %
I bought this 7 months ago! Its exceptionally cool. I mean its satisfying. Firstly the display, its top notch. Camera is also decent. Good for making reels and all that stuff . Just sometimes fingerprint sensor feels laggy. Nothing else. I bought the dull silver. If used without cover, it gives me vibes of a premium phone.
I've had my A71 for 7 months now.. still aesthetically pleasing, great screen, no lags, I'd still choose this than the a72, still a great buy for me..

After getting the poco x3 with the 120hz, i found it okay but for me if i would choose between amoled and lcd even with the higher refresh rate ill go with amoled, its more efficient and on hand it looks way way better. So i guess if you don't value gaming that much go with this phone instead if you can get it.

It might be a good idea to turn the screen sensitivity on then register your fingerprint, this helps normally for me and register that same finger 2 or 3 times, that way it has more than one register and can encrease your opening rate.

I admire the A71(4G) for many of its features. These reviews have been a great help in my decisions. I chose this over the A51 having Exynos (I was in the market looking an alternative to my J7 [2016] and had my eyes on the A51 for months but, at the last minute, found that the Exynos was the reason my J7 was overheating so the A71 [Snapdragon] became the better option). The A71 has the mix of features I was looking for. My main issues I've had within the past three months: 1) Macro camera has a tint issue when placed in an entirely green space. Can completely jump to the extreme end of the tinting spectrum and turn purple. Once the camera failed and turned off on its own but I could just turn it back on fine. 2) WiFi did not pick up the same signal strength as my J7. I did reset the WiFi settings and it did pick up a bit more, but I was just expecting A71 to do better than J7, especially with A71 having more channels. 3) In dark mode, I notice a lag (or shadow) when I'm scrolling through any features in the phone. If I'm scrolling through Settings, for example, there's a blue lagging shadow that appears. This may be due to 60 Hz refresh rate. 4) The proximity sensor does not always recognize when my face is not close to the phone in a call. If I pull the phone away, the screen still stays dark and I have to either double tap on the screen, press the side button, bring the phone back to my face or place my hand over the sensor and lift it away for the phone to recognize that it's supposed to turn the screen back on. I did report these issues through the Samsung Members app that came preinstalled and they've addressed #1, #2 and #4 issues (not satisfactorily). Awaiting a response for #3.

You (and Shane Symonds) helped me a lot with buying the A71. One and a half in size upgrade, Snapdragon chip compared to Exynos on my last phone, 3000mah 10W charging turned into 4500mah 25W charging. I'll wait until at least the A74 lol.

Excellent value and performing all touch smartphone. I have had the S7, S9 and in August 2020 upgraded to this device on an excellent carrier deal (only paid sales tax on trading S9's in) Almost all persons case their devices so the glastic back is moot and even without a case feels good (however attracts fingerprints). Performance was the 765G SOC still flies on this device. Mine just received Android 12 and One UI 4.1. This will also receive 13 and possibly 14. It will also have 4-5 years security patching updates. If you use one of these you quickly realize a "flagship" priced device is simply no longer necessary. Save the money and take your loved ones on a weekend trip for memories. 😊
Best phone I've ever had(A71 5G), and I've had mine about a year(since the 5G came out). I love it, can't think of any reason to get rid of it yet. My friend has the non 5G, and I can't tell any difference, other than certain tiny options that barely make a difference.
I agree 100%. Got the regular A71 and am.amazed at how it gives the S21 and S22 a run for their money, the A71 is big, has top quality screen, triple camera and fingerprint unlocking, and it works with Damsung Smart Tag tracking devices.

I have been using the Samsung A71 for a month now as my work device. When I first learned that my work would be using the A71 as the new device, I was worried that it would not be high end enough to use for Zoom, Teams, or even watching Netflix. A month later I can say that I have been proven wrong and am a new believer in mid-range devices. The A71 has been great for zoom calls and even a little bit of watching movies, which the 6.7-inch screen is perfect for. I would recommend this device to anyone who is planning on using their phone as a phone and not as a traveling computer. Its been great for using GPS, answering email and text, and occasionally watching Netflix. I know the last one I have already mentioned but, I really love the screen, it's big, bright and vibrant. The camera does load a little slower when opening from the lock screen, but once you're inside the phone everything opens much faster. I would say, that the phone is worth the price, which is nice because I do not feel that flagship phones are worth the price they are today. If I had to buy a phone as a work phone, this would actually be at the top of the list.

I need a new phone, like this is the first ever brand new phone I'll be getting, I've always had old cheap phones from people that didn't need them but all had issues lol. @@dweepayansensharma4437 No, it can pretty much last the whole day without needing a charge. If i where on it for 9 hours straight then yea I would. It charges pretty rapidly with superfast charging so a 30 minute charge can get you enough power to last another 5 hrs.

Nice. I have been a Sony fan most of my life and had 2 Xperia XA2 ultra's. The refurb price on it now is like 240, which is a lot less than the 400+ I paid originally. BUT- after reviewing a ton of stuff= I came across the A71. It's only 200 now though it's tied to a carrier but I never have service on my phones, so that's not relevant. thanks for the review. I originally like Xperia's camera's but the vid on it isn't the greatest and sometimes when taking photo's in darkness I have to tweak the light mode. So= gonna give this a try. The screen looks fab and I watch a lot of movies on my phone. It's amazing how much phone prices have come down. they're always gonna have the 1k phone for those who can afford it but the quality you can get right now for 400 or under is really great value. Also, though you can't easily pop new battery's in phones anymore- finding a phone that is a few years old, with the price reduction, is always the best choice. The Xperia is 4 years old and almost half the price. I don't know what this one started @ but it's down to 200- so I'm excited to buy one when I get the $$. Thanks.
5-21-22 now a year later does this need updating? I heard an A72 is out. Any differences?

A71 is a great phone. I used a A51 for about a year and that is a nice phone too but the A71 just out performs the A51 in camera, screen and smooth use. I would recommend the A71 for sure.
I had the a71 and was completely happy with it until I got the pixel 4a 6g a couple days ago. Although the pixel is a bit more expensive, I feel like it's worth it considering how much better the camera is. Also, Stock Android beats One UI any day.
I have been watching your A71 video lately and I would like Thank You for creating great review videos. I was confident in making my purchase on my A71 because of your videos. The A71 is really great for its price point right now in 2021. The 6.7 inch screen is really amazing. 👍🏼

I got the A71 5G from T-Mobile for $300, after trying out and returning the unwieldy s20 Ultra. The Ultra's curved screen sucks. There is zero advantage to a curved screen, and many disadvantages. The A71 is my interim phone, until T-Mobile offers something worth spending $1000+ for. I just returned the s21 Ultra, because of its curved screen and unwieldiness, as well. The s21+ has a flat screen, but doesn't have a spec sheet worth $1000. Waiting to see what the s21 FE will be like. In the meantime I'm using my "interim" phone, that I've had for six months. The A71 is decent enough. Definitely the best in its range.
Good phone and does what I demand it do! The only complaint is the HUGE resolution for pix and video with no chance for the operator to make the choice if reducing. In some other forums...bad ratings for that non-feature. Is there a secret setting? Thanks for the review.

@@TechDaily it is disappointing that there is still no stereo speakers for the phones. Even xiaomi budget phone now has stereo speakers and the quality is better than some flagship phones
