  • Beautiful movie. I love gardening and have been doing it since eight years old. Now I’m almost 76 years old. February 20, 2024.

  • This movie touched my heart and sparked hope for a spiritually lost son, serving prison time as I write these words. The U.S. prison system is not about rehabilitation but humiliation and profit. I pray our state leaders look closer at these institutions and govern them as if their own children were under the care of a now failing system. 🙏 God be with us all.

    • It's a beautiful movie conceptualized, unique in so many ways. Majority history sheeters can be turned to good samaritans if their hidden skills are made possible to bring forward with appreciation & recognition benefiting the society at large too irrespective of language barriers. But there's a lot of power hungry, corrupt animals like stupid, people should not forget. Thanks to all related to making of the movie, specially the Director.

  • A beautiful and inspiring movie. So many nuances about life and overcoming adversity. When he gave his speech at the parole board about realising he could be respossible for giving life, virtually, and nuturing plants to grow into something beautiful and special, it was a very inspiring moemnt. It was analogy of his own life.

    • Chiming in from Newfoundland. We have an ancient penitentiary here built in 1859, crawling with rats, and totally inhumane. About a year ago a gardening project was started there and it has been a resounding success. A lot of the inmates have never felt care and were raised not to care. Now they are learning to care, starting with plants.

  • What a darling, lovely film. Great cast, wonderful story and inspiration, perfect ending. Glad to notice the post script of how well gardening programs in the British Prison system are functioning, positively, even in to exhibiting in Garden and Flower Shows. I think a program like gardening is equal to the prison programs of rehabilitation with animal shelter “prisoners”! Gardening is about nurturing beautiful life from scratch to thriving; flourishing, so to speak. Helping domestic pets stuck in animal shelters offers nurturing and sharing unconditional love, respect and trust, thus giving a positive quality to life for all the participants. Thanks for sharing such a sweet, uplifting, inspiring film for so many on KZhead! 👍🥰❤️

Yet we see everybody, gardeners included, thinks nothing of drinking alcohol. One who refuses to drink is practically insulted, but it is one heck of a sinful habit, addicting, causing harm to innocent persons (drunk drivers can kill), and makes a human become as uncontrollable as a wild animal. What's my point? Does it make sense to encourage sinful activity in society at large and then try to reform ONLY the unfortunate addicts that do crazy things, or could we meditate more deeply about all of our actions and habits in life? Can we create a sane society where the basic sins are replaced with higher consciousness? By basic sins I mean factory farm murder of animals, I mean gambling casinos that institutionalize the rampant greed and treachery of gambling, I mean illicit sex, and I do mean inebriation of every sort, which has expanded to substance abuse of pharmaceuticals, not just whiskey, scotch, beer and wine. 😢

  • I really like movies based on true stories that are inspiring. This is fun and lively and a bit incredible with the choice the lead made. The old man with the life sentence said "You should make friends with your misfortunes, otherwise you will always be angry". 🌺Loved all the beautiful flowers and happy ending💗
