  • Seth Greenberg should lose all credibility to coach ever again for not recruiting Steph to play where his dad played and where Steph wanted to play at VT... On top of that, he didn't go for Seth Curry either... You've gotta take chances with players, if you can shoot and handle the ball you can be great, I don't care how short you are. He was better than anyone on VTs roster. He probably made the right decision though to play at Davidson, their coach was more capable of developing him.

  • The guy wearing hammer pants for sleeves in this game is Austin Daye. This was his last game of college basketball. He was the first 2 and done at Gonzaga (their first one and done was Jalen Suggs), and had been given the word from the Detroit Pistons that they would take him with the 15th pick if he was still available. The Pistons honored that. Good for them, there have to be a lot of promises broken on draft nights. Why would you guarantee a 15 pick to Austin over the guy that dropped 40 in this game? Well, Austin's dad had been a 57th overall pick in the draft and had played in the NBA 5 seasons. Wait, the guy who dropped 40's dad had been... a 15 pick in the draft and retired as the Charlotte Hornets' all-time leader in points (9,839) and three-point field goals made (929) (per Wikipedia so probably bullshit). Anyway, this game was a big part of size and wingspan not being overvalued compared to quick and consistent shooting from beyond the 3 line (which has since been moved back to the FIBA line in NCAA but still not as far as the NBA line).
