The grocery store is loaded with foods that contain way too much cane sugar! But luckily there are many options now that are using healthier sweetener options, like coconut sugar and maple syrup. There are plenty of low carb and keto options that use monk fruit, stevia, and erythritol combined with other high quality ingredients. Let's walk around the grocery store and how you how to avoid high sugar products and replace them with better options. Made Love!!

  • It makes me sad that eating clean and healthy is so expensive that most people cannot afford to do so. We as consumers ought to demand more from the food industry - that’s the only way they’ll be incentivized to compete and deliver better ingredients at more accessible prices.

    • I will usually do that. If I can make it myself and work it into my schedule without it affecting my stress I will also make my own products. I make my own yogurts and breads etc. already. But I will also make some other foods and stuff if it’s more affordable than the expensive option at the store. Yogurt for example is best when made at home. You get the most probiotics at their freshest point when you make it at home. The best yogurt I have available is $6.00 plus per tub (less than a quart) and I can make it for less than $1.00

I LOVE MY SWEETS.....I even tried the Reese Cups that Bobby likes, they were horrible....and cost over $3.00 for (2) little cups....I am glad I didn't like them lol.....choc. is my downfall & potato chips..... somedays I don't even eat either one, but other days I just have to have them.....I gave up Pepsi yrs. ago and rarely drink and soda drinks and if I do it's Root Beer or Ginger Ale.....so this was really no problem for me.....I don't think I have to not eat either but I keep hearing how bad sugar is for you, so I am cutting back on that....but at my age....my Son says Mom just eat what you want.....sounded good, but if I can get a few more yrs. out of NOT eating so much sugar.....I'm willing to try.....lol.....and to hear your story Charlotte, I admire you for you will power you have..... stay with you and you will be fine....keep up the good work girl.....God Bless you.....

  • I appreciate the video. The prices for those foods are outrageous. When people want to eat healthier, the food companies surely make it hard for them. We make our own baked goods, for a fraction of the cost. We mostly eat eggs but for a change, it is also easy to make you own cereal with good and healthy ingredients. Also, we are experimenting with making our own ice cream. Even though I can afford the extra money to buy the pricey brands of foods, it goes against my principles and I refuse to support their larceny. And besides, I would rather eat foods I make, not something made in a factory. I’ll keep making my own.

I recently bought monkfruit for the first time thanks to your recommendation. He loves monkfruit. I think he's using too much of it, he went through four 8 oz bags in 1 week. It doesn't really help that his Dr just says to cut back on his carbs and he refuses to see a nutritionist. So it's all me researching and trying new things.

What about a "replacement/substitute/eat this not that" video for everyday basic items that we use all the time? You may already have review a lot of these items in different videos, but I was thinking of adding in baking items - Dessi's turf 😉! Maybe show both a "Keto" and a "better for you" version, items like sugar(which you did here already), brown sugar, power sugar, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda. vanilla extract, garlic powder, seasonings and whatever else....you know what I mean.

Why are we so unhealthy now? They didnt have coconut sugar and no calorie sugar. Personally, I dont care about the calories. I care that sugar causes inflammation and insulin to rise. I dont want that. But coconut sugar hasn't been around all that long from my understanding so how do we really know it's better?

  • 🙋🏻‍♀️ I am! Bobby thank you for always being the good angel sitting on my shoulder always reminding me to do better! Admittedly during the pandemic I fell off the wagon due to panic etc. would love to see you do some content on how to either bounce back from poor pandemic diet, or how to still shop ‘well’ when availability is scarce. Oh and would love maybe a revised nut milk review. I love my coffee and find the most natural nut mills are so watery...the creamy ones have all those bad ingredients but tastes so much better, help! 🤣

  • Thanks for doing this Bobby. I know a lot of people are big on stevia now, but be careful, you need to get the raw organic stevia. Read the labels, a lot of stevia has stuff like corn maltodextrin in it as well, which is just not good.

  • My wife and I love your videos! When looking at a product we ask each other if it is Bobby approved! We both lost over 70 lbs since November. We used practically no added sugar. I have been looking for a good sugar substitute for a long time. I avoid man made ones like the plague! I've tried stevia and Lakanto. My conclusion is that there is NO substitute for sugar! I haven't tried the coconut sugar yet though. I suspect that I would not like the nutty flavor. How does it compare to sugar as far as calories?
